Well, yes, the paperwork states we are supposed to leave everything with the store like kit supplies & product.
BUT, its ok to take the kit supplies home to be used in other events (cups, napkins, utensils, cutting boards, knives, table clothes, extenstion cords, duct tape......). However, do not take the product demo'd home. Coupons are to be destroyed. I think we have all been saved more than once by still being able to run an event because we had supplies even though we didn't receive out kit on time at home or it can't be found at the store.
I have stated it on the bottom of report forms that I used left over supplies & that's why my receipt doesn't show purchase of cups or napkins. Also, several of us have been told on the phone or by email that its ok to keep supplies for future events.
And by all means, keep the table.
My first event kit included a nice blue table clothe & matching apron. I was told I could keep them for personal use. Same with any shirts you get in kits.
And that event, I was instructed to buy a cutting board. Again, I was told to keep it for future events or personal use. I used it for demos until they recently started including those thin cutting boards we get now.
I have had a couple of cases where the store does not want to keep the demo product......I was told in that case, just have them state that on the form they sign. For example, I did diapers last fall and the package was opened to demo and the store said "you paid for it, and it's open, why would we keep it?" so I called and was told just to have them write that they refused the product and then they said if I knew someone that could use them, that would be okay to give them away! or toss them for all they cared!
