Tried both. I walk at about a 13-14 min avg and I live in the high desert with LOTS of hills. My typical walk goes from about 5000' to 6500'. And there are 232 Stairs on it. I just have a crazy, almost meno metabolism. I can gain 5 - 8 lbs literally overnight and weighed more by exactly 10 lbs when I came out of hospital after having 7-8 lb babies than when I went in. Go figure!
I'm one whose weight also goes up anddown but mostly up. I'll gain wright when i first start exercising. Then I lose inches mostly in my butts 1st, 2nd in my hips and 3rd in my breast. Last to go will be my 8 month old looking stomach

BTW- my shortsw were the problem the other day with rubbing. I had on P.J. short so its only stitched in the crocth(area) and not down the leg . I had a different pair and what a difference
