wait, what? it's another trip to disney! Sept 2014 FINAL UPDATE 1-28

Oh no!! A missed flight?!! I would have had the same reaction at first- as my DH jokes around with me 80 percent of the time! It looks like you and the girls still enjoyed the day.

You sound like me about the fruit and milk while at Disney! It's so hard to eat halfway decent in Disney and I'm always trying to sneak in something extra for my boys.

Cute Halloween costumes!

Ugh how frustrating that he missed his flight, I'm sorry :(

Love the pics on the tea cups, so much joy!! And great character pics at the Sideshow! :)

oh no a missed flight..
I hope he makes it up to you!!!

Regardless your with the BEAUTIFUL girls and looks like your having a blast!!!
I agree the brew is really too sweet for me too. the kids drank some of it then tossed it for water. :thumbsup2 i am kicking myself i never got one of those DELICIOUS looking cinnamon buns!
Tea cups... is NOT my cup of tea... Can't do them! especially with my husband.

the M&G look like a lot of fun... I will say Daisy is one of the favorite M&G she is always so sweet and take her time with the kiddies!

doing great on your updates and cannot wait to read more!!! :woohoo:

Those costumes are the cutest!!!! Amazing job!!!

So sorry your DH missed his flight, that would make me angry but good for you for not being too upset and moving on with your day.

I keep reading about these cinnamon rolls and LeFou's Brew, I am going to have to put them on my "Must try" list.

The teacup pics are adorable! My kids' favorite ride in DL was the Teacups, we went many times.

Goofy and Hannah meeting photos=perfection. You can just see how incredibly happy she was. So sweet!

Love both costumes! Super cute!

He missed his flight? I can totally see Bob doing that and acting like it is no big deal!

I always love the teacups, not as much as you guys, but they are a must do for me every trip!

by the end of the day, I've usually given up on getting anything healthy in them....but I try to start out with something sort of good for them!

I was sure he was kidding when I got that text about his flight. only my husband....

thanks--I was glad they picked such fun costumes!

I love our pictures on the tea cups! we always have to ride more then once because one time I spend the ride taking video and pictures and one time I get to enjoy the spinning :rotfl:

the cinnamon roll is good, but SO sweet! you'll need some water with it for sure!

I know the tea cups really make some people sick. I hope that never happens to me--i'd be standing on the side crying and crying while my family rode!

we had a lot of fun meeting the characters there for the first time. we really loved goofy and Donald!

thanks--i'm glad they let me sew for them. it's so fun!

the cinnamon rolls and lefou's brew were good--I wouldn't get them together like we did though. SO sweet!

Hannah---she was so excited to see her favorite goofy! she just loves him so much and it's always so cute to see him get so excited when she tells him she loves him. it was a great meet!

I always love the teacups, not as much as you guys, but they are a must do for me every trip!

thanks! I had fun sewing them. Hannah already pretty much ruined her pants at trunk or treat last weekend. i'm going to try to wash them today for Halloween.....sigh....

I swear bob and rich must be related! :lmao: I don't think he was as worried about missing the flight as he was worried I was going to freak out on him!honestly, I was afraid it might happen. he just operates on his own time schedule in his own world.....

I don't know why we love those tea cups so much, but we really really do! I think I just like how they make us all laugh like crazy people!

well--you all are lucky this week, cuz....another update! i'm just so excited to post this update. we had the BEST MEETS EVER!!! and i'm so excited to share them with you!

when we last left off we were having a hot dog and some drinks while on our way to meet.....PETER PAN! maddie's absolute favorite character! i'm not sure why she likes him so much, but she really does. we met him last time and she's talked about meeting him again ever since. she's still bitter because she fell asleep and didn't get to meet him on her very first trip, so you can see, we could not miss this.

i had checked my sources (kenny the pirate, mostly) and thought he was still meeting where he had been--across from the rapunzel bathrooms. we got over there and found the standby line for his ride instead. i guess with all the construction going on, peter's meet had gotten moved. i checked the disney app on my phone and it said he was meeting at the adventureland verandah. now, if you're like me and have NO CLUE where the adventureland verandah is.....it's right next to the building where tinkerbell used to have her meets, by where you get dole whips. i also know it as "where we met jasmine and aladdin in january", but i realize that's probably not helpful to anyone else.

so anyway, we made it over about 30 minutes before his meet (i have it noted that it was 11:51 am--we did a lot already this morning. being there for rope drop is pretty awesome) and were the second family in line. i was surprised we weren't first, but i was glad to have some time to sit down in some shade for awhile! we ate the cookies from our brunch/big snack and when the sugar kicked in, we were a much happier group! as the line got longer, a little girl with her mom and grandma lined up behind us. she, hannah and maddie ended up playing i spy and goofing around for a little bit. it was nice to have someone else to pass the time with.

before we knew it, peter was out and meeting with the first family. they didn't take too long and when it was our turn, the photographer pointed out to peter to look at madison's shirt. he came right over and said "hey! that cupcake looks like me!" he wanted to know if maddie had brought him a cupcake to eat. she was too shy to talk and hannah stepped in with her "maddie's your biggest fan!" thing again. it was TOO funny!

peter took them over from the line and signed their pillowcases. he was asking maddie if she asked for a shirt with a cupcake that looked like him or if i had just made some and that's the shirt she got stuck with. again.....no answer from maddie. she was totally starstruck, although i think she did manage to tell him her name at some point. i told him that she wanted a peter pan shirt because he was her favorite. he was so excited to know that he was someone's favorite character!

we seriously have about 20 photopass pictures from this meet and they are all fantastic! peter spent so much time with us and the photographer was great! this was probably the best meet we've ever had! before we left, i asked if maddie could get one more picture of just her and peter. of course, they said yes. they took this ADORABLE picture.....

and when maddie walked away, peter noticed the tinkerbell clippie maddie had in her hair. he stopped her to look at it and told her "you have tinkerbell in your hair! don't keep her back there too long. she pulled wendy's hair you know!" it was just the cutest little ending to their meet and i loved it! i wanted to just start hugging everyone i was just so full of love for disney magic!!!

we did finally tear ourselves away and started walking over to town square. on the way, we passed some of the construction around the hub. on the walls are lots of show your disney side pictures. hannah found this donald one and we couldn't resist a picture, or two....

we were heading to the train station (again from kenny the pirate, whose site said this was the meeting spot) to meet someone else the girls were excited to see for the first time, mary poppins! as we neared the train station, i asked a CM if mary met at the train station and she said no, she met outside by the chapeau or the candy store. i have to say, i was sort of disappoined in kenny's info. it's usually right on (i just checked....peter's meet info is right now, but mary's is still incorrect), but it wasn't so helpful on our trip. we had some time to kill before her 1:15 pm meet, so again, we grabbed some pavement and people watched for awhile.

this was when i knew that we just aren't rope drop people. i guess if we could have gone back now for a nap, we would have been fine, but i had made an ADR and FPs for the afternoon and we couldn't leave. i guess we could be rope drop people if i planned it better, but this was a hard time of the day for us. it was hot, we were tired, we were hungry and we were running low on patience. we did the best we could with a little tiff between the girls shortly before mary came out.

we were waiting down by the chapeau and she was meeting closer to the corner by the candy store, so we didn't see her at first. there was a line when we did, so we were maybe the 9th family or so. the girls were loving watching her with all the other kids.

she was so totally mary! so soft spoken and mannerly and just perfect. when it was our turn the girls took their pillowcases up and mary signed them. she commented on their shirts, saying they reminded her of cakes that she would have with tea. maddie asked her where burt was and she said burt was out doing more chalk drawings because the rain the day before had "unfortunately smudged them". then hannah asked "can you really say supercalifragilisticexpealidocious backwards?" mary tilted her head, gave a little sigh and totally said it backwards perfectly, of course! hannah's mouth dropped open and her eyes got big as saucers. she looked at me and yelled "she said it! she said it! mary poppins really CAN say it BACKWARDS!" i had to bite my tongue to not bust out laughing! it was such a great moment!

i have to say.....these were the best meets ever!!!

it was now about 1:30 and we had a 1:50 ADR at tony's.

it was early, but we really didn't have enough time to do much else, it was super hot and i was ready for some AC. we went ahead and checked in and they said they'd get us in before our ADR if they could. it was pretty crowded in there so i didn't think we'd get in early, but i didn't really care. mostly i was just happy to be in the air conditioning!

i found a seat and the girls found a CM with bubbles. they played there the whole wait. in fact, i had to pull hannah away. she did not want to stop. in fact, after we ordered food, she tried to convince me that it would be ok for her to blow bubbles until our meal came!

i love this picture of maddie!

at right about our reservation time, they called us back. we had a great table and could see out the window to main street. it was very pretty in there! now, this was supposed to be our anniversary meal, but rich had texted me when we were seated and said he was just getting on the monorail at the airport. i knew he wouldn't be joining us, so this was my anniversary date instead....

our park bag and an otherwise empty chair! :rotfl2:

our food came out pretty quickly for as busy as they were. i didn't take a picture of the girls meals. they both had boring buttered noodles and chocolate milk. i got the margharita pizza. it was good, maybe too heavy for that day, but i did like it.

for dessert, the girls had chocolate cupcakes

and i had the tiramisu. so, so yummy!

as soon as we were finished, we paid with our dining credits and made our way out. we stopped to look at the fountain. isn't it so pretty with the fall decorations?

then we made our way out to find a spot on the curb for the 3 o'clock parade! we've never seen the new parade and i was pretty excited! the girls entertained themselves people watching and coloring on the menu maddie had brought from tonys. we didn't have to wait too long, before the parade started!!

:lovestruc :cloud9:

Oh this is my favorite post so far!!! HOW sweet are your meet and greets!!!!

even noticing the tink in her hair?!?! I mean COME ON this is too precious!!!!!!

waiting for more... ::yes::

LOVE Tony's!!! I am SO sorry you have an empty chair for your Anniversary dinner.. I still hope he is going to make it up to you somehow here..

that is a great picture with the bubble eye!!!

The interaction with Peter Pan sounds amazing! The pictures are SO cute, you can tell Maddie is just so happy. Cute pics with Mary too! She has been meeting in the train station as well, so maybe she switches locations?

Sorry to hear you guys were getting tired, I'm sure lunch helped perk you guys up a little!

Woo hoo can't wait to hear about the parade!

What Fun character meets! Such a bummer your dh didn't make it in time for the anniversary meal.

Yeah I think Rope Drop only works well when you schedule mid day breaks. Especially with littles in tow.

Good to know about Kenny the Pirate. I am starting to put together my itineraries for my trip. I'll make note to verify and and double check info coming from him.

Yay Peter Pan! :cool1: Aww it's sweet that Maddie was starstruck :goodvibes I guess it happens to all of us around our favourite characters! Those pictures are so cute, I bet he loved her shirt :goodvibes I still haven't met him yet! He's definitely on my list though.

Awww bless you for being on your anniversary date with your park bag :rotfl: I bet hubby was with you in spirit! I'm sure he was thinking that he'd rather be at MK with you all than stuck at airports :goodvibes

Excited for your parade update! princess:

:lovestruc Oh my- those pics with Peter Pan are the sweetest EVER!

I LOVE it! So much magic!!! pixiedust:

All my trips to Disney and I still have never eaten at Tony's. Might be one of the few restaurants I have not tried that I would like to- Maybe someday if I get back on the dining plan I will give it a go!

I love, love the pics of the meet with Peter Pan!!
I love pictures that aren't posed, when everyone looks genuinely happy. You look so happy looking at your girls and the one of her hugging Peter is to die for sweet! Only Disney can create that magic and happiness!

You are a better woman than I! I would have for sure killed Derek! Well... maybe I shouldn't say that yet. He has yet to meet up with you, so I guess there's still a chance for a homicide at Disney... ;) Ha ha!

What a fabulous morning!! I love your meet and greets! The girls really do look like they're having a fabulous time! I love how Maddie was tongue-tied around Peter. Both of my girls instantly turn so shy as soon as they're up with their beloved characters. That's about the only time in their lives that they're speechless!

And I know if we didn't throw in a few napping hours in our day, I don't think we would be rope drop fans either. We need those few hours, especially when it's super hot outside!

Love love love the Peter Pan photos! Your girls are so cute and I adore Hannah speaking up for little Maddie; I was my sis's voice for a long time too!

We are a group of grown ups and we like a good afternoon nap too!

Lunch looked yummy, even if the invisible man was your date!

I am so excited for the new parade! I hope you gals enjoyed it!

Still no Rich? I sure hope you were able to spend some of your big day together!

Love the meet and greets! Peter was just too cute with your girls! Rope drop most defiantly requires a nap with my crew...we love our sleep!:lmao: even in Disney!

Great updates!

Your photos with Peter Pan were awesome. I can't wait to meet him on this next trip. Mary Poppins sounds like a lot of fun as well! :)
