Anyone else having issues with the staying connected web site? I can log in but not view/book events.

They must be having problems or updating something. I called they said the site is down if you have an event today call them.

Spi just called and asked me to demo the green mountain coffee at ST next Saturday, said he'd give me the ebooking!! You know, you'd think if they call you, they want someone bad enough they'd give you an incentive $$ as opposed to not giving you the full ebooking rate!! (just my thoughts!!)

Just read thru the event instructions and it sounds like the same kind of machine the tassimo y'all were posting about! :confused3 I didnt realize its the new ST a few miles away from my home (as opposed to the one blocks away!! :rotfl: ) but I think I'll drive over there tomorrow to get the lay of the land - I've never done a ST demo - and I too had to lol at the name of the wine - I'm nervouse demo ing wine at a ST - you have to make sure they drink teh wine right there! (and it says they will survellience you, and if there is any mistakes, they come and shut you down - too much pressure (for good reasons obviously!) for my first ST event!

any hints on the Keurig machine?

just went to the greenmountaincoffee.com website, and they have a 'demo' of it, and a review saying its easier than the tassimo machine!!

No problem!! Good thing I bought black shoes today!

The day was really slow, which surprised me - but I guess even yesterday I was told that the grocery area wasn't too busy. Not as many people wanted to try sugar-free pudding as they did the cheesecake bites close to me. :)

What was scary was that I went on my break, and was sitting in the cafe area when I heard a noise behind me. I'd noticed the guy earlier, he reminded me of someone I know. I thought at first he was trying to clear his throat, but he was choking. I ran to find someone to help, another guy went over to him (the guy had stuff running out of his nose, but was making enough noise where I know now that there was at least a tiny bit of air, though not much). The people I told to get managers weren't very swift, but fortunately by the time I got back a minute or so later, he was clear. He coughed a lot afterwards, and his throat was acidic and hoarse, but he was okay.

I came home and had my husband let me practice the heimlich on him. I need to know that I can do that if faced with a situation again like this. I'll be studying for a personal trainer certifications soon, and need to get re-trained in CPR too.

I went and introduced myself to one of the managers at the ABC liquors I am doing the wine label event at on 12/6. He was nice and the 70th anniversary event sounds like fun. Lots of demos and samples will be going on there. I told him my name and said see you on the 6th. We had to get some holiday liquor so it worked out well. It is a nice ABC and was crowded with lots of shopers. Lots of nice wine.

I had Jello pudding sugar free variety. People hated it!! The only one that they have way tolerated was the Dulce de Leche kind. I finally switched them out for some regular kind. Alot of people did not want their kids to have splenda. I agree no one wanted pudding after cheese cake bites.

Well tommorrow on to Oregon Chai Tea!!

I'm so glad you posted this, I introduced myself at the store I'm doing the wine tasting, and the manager made me feel... weird. she didnt know any "outsiders" were coming into "her" store... I replied, well I often get reassigned... ( didnt want to antagonize the situation, hoping to defuse it!!) I had bought wine a couple days piror, and a couple days after too -... anything to make myself look "ok" in her eyes!!

I agree also, not everyone wanted Splenda - and the Dulce one was actually good, the others weren't as popular. I put away the coffee type one after a while, since noone wanted it.

MMMM pudding...
Those were very much "grown up" flavors.
Lots of parents had kids try but wouldn't take one for themsleves.
I made sure to point out that it was a coffee flavor.. but parents would tell me "oh she likes coffee" and hand it to their preschooler. :confused3

Only had a few people turn it down because of the Splenda. Some turned it down simply because they prefer the sugar kind due to taste.

Lots of ladies on weight watchers who oohed and awed over the flavors. I think this was the intended audience. If they did this in January (new year resolutions/diets) it would sell like crazy! :rotfl:

Slow day was expected, didn't pick up until it was close to 4:00.

Well i decided to unbook the tassimo event. I am leaving the follwoing weekend and booked myself for both the saturday and sunday before and decided that the tassimo was just too much trouble even for hte extra pay. So my only upcoming event is taht kmart holiday sheer or something like that!

I still have not gotten my paycheck for Oct 29th.... It's been almost a month.. How long should I wait before I complain...????

When do you receive the debit card? It wasn't in the new hire package.
Mine came in the "new hire package". Are you scheduled for an event? If not, maybe you don't get it until then - just guessing though. Hopefully one of the veterans will chime in.

Also for you veterans, I received my "new hire package" Saturday and on the back of the protective sleeve that holds the MC card, it states to put your background check Certification here. I didn't receive any background certification. Do you guys have this and if so, did you get it separate from your "new hire package"?

Thanks

I got a new sleeve containing the background check sticker about a month later...never been asked to supply it.

I 'm through TMT, I have been paid thru 11/5. Three weeks after event is the standard for TMT.. not use who you are thru but... Time to call and complain if you haven't recvd at least thru 10/29 events. It may take another day or two for 11/5 pay period to arrive by mail.
