My favorite was the cheapest I've ever lived in. Finally having parents who loved me was the best thing ever. They gave me so much love in my life, the house was just a bonus.

First house, where I was born I don't remember. My parents spent $2,500 for it, added onto it, sold it after 10 years for $50.000.
Second house, where I lived from age 3 to age 24, my parents paid $29,500 for it. It was fine.
Third house. A condo my wife and I rented, and we could have have purchased for $75,000, it was fine.
Four house. My current house, paid $101,000 for it 40 years ago. I'd say it was the nicest and most expensive house I have lived in.

I think the house we lived in for 35 years and raised our kids is my favorite, the one I live in now is in a much more expensive area, and I like it a lot, but have only been here 2 years. Doesn't have those memories.

I don’t know what the houses cost that I grew up in but they certainly weren’t what I would call expensive. They were all older 2 story homes in middle class neighborhoods. I’ve only lived in one house since I’ve been married almost 42 years now. It’s an early 1800’s major fixer upper that sold for 10 grand in 1979 and was totally gutted.

My house growing up where my mom lives is worth a lot of money ( it wasn’t when she bought it). I much prefer where I am now but the price isn’t even close.
