Just wanted to be a proud parent and tell you our little Enzo is finally starting to walk! He is 3yrs old and has been crusing furniture, walls and cabinets for over a year. He has a walker for long distances, but maybe not for long.

Our trip to SSR is not until October, so he should get a lot of practice between now and then. We'll still be using the stroller at the parks, but I am so excited that he'll be able to walk too.

That's wonderful..next he'll be running..and you'll be chasing!!:yay:

The next thing you know, you'll be saying "It was a whole lot easier before he could walk". I found myself saying that just yesterday about my twin niece and nephew. They were everywhere! Each going their own way and didn't want to ride in a cart. What fun!

Congratulations though on getting your little guy to walk! That is quite a accomplishment! Enjoy the fun to come.

Just wanted to say:

Yay Enzo!!!!!! :dance3:

My Lauren was just shy of 2.....nothing like seeing them progress!!!!!

Oh boy... you had your hands full x 2!!! I am sure you are right about saying it was easier before he could walk.... but, my back will be happier:rotfl:

Thanks Jeannie! It's usually the little things that he learns that I get so excited about... I guess because the big milestones seem to be far and few in between. The walking was so amazing, because we had waited so long! Since taking those steps he has gotten more clumsy... is this normal? He's got a big goose egg on the back of his head from falling yesterday. Hasn't slowed him down any!

:cool1: Congratulations!

Thanks!

Good for him -

My first thought was "You had better find a way to strap that walker to the stroller, cause no way he is going to let you leave it in the hotel room in Disney!"

It's funny you say that because his bus driver just helped me figure out a way to hang the walker on the back of his stroller. It's kind of eating up the soft grips on the handles, but at least I don't have to push and hold the walker at the same time.

I was worried that people at Disney wouldn't see him and bump into the walker, but someone reminded me that we'll be walking beside/behind him. I'm so excited!!

He's a boy! Once they start really moving and grooving, they will be black and blue and scraped up for many days to come. I know that's the way it is with my nephew. He is all banged up right now, and it's all because he just gets going and his feet can't keep up or he isn't paying attention to where he's going. It's all part of being a boy. Enjoy!

I would think it's normal....when they first start walking they're so excited and still a little off balance lol so happy for you
