quick question::confused3
I see that someone must have unbooked a Coppertone for 6/30. There is no way to get a kit that QUICK . The blurb at the top of the page says you only get paid on date if you have time to get a kit so if I wont get on date pay should i just book an off-date in a week or so in order to wait on the kit?? This would be my first event so i dont have a table or anything else to use in reserve.
THANKS

Hey all..

Haven't been around much lately (lack of jobs, ya know) but since I'm leaving for WDW tomorrow:banana: I wanted to pop in & say howdy.

Lucky you!!!! Say hi to Mickey for me. He's probably forgotten who I am by now. ;)

Hi all. I'm doing those doggie dental treats today too. I don't have a dog to try them on. Our dog passed away last fall. I was going to have my neice's dog try them but I didn't get to see them.
I actually have three days in a row booked this weekend. I had doggie dental treats today and Quesidillas at K-Mart tomorrow but they changed the quesidillas to Sunday. That left my Saturday open so I was able to snag a Coppertone for tomorrow when it popped up. Whoo hoo! I like the extra pay for Coppertone.:goodvibes
Did anyone do that Oust air cleaner last week? I didn't do too bad. I actually sold more of them than I thought I would. I was disapointed that I didn't receive my preview sample though. Then when I got home from the event what do you think was sitting on my porch? My sample. Nice. Unless I'm phsycic I wonder how I was supposed to tell people how well it worked for me at home.:lmao:

Hope everyone doing events today has a good one. Jobs are getting scarce hopefully things improve soon.

Hello all! I hope you all are doing well. I few jobs are showing up in ST for July here and Walmart is showing up in Aug. unforunitely for me they are the days I have outside plans.:sad1:

Today I have Delmonte fruit chillers and bloom energy drink.

I did my last coppertone event today. :cool1: I have somehow accumulated 17 bottles of sunscreen. I had one woman ask me how to get into doing demos. Is it wrong that I gave her a competitor's name? DH says no. I'm just a little selfish right now especially with there being so few jobs.

:lmao: I don't blame you at all!:rotfl2:

I did my first event yesterday. I gave the left-over testers to the person that signed me out. I asked the manager to sign the form, but he said to have this other employee do it, I hope that was okay.

I know we leave the left-over product that we purchase with the MC card with the store, but are we supposed to take what was sent in the kit back with us?

Oh another question for anyone - when we count beginning product, do we only count what we are demoing? If I had counted all the Coppertone products, it would've taken me over an hour, and they had 3 big displays, an endcap and possibly other places scattered throughout the store. I only put the numbers down for the two types that people tested.

It was hard to get people to take the brochures, but the tatoos were gone by the end of the day, I sold out on tea, I sold out on the clear spray.

I had a few families on their way to the beach that sprayed down all their kids with sunscreen - had a hazy cloud around me for an hour.

I think you were very smart to give a competitor's name!

I have not ever kept any leftover product LanaJae...on the forms it says you are not supposed to. I would've loved some of that Coppertone, no one has ever sampled any off my table LOL The Wal-Marts i've done put the testers on the display after i'm done demo-ing them.

Every place I demo (wal-mart stores) they don't want the left over product! The 1st time this happend I called the weekend # and was told no problem...give to someone who can use it they said!

Well crud, why can't I get a place like that LOL

While this job pays well I don't think people realize all that you have to do. Set up tables and the tear down, Bringing your own equipment to walmarts, kmarts and some target stores. Most days I come home totally exhausted. I love going this job, but alot of people are looking for easy money. Long winded answer to Yes I would also give the name of another company we don't have enough jobs sometimes.

So far I have just 3 jobs for July some by choice and none for August yet.

Congratulations on completing your first event.

Sample product provided in your kit should also be left with the store. If the store does not want the product, you should have them write on your Store Report form that product was refused. That way you're covering yourself.

As you've indicated, Coppertone product is everywhere and would be a chore to count. I just took a wild guess for beginning and ending inventory along with amount sold.

Thanks, that's a good idea. I have sunscreen falling out of my cuppboards from doing CVS extra-care bucks (another thing I learned here!)

Thanks - did you just count (edit: estimate) the types you had testers for?

Are we supposed to just recycle the displays when we're done? I am doing another Coppertone tomorrow and I never received another kit. I emailed to check and haven't received a reply, at least I have the display, clothes and some brochures left, but not enough cups. If people do more than one of the same event, do they usually send additional things? I booked it 6 days before the date, so maybe that was too close.

To tell you the truth, I just picked a number and went with it. Product was in 3 different locations; that I could find. Also, there was a lot of empty space on the messy shelves and product was out of place. If the product was more organized, I would have estimated what I was promoting.

I recycle my displays. You should get an event kit for each demo you do unless they don’t have time to get one to you. For this event, the instructions tell you to call in before you activate your MC card to have your budget increased to buy cups and Coppertone. I would have thought 6 days would have been plenty of time to get you a kit because I know they sometimes overnight them. Your coordinator should have been able to track the kit for you.

.

It does seem the other companies have way more work than we do. I was the lone MC person among four other Promoworks ladies at WM Saturday. The one lady was suppose to be doing Nestle Tea, but they didn’t have product so she was leaving. Had they had the product, two of us would have been competing for the tea business.

Thank you. Maybe it'll come within the next hour, still haven't received a reply to my email, but I didn't write until Sat. I was hoping for more tattoos because that kept me busy watching for kids.
