Did anyone happen to count the number of Splashers samples in the box? I didn't realize, until about an hour into it, that I completely forgot to count how many. I gave away the last one a few minutes before 4, so I'd like to know exactly how many were in the box. Please? :) Thanks in advance!!

I didn't count them, but according to my box label, there were 50 size 3-4, 24 size 5, and 14 size 6.

Okay here's my story......

went in and met the asst manager- went to school with him- he told me to set upwhere ever I want- I took the sunscreen display! :)

Set up near a guy demoing 'avena' lotions- he had a pin on- that was it, and normal clothing- he had a very thick british accent- couldnt get what company he worked for- but they pay $54.00 for a 6 hour event, they call him with the events he can have, and he does not have taxes taken out. He also breaks down his display at 3:00 and 'shops' for the last hour??? Whatever LOL

I didnt count my splashers either- I didnt see a part on the phone call to put that in anyway- it asked how many of the product was demo'd I put 6 for the 6 coppertones- really I couldnt tell you how many coppertones were sold- I counted 200 when I started, and 180 when I left- but I also missed another display I found on my way out- with who knows how many more.

What a boring event- holy crap, nobody sprayed the bottles- NOBODY....I was passing out stickers and tatoo's to the kids- offering the splashers- most people who wanted them wanted smaller than the 3-4 size- course I didnt have those..

I was giving them out in multiple at the end- and at 345 gave the box of the 6 testers and the left over splashers and dropped them off at the customer service desk when the manager signed my paper.

I printed 15 of the coupons- put them on the shelves with the product- and I think when I left 14 were still there...

Can I say again, what a boring event?

Okay- now for what I saw. Promo lady with a sunflower name tag- eating the product she was demoing- nasty....guy with the same pin as the other guy- demoing food as well, had on his gloves- nice touch- until he wiped his nose with the back of his hand......and the aveno guy- was on his cell phone just about the entire time....we were at opposite ends of the sunscreen display...

Tomorrow is KMART with the hershey bars- which is going to be a longer day than today was- NOBODY shops at this kmart- it's at the opposite end of the 'strip' that walmart is on- everyone passes walmart to get to kmart- so nobody passes. they just go to walmart. honestly- You can go to walmart, and see LINES of people - park across the pond- and go to kmart, and be the only shopper in the store......god I hope its not as bad as today :)

I did have one guy say "shouldnt you be tanner?" now, I'm a tanner- I tan year round I'm about as tan as your going to get without being leathery...I've tanned 2x a week since February- so I said- well, I'm the coppertone girl, not the haiwain tropic girl, we promote healthy skin- with sunscreen....he laughed and took a tattoo...

I was near an Aveeno demo too... I know the company but can never remember the name "All about... ??" "Instore...??" something like that.. She also said she just signed up with MC because she's tired of doing the lower paying jobs (great more competition:rolleyes: ) But mine has yours beat... after she introduced herself I looked down the aisle a few minutes later & she was GONE.. table, everything gone.. It was about 1:45.. She was there before I got there so I figure it was an 'early' event.. but I noticed her at 3:30 wandering around the store.. and finally leaving the store when I did, with her card table in tow (where it was for over 2 hrs I do not know?!).

You've got to love these other demo companies. :lmao: Just about all that I've met or seen are just a piece of work. I have met a few good employees but they are few & far between. That's for sure. I'm just glad that my workload isn't affected by them slacking off like in my last office job.

Brandy, HBA, cosmetics & cleaning events are snoozers to me. I try not to book them in general, but I figured Coppertone wouldn't be as painful for me as make-up stuff. I think cleaning stuff is the most boring, but I'll do them sometimes. Give me food event any old day. lol

So, anyone else having trouble remembering even ONE line for tomorrows Hersheys? LOL I think I'm just tired.

The WM I was in yesterday didn't have any Splashers. I set up near the Coppertone display. We are having beautiful weather this weekend so I guess no one wants to shop. It was very slow.
I'm afraid today is going to be even worse. The Kmart I'm in is never very busy.:sad2:
I'm sorry that i booked 2 events this weekend!!
I hope everyone working today has a great day!!!!!

I'm not sure how many people are going to shop today. I have Diet Pepsi today. Not sure how many Pepsi's to buy. I at least can come out of the cooler area so far no hot flashes today :thumbsup2

Hopefully everyone has a good day today.

Good morning! Can I ask a favor? To all my friends here who believe in the power of prayer, can I get you all to offer up a quick prayer for the people of Greensburg, KS (100 miles west of where I live).
It's been all over CNN and the other networks but in case you've been busy doing events, 95% of the town was destroyed by a tornado Friday night!:sad2:
It's very, very sad. I keep thinking of the seniors who were to graduate soon and they have no school. Only things left standing were city hall with major roof damage and a grain elevator!:guilty:
Please if you have a minute pray that their heartache might be eased as much as possible!

Thanks you guys!!

I saw that on the news yesterday Lisa. Just horrific. I will definately keep all those involved in my prayers.

Well the Hershey even was B-O-R-I-N-G! I only sampled 4 bars. Everyone liked them but no one was in the store!

Just back from my Hershey's event. It went great! The store was slow so thelast two hours I stopped cutting the squares in half and handed out whole squares. I still only used about 3/4 of my samples bars. They sold well, though. I sold out of the Antioxident and only had two Whole Bean bars left. Not too shabby. The store was great, the people were nice, and everyone seemed to love the chocolate! All in all, I'd say it was a success :goodvibes

This is a great part time job. I'm so happy to have found it

YAWN...............zzzzzzzz. Hershey's so boring. They did not have either featured product OR the alternate product. I'll be darned if I was going to just stand there & promote using brochure like directions said. I called the weekend hotline & told them they did carry the Extra Dark Chocolate which was the 3 chocolate bar pictured on the brochure. And the label did talk about anti-oxidants. She checked & said I could use the Extra Dark Chocolate.

I bought 14, but only sampled out 9 bars. Only sold 6 of those however - bitter tasting. BUT, I talked to every person about the Anti-oxidant Milk Chocolate & gave them a brochure. I guess I accomplished what they wanted.

BUT....on the way home, I saw a house for sale that I really liked. I've called the realtor & waiting to hear back on the price. :scared:

Boring must be the theme today! I did Diet Pepsi. I only used 4 of the 9 2 liters. No one was in the store. I think most people were using the Diet Pepsi to wash down the rice cakes someone else was demoing :lmao: Everone was saying I know what it tastes like :confused3 No one bought the 2 liters but were buying the 12 packs and the liter sizes. Counting the ending inventory was easy since I didn't not have one taker.

Just catching up on the news now. Just horrible. :sad2:

My Hershey event went much better than the Coppertone. :cool1: Luckily, Kmart had the bars and I sold 24 of the 29. I used all 28 bars and finished up the last sample at 3:45. A lot of consumers wanted to sample the Dark Chocolate listed on the info sheet. Even though my Kmart is old, tired, and poorly stocked, it has a lot of customers. Six registers going and there were 4-5 in line most of the day.

Splash - Hope the house you saw works out. :goodvibes

ldb1030 - Will keep your neighbors in our thoughts and prayers. Mother Nature can sure be devastating at times.:sad1:

Family Fun Mom - I’ll ditto your comment on this being a great part-time job. :woohoo:

Thanks you guys for the prayers!:thumbsup2 Keep them coming!

They are letting residents in tomorrow morning for a few hours to try and salvage what they can!:sad2:
School is cancelled the rest of the semester of course and the seniors graduation has been postponed till who knows when!

I'm hoping all the lost pets find a way back to their owners soon!

ldb1030 I saw a little about that town this morning on GMA. It's hard to fathom something here one minute and then gone the next. I'll keep all in my prayers

Hey, totally forgot to mention this. Did anyone else notice that they brown cardboard box that was inside the white MC box for todays Hershey event had a label on it from PROMOWORKS? :confused3 Weird.

Brivers had a picture like that months ago, but I couldn't remember what demo co it was from.

well hershey's is done.

I ended up buying 10 anti and 8 whole bean because I had to leave stock to sell......

Was even hard to give away chocolate at kmart! It is a much older store- and only 'older' people shop there. a lot of them are diabetic can't have chocolate...lovely.

But the displays in the store- were between the registers and the door to leave. I asked the manager if I could move them- nope...I explained that its sorta hard to buy them when your already done in line....no go..

Everyone that tasted did enjoy it- I did 150 samples- not bad, handed out about 20 postcards- everyone was looking for a coupon. i think had the postcard been with a coupon- everyone would have been much happier- and would have actually bought it.

i did take quite a bit to my table, for display- and offered the price to those who took samples. But I did not sell 1 single bar of candy!....

My box has a promoworks sticker on it as well........and no knife. I just snapped the bars in half.

Ugh what a weekend...........

Brandy

Do any of the experts out there know if I can send SPi 2 store report forms together (yesterdays event & todays)?

P.S. I almost forgot to sign the Required Client Report Form- that would've been a good one.
