Okay, the unthinkable has happened...dh has said he really doesn't feel the need to go to WDW every year...perhaps every other year. Not a huge deal since dd and I will continue our at least yearly trips. But, I was thinking of adding a trip to either HH or VB....hence the questions...
I have an almost 13 y/o dd. She loves the water and nature type stuff. Dh doesn't gold or play tennis...so, which of the two, HH or VB, might be the better bet for my family? I've tried comparing them on the websites but they both look terrific. So, figured you guys, who have already been there, done that, so to speak, might be able to offer a suggestion or two. Thanks for any insights guys!!

both have nature stuff.

I would probably go with the one closest to you....

HH is not on the beach - so if that is important to you I would go with VB.

Both resorts are lovely. HH has more of a camp theme while Vero is beachy.
I think there may be more activities for your daughter at HH. Lots of people rent bikes and ride all over the island. There are also also some "cruises" where you see dolphins. While we enjoyed our stay at HH, we have not been back. We didn't like that the resort is not on the beach, and it was rather chilly for us in May, but we're from San Antonio and almost anywhere is "cold" to us!!! This totally personal preference.

We love Vero because it is right on the beach -- we spend our days at the beach and do very little else. It's the perfect place for us to relax and enjoy the sun and water. I think the activities at Vero are aimed at children younger than your DH, but if she loves the beach then Vero is still a good choice.

No matter which one you chose, I'm sure you'll enjoy
