Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

Jim you are A- MAZING! Well done on your achievement, i'm sure you're thrilled. Great report too by the way.

Team- you're all doing great, i don't know how you're finding so much time. I am seriously beyond impressed (especially dedication of running in shoes that have been 'flooded'). Also not sure how i'm going to fit in my plan around night shifts which start next week. Oh i'll be nearly on your time then, :rotfl:

I've only managed a short run this morning before work of 3.1 miles in 31 mins. It was -5 C here this morning, we're having some sort of second chill. I'm going to try to run outside for a bit tomorrow tho :cold:

OK, I hated not having internet access over the weekend!

Here's my miles really late (if they don't count in the game, oh well.)

Saturday- Bridge Run 5k in about 32.29. Oh yeah! I'm going to have to say a bridge run should be worth double points regardless of the game- that was hard. ;) I wore my WISH shirt for the first time outside of Disney. No one commented, but it made me happy. And I did think of you Carrie, and wondered if you were in a tank and shorts too!:rotfl: In the spirit of WISH, I ran the last long downhill with a guy I know from home, but he's still new and excited, so when he was distracted (taking pictures of the finish line) I let him slip ahead a bit. It wasn't like I was trying to set a 5k PR on a bridge!

Later on Saturday, did a 7 mile walk with the family. This time we didn't stop for any breaks. Let's call it 2 hours 20 minutes.

So, Saturday: 3.12 in 32 (double!) and 7 miles in 2:20

Sunday- walked 6 miles with family (DD started complaining during this walk!). Then another 4 miles with extended family (DD miraculously recovered when the cousins she worships came with us!:rolleyes1 )

So Sunday, 10 miles in about 3 hours.

Stacie- you can wash the shoes. I think faced with the alternative, it's worth the risk. Jim's right- no dryer.

Everybody's looking good- I have to go back and catch up now!

Today was XT for me. I did 2.3 miles on the elliptical in 30 minutes. Slugs?! WWDave must have read Jim's marathon report and is just jealous to the max! ;)

Actually since I can only stretch and play in the pool but no walk training, yeah I am. You just wait though the year is young.

Jim- Great race report! I can verify that this was a hot weekend (I was up the road in St. Simons). A couple of my friends ran the half. I haven't had a chance to ask them the details, but being nosy, I looked up their times. They were both much slower than their anticipated/average times (and I know they were good about their training). It looks like it was a hard race! You are going to be so ready for Goofy!

Jen - Great job this weekend! The main totals are monthly and teh yearly, so no worries on being late!

BTW, if we were slugs, we'd be setting records with time too. ;)

My 1st post-marathon run this morning.

3.5 miles in 36:14

And were my legs soooooo stiff. I started out at about a 14 min/mile pace, but was gradually able to stretch out as time went on.

For some reason the road felt really HARD today. :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

But at least I am upright again. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Jim - OMG. That is amazing!!!! We don't even try to run until the following Saturday. We walk, though, because we are in WDW. That 3 miles is like a whole 'nother marathon!

Betsy - For got to thank you for the link. Hopefully, dh can find some help there.

Just an FYI -

If we are counting weeks as monday - sunday (with 2x credit for race miles), then my mileage for last week was 56.4 miles.

Hope this helps.

You people are working way too hard. I am quite concerned about you.

If I were you, I think I would take a whole week off. Just do nothing. You will be amazed how good it will feel.

:duck:

Hi Guys, this is the new kinder gentler Panda. To make up for all the horrid things I did to you I'm giving you a new player. Please welcome Erica, who's handle is "3DisneyKids".

Have a super day Walt's Weenies, I mean Warriors, sorry old habits die hard.

Love y'all

OK, if it's saturday - friday Feb 9-16, then my mileage was only 6 miles total.

Told you it wasn't much ...........................

But more to come in the future................... :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Let Mr. Cripple Panda come around & lay smack down here, eh????

Hi WWs! I've missed everyone (all WISHers inlcuded). Quick drive by to the team, then back to work and in between will hope to catch up on the team/weekly/rest of the board.

I'm finally feeling more like myself after a fantastic round of antibiotics - went to the dr myself on Friday - to learn I too had the flu :scared1: and a sinus infection. and he wasn't sure what else, but was hoping rest and the medicine would help, and after some good R&R - it's all worked!

DD is also feeling much better, of course she was better by the time I felt like a bus hit me, and Jeff - well we put a call back into his dr b/c he's still not feeling human at all.

Carrie, the only thing I was able to get done last week was 30 minutes of ice shoveling.

Congrats to everyone for all that you accomplished last week!

Have a great day!

Jim - Been meaning to ask (for over a year), were you one of the bike medical squad in 07 that was helping with Judy?

Welcome Erika!!!!! I know who you are, you put in a shirt order. (That really helps me figure people out sometimes) Hope we can help motivate you too! Tell us a littl e about yourself if you have a chance.

Hi Team: My posts have been scant last week as my training was also scant. I'm going to try to do a little better this week. I did 20 min today on the exercise bike.

:welcome: Erika! Ignore WWDave. We are Walt's Warriors, strong and fierce to the end. Grr.

Welcome to Walt's Warriers Erika! We'd love to hear all about you when you get chance. I hope you'll love it here with us :lovestruc
