Kotex is boring as an on-date... It is down right killer doing it as an off-date!

All I have is the $1 off coupons as the Free package coupons expired on 3/4/07... What's the point of doing off-dates for events when the main coupon expires the day after the on-date event.

Anyways, I forgot my camera yesterday (took some pics on my cell phone) but I did bring it today, so we will see how that turns out.

I am not looking forward to these next three days doing this Kotex as this is the worst event ever excitment wise.

At least the paycheck will be sort of nice $200 before taxes on these 4 events.

I have to agree, for me this was my worst event, dont know why cuz i did well as far as free packages go but i was exhausted. I dont envy you (cept for the $$) for having to do 4 of these.

I was just reading my paper work for Diet Dr. Pepper this weekend. It says I'll have coupons for FREE 2-liters good on MARCH 10th ONLY........so if they don't have the stock (which I'm afraid of) there are going to be alot of pissed off people and they'll all be pissed at me!!!:furious:

Has anyone seen Scrubbing Bubbles as an off-date event yet? I'm scheduled for the event Saturday and there is still a Dr. Pepper open in my area for the same date. I'm thinking about calling TMT to see if I can unbook Scrubbing Bubbles for 3/10 and do it as an off-date and then doing Dr. Pepper Saturday since no one is picking it up.

Yes, Scrubbing Bubbles comes up as off dates available thru 3/15. :)

AND, if I get that same manager again who INSISTS I set up in Food Ave, then the people will need to take the coupon & go back thru the registers to use it.

Or, if they already bought soda off the shelf and THEN found out there was a coupon after, they'll be pissed. I suppose I can tape coupons to 1/2 the bottles on the shelf to solve that problem though.

I just wish they would let me set up near the product. :rolleyes2 I guess I'll be directing all complaints towards her. And everyone who wants to return the soda so they can use the coupon too.

I seem to encounter her mostly on Sundays....so HOPEFULLY I'll get Mr. Logic again & not Ms. Unlogical. lol She's really nice other than this issue.

well I just booked yet another Kotex event, duh! People need to stop dropping them. I am now doing demo's for 8 days straight... not to mention my regular 40hr job :crazy2:

The good news about the Target I go to Saturday is that food ave. is right at the entrance so I should not have the problem of handing out coupons when they are leaving. I know at our ST, food ave. is where people are leaving like yours!
I'm just worried they won't find the kit, won't have chilled anything etc......

I was able to switch my Scrubbing Bubbles from Saturday to Tuesday so I could do Dr. Pepper at Target Saturday instead. :cool1: The Food Ave. at this Target is as you enter the store. Hopefully, they'll have the kit with coupons and 2 liter bottles, otherwise the coupon is worthless. The Target I was at last week did not have 2 liter bottles. I'm calling the GSTL Friday afternoon to give them a "heads up" that product needs to be chilled. Don't want to have to deal with unchilled product.

brivers - Anxiously awaiting Kotex pics. :rotfl:

I think I've decided I will all the Target store on Friday as well. Do I just ask for the manager? Of course the manager there on Friday probably won't be the same manager there on Saturday! :worried:

The Target I’ve been to most often, has told me “everybody” is there Friday from 2:30 - 3:00 and that is a good time to call. So I call and ask for the GSTL - (Guest Service Team Leader). I’ve only been to the Target I’m doing Saturday once before, last Saturday, so I don’t know if they’ll appreciate me calling or not. What was interesting though, at this Target, since they couldn’t find my kit, the LOD got on the computer to see “what was happening” in the stores that day and sure enough found the event. Still no box, but she was then convinced I was there the right day and the kit was missing.

So did you not do the even then and left? My info says if my kit can't be located, I need to ask if there is a table I can use then buy napkins and cups.
I only have $15.25 (after my swipe out) and to buy those AND 14 2 liter bottles, that's not going to be enough $ unless the liters are on sale for super cheap!

I bring my own table and keep it out in the car when I have an event that says TABLE KIT shipped to store. I never trust them

This past Diet Pepsi Jazz event they gave us $16 to buy 16 2-liters... yeah not going to happen (were we supposed to use our coupons because that is the only way we could have swung that amount).

I bought 12 bottles total (with the $1.20 deposit they charge) and had just enough for my swipe out.

The Target I worked at for the Diet Pepsi Jazz didn’t have 2 liter bottles, but they did have my kit. (couldn’t find kit for Flat Earth Crisps). Luckily, they took it upon themselves and chilled 7 12pks. for me since they didn’t have the liter bottles. Since I only had $15.25 to work with, I could only buy 4 of the chilled 12 pks. (did get TMT’s permission before buying) which was just about the right amount for the 4 hours. You’ll definitely have a problem buying all of the product plus napkins and cups if the kit is not found. I plan on taking some of the extra napkins and cups I have left from previous events just incase. I don’t know if you call your event coordinator on the day of the event if they can increase the amount on your card or not. :confused3 My guess is you'll only be able to buy 8-10 liter bottles if you have to buy napkins & cups.

Yeah, if its says kit delivered to store, I too pack up a table & everything that I have on hand (cups, napkins, tableclothe, signs, gloves.....) to be able to run the event. I leave it in the car in case I need it.

Funny thing is, I don't think I've needed it but once so far. But, if I DON'T bring it, you know I'll need it.

Besides, I'll do anything to reduce my growing inventory of cups, napkins, spoons & forks. Also from leftover kits, I've acquired a stash of tables, tableclothes, duct tape, extension cords, cutting boards, knives, hairnets, foil..... :rotfl:

Yeah, I am doing Diet Dr Pepper this weekend, Hope I get my kit....
Today, did the Biscuits again.... Don't you hate it when kids walk by and cough right over your table... the parent didn't even say she was sorry... Had to throw away all the biscuits....
Or worst yet, It is cold outside, parent dresses warm, but she doesn't put socks on her baby, Barefeet hanging out of cart in the frozen food section, the baby looked like she was freezing.... gosh......

Just looking at my email. Daniel replied & says the minimum age for working for MC / SPI is 16. :thumbsup2

You guys were right. I've got to get 18 out of my head now.

BTW...still no email about pay increase even though MA was on that list.

Are we supposed to (or allowed to) keep leftover napkins and cups from events for use at other events? I only brought my table home, everything else I left at the store. What's the official deal with that?

Well, yes, the paperwork states we are supposed to leave everything with the store like kit supplies & product.

BUT, its ok to take the kit supplies home to be used in other events (cups, napkins, utensils, cutting boards, knives, table clothes, extenstion cords, duct tape......). However, do not take the product demo'd home. Coupons are to be destroyed. I think we have all been saved more than once by still being able to run an event because we had supplies even though we didn't receive out kit on time at home or it can't be found at the store.

I have stated it on the bottom of report forms that I used left over supplies & that's why my receipt doesn't show purchase of cups or napkins. Also, several of us have been told on the phone or by email that its ok to keep supplies for future events.

And by all means, keep the table.
My first event kit included a nice blue table clothe & matching apron. I was told I could keep them for personal use. Same with any shirts you get in kits.
And that event, I was instructed to buy a cutting board. Again, I was told to keep it for future events or personal use. I used it for demos until they recently started including those thin cutting boards we get now.

I finally get a day off.... But I could work today, Sheba and Fresh Step, but my kids get out of school early today and I would like to be here with them. Not leave them at the After School program again... So I guess I will be home today... Although I need the money to pay for my spending ticket, I rather be home with my kids....
I have an event tomorrow, More Biscuits..... then I work Sat and Sun-Thur....

2 new events coming up for me at walmart:
La Lechera Flakes on 3/30 and
Pillsbury Polvorones on 4/6 or 4/7

The second says for highly hispanic areas so it may not show up for some. Unfotunately I have to pass on these as on is o a friday and the 4/7 involves toaster oven..lol

Thanks, I already picked up the Pillsbury Polvorones... Had to look them up to see what they were, Cookies, I can do that... Glad I got one because today they are all gone... I guess our posted yesterday afternoon....
