Well, what a morning.
Here on the west coast, I was up at 4:00 am, and sure enough, the 60-day window did not open. So I called the AP line, explained to the CM, and was immediately told: "Since you have the May trip, you are only eligible to book three more FPs. What days during your June trip would you like to book for?"
Problem number one: I have five days of FPs booked in May, so if the CM is basing their info on AP holders only being eligible for seven days of FPs at a time, period, then his math was off, and I should have only been able to book two days for June. When I said that my understanding of the seven-day rule is that it only applies if one or more of the stays is offsite, he insisted that no, the fourteen day or length of stay rule only applies to a single consecutive trip. I asked him if that would be the case if the stays were sixty days apart; he grew a little flustered, and said that if it were sixty days out, I'd probably be able to book seven more . . .
Rather than hassle with it so early in the morning with a CM who was all at once overly convinced and clearly confused, I just booked for the three days in my June trip that I knew would present the biggest challenges, and I plan to call when I'm more alert and ask for clarification about when I'll be eligible to book the other two days.
I guess I'm still confused, because after reading this thread, the information on the website, and multiple other sources that work to interpret the on-site stay booking rules for AP holders, I really don't know what I'm actually entitled to. What I do know is that Disney is making it way, way too complicated for me to fly across the country and spend a ton of money by staying at their resorts multiple times a year. No matter how they define or interpret their rules, that seems like bad math to me.
