LanaJae, I wear black jeans. Not faded.
For coppertone, its t-shirt if it fits & NO apron. If t-shirt doesn't fit, then its your white shirt WITH an apron. You need your hat too. We are instructed to wear the bouffant too, but you'll find several people hear saying they've been told they don't need to....and you'll notice no other demo company ever has a bouffant on. But if the store tells you to wear it because you are doing food, then wear it. (health code)

No, I've never brought a sponge for the kids to apply tatoos. I just hand them out & tell them to put them on at home. I don't APPLY anything to people --- ever. Tatoos, coppertone, makeup, lotion........

And you are right, people don't really want to spray coppertone onto themselves in the store. If they are interested in seeing the spray, I demonstrate it onto a napkin. I show how it works upside down.

As for the store not having any tea out the other day, its possible it may have been on an end cap...OR it will be restocked before the date of the demo. You were still a week early. Alot can change (stock, price & location of product) in one week.

They also wouldn't know if its on order. Walmarts order is done my computer based upon what goes thru the register. Most of it is done that way...but not everything. Trying to get someone to tell you if it was or will be ordered would be almost impossible. Don't worry about that stuff. Its not your job. You have instructions on what to do IF you have no or low product. One thing with this job.....learn to just "go with it".

Thanks for all the tips/advice, I will follow it all. I do have a pair of black jeans that aren't faded. If I can't find any other light-weight ones on clearance, I'll wear them.

I'll have to buy something for my hair, it didn't say to wear it, but I better have one in case. I was going to pull my hair back in a ponytail.

I think I've had too much time to think about this lol - mostly I am afraid I will be standing there with nothing to do.

Today’s Asian Sensation/Red Baron was very very slow. Last Tuesday I could have sampled way more product and sold more if I had the product. Just the opposite today. I actually cut the egg rolls into thirds and still had plenty - even had to toss product because it sat too long. I did manage to sell 10 of the 13 boxes of egg rolls though. I may have sold two boxes of pizza. You just never know.

Splash - Now I know why my Red Baron pizza last week took twice as long as yours to nuke. I bought the wrong size last week. I bought the “medium” size thin crust pizza instead of the singles. I looked at the Product name on the Event instructions and not the photo above that said singles. I did notice the UPC didn’t match, but it was close so I just went ahead and bought what I did. It was all the same price too. Hope I don’t get in trouble for it.

You shouldn't get in trouble. At one of them, I substituted deep dish towards the end because I had so few thin crust. Those aren't nearly as good by the way. But the MINI deep dish are YUMMY!!! We buy those.

Today, they only had 10 egg rolls when I got there...and they only carry pork shrimp variety. They went over well at the other stores, but people didn't want to try them at this store. And there were only 5 thin crust pizzas when I got there. Bought as little as I thought I would need. Sold out by 12:30. Ran out of samples at 3:30. It was slower too due to heat I think.

No. My daughter and I were there in June 2005 with some other moms/daughters for a fun little trip! This however will be the 1s time for my mom (turning 70 a few days before we leave!) and my oldest sister and my husband!
They are all very glad my daughter and I have been before so we're making it much easier for them by knowing just a little bit about things!

I FINALLY got my welcome packet and can book events
BUT i log in and the only things available in the next 8 weeks are 40+ miles and 5 of the six are all on the same day, just different locations. (7/19 Big G - Chex events).
Do I just keep checking back hoping for something more???

The same thing happened to me, all events were for the same day and nothing else. A week later, another event was added. I've been checking twice a day - the posts here say summer is slow.

Congratulations on becoming a Consumer Connector. Yes, just keep checking ebooking for more events. Sometimes a week or two goes by with no “new” event. Other times, there may be two or three in a week. Also, something may show up that was unbooked by somebody else. If a WM or KMart event has not been booked about 7-10 days out, it will probably go off-date. You’ll get paid a little less, but you can select one of the dates from the drop-down box to work.

I'm used to the Kansas heat and worst of all, humidity so we should be okay! I know when we were there in June 2005, the entire time it was not warmer than 75!! The week before and the week after were really warm so we got lucky!

Yippy!! Just looked at payroll and my check was cut today....looks like CQ Cosmetics was an "enhanced event" because it was booked as an off-date and I still made $77.00 before taxes!!! (after taxes $71.12)!

I just looked and I'm getting paid for two events; one I just did on 6/19. That's pretty quick. With the 4th being next Wednesday, I wonder if payroll will be behind.

Did anyone else get an e-mail about CQ cosmetics on the 19th? I got one saying that the directions had changed and in bold print an auditor will be visiting. Kind of has me freaked out but it'll be the third CQ I've done.

Just grabbed an 8/09 event for Toaster Strudel and Hamburger Helper. I'm happy to see an August job! Only cooking involved is the Toaster Strudel. There are individual sample packs of the Hamburger Helper to hand out, plus brochures for Wanchai Ferry (looks like asian-style entrees).

Did anyone else get an e-mail about CQ cosmetics on the 19th? I got one saying that the directions had changed and in bold print an auditor will be visiting. Kind of has me freaked out but it'll be the third CQ I've done.

My CQ is on 7/13 not the 19th like yours and my email did not say they WOULD be visiting in bold! Here is what mine said:

There has been a change to the event you are currently scheduled for. Please check www.myebooking.com for the most current information and to redownload your event instructions and store report form. A Mass Connections representative may be visiting your store, please ensure you are prepared - you may receive a bonus!

The only thing I would worry about for myself is I can't wear the HUGE apron they supply so last time I did it, I work the black one! The one they send went to the floor it was so big! Would not think that would be a big deal but it does not sound like there will be an auditor at my store for certain anyway.

8/9....the only day I have something marked on my calendar for that month. A dr's appt I had to make a year in advance. I guess I'll call & see if I can change it. sigh....

Yes, I'm doing it. I gave one to my dog when I got my kit and she loved it. I had to hide the bags as she was going ballistic for them.

I picked up one of the HH/Toaster Strudel back-to-school events. Hope a couple of the stores go off-date since both of my daughters will be at Band Camp the following week and I'll have all that week I could work.
