Does disney use all ADR or is there a chance to get supper at Le cellar by just walking up? We will be at epcot in early jan. I have never had luck at sit down restraunats without reservations. Any input

I'd say you can try, but honestly, I wouldn't count on it.

People are probably trying to get in for dinner before dinner switches to 2 TS. I'm sure the dinner spots have been booked for awhile.

Did you try looking at the cancellation threads here on the Dis? Might be worth a try.

You might have a chance at most other restaurants....LeCellier, less than a 1% chance of being seated without an adr.
Especially with free dining going on, then add LC switching to 2 dinner credits in March.
That place is always booked and packed, but with the above happening....you are better off not even thinking about it.

Walking up is always hard to do anymore. The restaurants are so busy it is becoming less and less for anyone to do able to do this, so don't count on it.

Of course as others always say, you can try, but I would have me adrs somewhere else to cover you.

We've done it twice. Go when they first start serving/seating for dinner and ask. They get backed up during the later seatings but we've had success both times we have tried it (in January).

January 1st or 2nd....not a chance. The week around MLK...no way! But the rest of the month is slower than normal and I say give it a chance. Can't hurt to try. Good Luck! Program 1 (407) wdw-dine into your phone and give it a try on the days you want to eat there.

At all the restaurants we ate at this last week I saw people being turned away, but it was later on in the evening in all cases - I would also say try first thing and you might get lucky! If not, I would just call the dining line and see what is available that evening and go from there, my brother and I did it that way in 2008 and we always found something good in the end!

I say it can't hurt to try, but I'd be ready to hop over and get some fish and chips in England if you can't get in. :)

we've been in January several times and there are many, many very empty restaurants. It really will depend when exactly in January are you going...as others have said, around Jan 1 holiday or MLK Jr weekend I'd say no chance to get a walk-up at Le Cellier. Another bad chance would be on the 1/2Marathon weekend...I know the hotels are very booked-up so would assume a lot of restaurants will be busy too. But if you're looking at mid-week, not during a holiday period in January, you may get in especially right when they open.

This past year on Jan 3rd, a Monday, we had a ressie for I don't know, like 2:30 or something close to that. But, through a few mishaps were like a half hour late and they wouldn't let us in as walk in either, said they had nothing. We called the dining line and they said there was only the Biergarten and we didn't want that. We asked about the Coral Reef and they said there was nothing on the phone but we decided to walk up and they were great! They said of course we can get you a table! And we had one of our favorite meals of the trip! But, this time we have ressies for Le Cellier again and will try to go to both while we are down there, still trying to get a ressie for CR, a bit late on that, lol.

I was in Disney last March, for Princess Marathon weekend, when it was very crowded.

I walked up to the LeCellier podium at 3:50 and thew were very acommodating.
We were one of the first parties seated.

I believe all restaurants hold a table or 2 for walk-ups. You just have to time it perfectly.
