Waitlisted for all resorts

I called today to try to book 2 nights (Nov 1st and 2nd). I know it's last minute - but there were no studios available anywhere!! So I am currently waitlisted for ALL DVC resorts. Is there some reason the place is booked up these nights? Is hoping for a waitlist too optimistic? The 31 day mark is next friday so I was thinking some people might cancel... anyone had any luck in this situation?

Might be tough to get since there are probably many others ahead of you on the waitlists.

Oh, ewwwww, that explains it. I might book a room only on cash as a backup since I can cancel that til like 5 days before. I thought maybe with just 2 days and ANY resort it might give me a shot

I was able to call yesterday and get October 31st in a studio for SSR--adding one night to the beginning of my vacation since Delta changed my flight.

hrm I didn't ask which day is the problem. Maybe sunday since it's lower points
