Well, yes, the paperwork states we are supposed to leave everything with the store like kit supplies & product.

BUT, its ok to take the kit supplies home to be used in other events (cups, napkins, utensils, cutting boards, knives, table clothes, extenstion cords, duct tape......). However, do not take the product demo'd home. Coupons are to be destroyed. I think we have all been saved more than once by still being able to run an event because we had supplies even though we didn't receive out kit on time at home or it can't be found at the store.

I have stated it on the bottom of report forms that I used left over supplies & that's why my receipt doesn't show purchase of cups or napkins. Also, several of us have been told on the phone or by email that its ok to keep supplies for future events.

And by all means, keep the table.
My first event kit included a nice blue table clothe & matching apron. I was told I could keep them for personal use. Same with any shirts you get in kits.
And that event, I was instructed to buy a cutting board. Again, I was told to keep it for future events or personal use. I used it for demos until they recently started including those thin cutting boards we get now.

I have had a couple of cases where the store does not want to keep the demo product......I was told in that case, just have them state that on the form they sign. For example, I did diapers last fall and the package was opened to demo and the store said "you paid for it, and it's open, why would we keep it?" so I called and was told just to have them write that they refused the product and then they said if I knew someone that could use them, that would be okay to give them away! or toss them for all they cared!

Dodukes - thanks so much for the info. I think I will jump in and give it a try -can't hurt, right. I will let you all know what happens. Thanks again for your quick & helpful response. I love DISers.

Someone from SPi contacted me to see if I would run two consecutive 3 1/2 hour demos at about $17.50 per hour this weekend, but I just can't do it. I so want to.

I've wanted to do this on many occasion , why didnt i get an email like this..lol

I just got the STRANGEST email from staying-connected. It was a simply reminder to everyone to book event for this weekend. And then a really bad joke video of annoying co-workers.

Have you ever watched the videos on Staying-Connecteds site? Strange sense of humor for a company website. :rotfl:

It's a strange company.:thumbsup2

I got that also!:rotfl2: I'm already booked for Saturday. Nothing in my area for Sunday!

Did anybody catch the box on the login page that states we'll soon be able to report results on-line - no more phones?

I received the same email & they haven't sent me the info I need to book myself.

I am doing my 1st event this weekend at Target. I never even knew about this until I joined the boards. Thanks to all!!

I am completely confused. I signed up for Mass connections & The Merchandising Team. I think they are the same company or becoming the same company. Am I right?

Hummmm, the “coming soon” on-line results box is not there this morning. Wonder if someone prematurely put it on the website?

No jobs in this area after this weekend. Are we going through a slow period again.:sad2:

Do you mail more than one Store Report Form in one envelope? I’ve been through my paperwork and it’s not addressed. Somewhere I thought I read they were to be in separate enveolopes.:confused3

Received an email from TMT that Target events remained open for this weekend and if you were available, you could work a second event that day. Of course, this had to be done by phone and the second one doesn’t qualify for ebooking rate. :sad1: I’m now doing Archer Farms Coffee in the morning (9-1) and Archer Farms Cookies in the afternoon at a different Target (2-6). If product is available, it should be fairly easy. Even easier if product is not available. ;)

I am getting very frustrated. I have now worked 5 events-on 2/10, 2/11, 2/17, 2/24 and 3/4. I have not been paid for anything yet. I emailed them and they said they sent my check from 2/10 and 2/11 out on Feb. 21st. I have never recieved it. The are "looking into it". I know a lot of you have worked for them for a while but this is very frustrating. If I am going to get the run around all the time it is not worth being away from my family on the weekends, even for $14/hr. So what is the story with payment? I already have 3 more events booked, but I will cancel them if getting paid is always such a hassle.

I received my check Monday, 3/5, for my 2/11 event. I'm with TMT and they are a little slower than SPi in sending out checks. If you're with TMT, they sent out a Payment Schedule for 2007.

Heads up... new event for 4/8 Pace Frozen Entrees at WM.... I booked it but it sounds kinda gross:

Chicken Enchilada Casserole
Fajita Steak
Mexican Lasagna
Cheesy Chicken Enchilada

You have to microwave each for 30 minutes.

Why on earth would they be doing events on Easter Sunday???:confused3

Also, I don't have a paycheck yet from last event, which was the 24th of Feb. I believe!
