wait, what? it's another trip to disney! Sept 2014 FINAL UPDATE 1-28

Awesome parade photos!!

The girls certainly do look so happy with their new hats!

Great pics with Tiana and Naveen, glad you all finally got to meet them!!

Congrats on booking a cruise, very exciting!!

Oolala! Festival of Fantasy looks SO good! When Disney first released the float ideas I was hooked. I can't wait to see the parade, and I don't think I've watched an afternoon parade at WDW since I was maybe 13.

This is the second time I've read that Tiana was a great M&G. I've actually not seen Princess and the Frog (terrible, I know :() but I might have to schedule some time to meet them!

Where is DH?! He better show up quick; he's missing some good vacationing!

The parade pics are awesome!!!

And your kids are too cute for words in those hats. I'm sure they were non-lice hats all around. There's no lice in Disney- that's not magical! Hahahaha!!! princess:

My kids and I love Small World- it's my hubby that hates it with a vengeance. He will ride it ONCE in any given trip- complaining the entire time- and then sits all subsequent trips out.

Those pics with Tiana and Navreen... aww.. so cute!

You guys are having such a great trip so far! And Rich hasn't even joined you yet!! :)

What great pictures!!! ans YES i would have bought the hats too!!! the girls just look ADORABLE in them!

WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO a cruise?!??! have you ever taken one?

Great pics of the parade! I really cant wait to see it in person!

OMG- a Disney Cruise?? How exciting.. I have been searching cruises here lately too and would love to go on one.. Do you have to have a passport? I really want to do a cruise but know if we have to all purchase passports- it is going to add even more $.

Yay you booked your cruise!:banana::banana: So excited for you!

Your girls are so cute and their new hats are totally perfect...worth every penny!:thumbsup2

That parade does look pretty awesome!

Love the Tiana and Naveen meet and greet. Very cute and I am so happy you finally got the chance to meet them.

I love its a small world, its just a classic. I even like the song. A trip to WDW would not be the same without that cruise!:lmao:

i'm so excited about the cruise! i'm going to need all the tips I can get, if you've found any. you know I have a sewing ideas list started! we're going with friends who have boys, so I get to try something besides just dresses and have already warned the husbands to be prepared for matching shirts. they are less then excited.... :lmao:

Glad you enjoyed the parade - I like your pictures, they feel like they are from a lower perspective than other pictures I have seen, like that

Based on others as well it seems like the non-character performers definitely interact with the crowd more with this parade than others - but can definitely see being a bit thrown off if you are not expecting it!

You are definitely not the only Disney Sucker ... though I prefer to think of it as "sniffing the pixie dust" ;)

Love the Tiana and Naveen M&G! They are so great and seem to have a knack for getting kids to talk

and Yeah for booking for your first Disney cruise! Totally want to do that some day - figure wait until all the kids are old enough for the kids club so we can get a break from them :lmao:

yep, we sat with our feet in the gutter and our faces right in the floats! :rotfl: I just loved it! I have to say though that I just read an update on another TR and they watched the parade from the train station. it was awesome to see her pictures from right at the level of the float tops. i'm keeping that in mind for another trip!

sniffing the pixie dust!!! love it!!

i'm so excited about the cruise--we watched a Disney cruise line thing on Netflix and the girls are way excited to go to the kids club. our oldest keeps informing me that no grown ups are allowed there. listen, kid, you don't have to tell me twice! i'm all over that!

Congrats on booking a cruise, very exciting!!

I just loved that parade and we usually skip them to take advantage of shorter ride lines. it was pretty amazing!

Woo Hoo! A cruise! That is exciting! We would love to do that.

I've been wanting to try a cruise for awhile, so why not start with a Disney one, right? ::yes::

Oolala! Festival of Fantasy looks SO good! When Disney first released the float ideas I was hooked. I can't wait to see the parade, and I don't think I've watched an afternoon parade at WDW since I was maybe 13.

you will LOVE the parade! it's just so different from what I always think the parades will be and so much fun!

you've never seen princess and the frog?!!? what? go watch it right now! ray and Louis are my FAVORITES!

Oh and WOO HOO on the cruise booking!!!!

:banana::woohoo::yay::dance3::cool1:

yes, we never found any lice on any heads, so we were lucky, thank goodness!

i'm with your DH--one trip around the world on IASW is enough for me! I try not to complain, but I do know that I point out all the weird stuff and I love the so long, farewell, adios, goodbye room! :thumbsup2

i'm so excited about the cruise! i'm trying to decide if we should go down a day early and do a park, or maybe sea world, or just go and enjoy the cruise by itself. also trying to decide if I want to get off the boat at Nassau or stay on and enjoy a less crowded ship. guess i'll wait and see what the "adventures" are.

What great pictures!!! ans YES i would have bought the hats too!!! the girls just look ADORABLE in them!

WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO a cruise?!??! have you ever taken one?

so glad i'm not the only parent whose kids can sucker then into almost anything at Disney!

no, we've never done any cruise before, but I ADORE ocean and have wanted to do one for awhile. this seems like the perfect choice for everyone to be occupied and happy. I've heard about another one (the oasis of the seas, I think) that is supposed to be awesome. if we like cruising, maybe we'll try that one another time. have you cruised before? if you have any tips, i'd love to hear them!

Great pics of the parade! I really cant wait to see it in person!

OMG- a Disney Cruise?? How exciting.. I have been searching cruises here lately too and would love to go on one.. Do you have to have a passport? I really want to do a cruise but know if we have to all purchase passports- it is going to add even more $.

you will love the parade! I can recommend sitting on the curb--lots of character/dancer interactions and your face right in the action! we loved it!

I am SO excited for the cruise! we're going with friends who have a son Hannah's age and a daughter Madison's age and we all get along so great. I can't wait for all the fun and CASTAWAY CAY--that looks amaze-balls!!

i'm pretty sure you have to have passports. also, if you do any of the excursions at the ports and tips for your wait staff and stuff are all added things you have to remember. i'm saving for all that so hopefully we don't have any surprises (besides going crazy souvenir shopping or getting cocktails at the adult only pool! :rotfl: ).

Oh my I keep seeing all these photos of FOF parade and I CANNOT wait to see it in person, it looks incredible!

Those princess hats are ADORABLE!!!

IASW, one of my favorites since childhood. Love it!

Hooray for finally meeting Tiana and Naveen. Sounds like you had great interaction.

Oh my...a Disney cruise...I can't even imagine how exciting that must be. You will be on your first cruise the same month we will be in WDW for the first time. Cannot wait to join that PTR. I've never read a cruise PTR/TR. Congrats again on booking it!!!!!

somehow I skipped over your reply while I was multi-quoting things. clearly, I'm a bad multitasker!

Hi Lori! I fell off the face of the earth for a while, and I sadly expect it to happen again soon with my work situation, so I am determined to catch up on all my favorite reports (and maybe even find time to update my own ).

I hope everything is ok at work and not too crazy! and i'm so excited to know that this is one of your favorite TRs! or are you just here for shirt sightings? ;)

Yeesh, DH missing the flight and on your anniversary. Yikes. You did very well in how you handled that mess!

one of my favorite sayings is "it is what it is". that was sort of my philosophy that morning. that and "we're at Disney!!!" and, he took me out on a real, no kids date this last weekend!

Honestly, Lori, I can’t help but say it - it is such a total THRILL for me to be reading your report and just randomly see the little shirts that I made right here in my own house on your beautiful girls at Disney. What an honor! Thank you SO MUCH for supporting my little etsy effort. It is so worth it to see these pics. I can’t even explain how it feels. Thank you!!!

Oh, the weird carousel love! I will totally let you know when/if the non-carousel age hits!

seriously, you should put people in your shirts at Disney on your etsy page. they look so awesome right in the middle of the magic! i'm going to have to go check it out again soon--Hannah just announced she needs a Donald cupcake the other day.

seriously--what is with the carousels? luckily, DH is more patient with riding on them over and over with the girls.

OMG - your lice comment cracked me UP! I thought I was the only person who had that thought. I always read all these TRs with trying on hats, and honestly, Willow will occasionally do it. And my first thought is always, “OMG - LICE!!!!” I feel a tiny bit less crazy right now. Thank you!

oh, you are not alone with your lice fear! I can think of at least 3 others who are the same way. glad I could help you feel less crazy--that's what i'm here for! :lmao:

Your teacup pics are AWESOME!!!!

how much do we love the tea cups?!!!? I think I feel the same way about them as the girls do about the carousel.

Oh, I’m so glad you did the meet-and-greet at Storybook Circus - when we were there in 2013, we just LOVED that new (well, at the time new) meet-and-greet. So glad all you girls enjoyed it too! The pics of Hannah with Goofy are so great!

she is seriously in love with goofy and he's always so fun!

Oh, Lori, the narrative and pics of the Peter Pan meet - LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!!!!

I can't say enough great things about that peter meet--it was an awesome Disney memory!

Mary! Always one of our favorite meets! Love the pics!!! Not to sound too self-centered, but Mary Poppins commented on my shirts!!!! OMG - that makes my day!!!! And what an amazing Mary she was! LOVE it!!!

mary poppins loved your shirts!! more endorsements for your shop!

I was excited to read about Tony’s. We have never eaten there. LOVE both pictures of the girls with bubbles! Hey, your anniversary date looks a LOT like all my dates! Seriously though - I’m really sorry that Rich wasn’t there for your anniversary meal. :(

Loved seeing your pics of the new parade!

I’m with you on iasw - I don’t HATE it and it doesn’t freak me out, but I would not be sad to skip it. Interestingly, Willow has never liked it. She finds it boring and confusing. From her first ride experience, she was always looking for bigger and faster. Boats with dolls just don’t do it for her.

you are so lucky! the girls throw a fit whenever we pass it and don't stop....

Love the Tiana and Naveen pics. We have never had anything but great meets with Tiana. She is one of the most underrated princesses ever. And I don’t say that just because she is one of my faves. ;)

the tiana meet was so great! I don't know why she doesn't get more attention. her movie is awesome and they were a super meet! everyone in line around us (except one mom) had met them before and couldn't say enough good things about it. the mom in front of us was hilarious to watch when she met Naveen--it was Disney boyfriend love!

Yay for a DCL cruise! You know I approve of that!!!!! :woohoo:

I am SO EXCITED for the cruise! you know i'll have to reread through your stuff for tips! I can't wait!

you will love that parade! we haven't watched a parade for awhile because we never really enjoyed them and wanted to do rides during that time. I have to say, this was worth missing a ride for! we sat right on the curb and loved it, but I did just read a TR where they watched it from the train station on main street. the tops of the floats were right at eye level. it was a pretty cool and different view of it! just something to keep in mind.

we loved the tiana meet! they were great!

we've never cruised before, so are super excited to try it out. i'm nervous, but looking forward to, all the new things to learn and tips to read! how awesome that we'll both be having a Disney first with lots of pixie dusted magic at the same time!

Very happy to hear that FOF parade is worth skipping a ride for. Ooh...thanks for the tip on watching it from the train station!

I'm sure you'll enjoy learning all the new things for a cruise. I love learning new things Disney related especially trips.
Yep both "Disney firsts with lots of pixie dusted magic" for sure, hurry up September ;)

Well I just fail. I missed some updates!

I am SO glad you said you didn't like the parade costumes!! People keep talking about how beautiful it is and I kept thinking "but it's so ugly!!" but you're right...it's the stupid parade walker costumes that are bizare and ugly. The actual floats ARE beautiful.
I loved the Celebrate a Dream Come True parade and those costumes...I wish these were nicer and not weird. But oh well...now that I realized that's my issue with it I can just enjoy the floats and ignore the ugly weird costumes.

Yep! I would have bought those cute faces some hats too!!

And that Tiana is the best...she's super cute!

yeah, the parade costumes are different, for sure. I liked the bubble ones by Ariel's float just because they were colorful and fun. The ones that look like the big top though--not working for me. And those giant creepy guys were......creepy! But, even with that, the parade is so fun! You'll love it and it really does all work together for an awesome experience.

Yay for Tiana and Naveen M&G! The Photopass pics from it are steller!

And That Princess Mickey ears hat is quite tempting for sure it looks quite cute on her.

thanks! we got a lot of good pictures for sure!

why do they look so darn cute with those hats on? they know i can't resist the cuteness!

will daddy ever join us? YES! while we were in line for tiana, i had gotten a text from rich that he was actually, finally in magic kingdom!!! we were pretty excited, to say the least!

these are some of the pictures that he took on his way in....

we met up by the carousel, and after lots of squealing (from the girls, not me, i swear....what? ) and some hugs all around, they conviced daddy to take them on the carousel again....twice. when they were done, it was time for our very first fastpass of the day---7 dwarfs! we were so excited to finally get to try this! i'd been checking the wait times to see if we could do it standby, but the wait was always at least 50 minutes. we zipped through the line and only waited a couple minutes before we were on! i got a few pictures, but they aren't the best.

i like our photopass pictures! i have to say, the new ride picture stuff is sort of weird to me. you don't have to scan a band or anything. you just ride and walk out and when you get home, your pictures and videos are right there on your memory maker. it sort of freaks me out! anyway.....

i don't know how hannah knew where to look, but i love that she's looking right at the camera in this one!

and her face in this picture!

so, i don't know if this will work or not, but here's our video from the ride. let me know if you can't see it

after our ride through the mines, we needed somthing to eat. so we walked over to pinocchio village haus and got some food. i didn't take any pictures of food, but i did take this. the girls wanted to go on it's a small world with daddy (mommy had reached her limit) but we told madison that she had to eat dinner first. she thought she could get out of eating with her cute pouty face....

cute, but we weren't buying it. she ate, they rode it's a small world, life is good!

it had started to sprinkle/rain/sprinkle off and on, so we went over to ride haunted mansion since it was close and didn't have much of a wait. we didn't get to play with much in the line because it was moving pretty quickly. i took this picture to try to get the bubbles, but it's not great.

we didn't have a lot of time, but i looked and looked for the bride's ring and never found it. im not positive i know where it is and it was so dark i couldn't see anyway. another reason to go back! we had a fun ride and the girls seemed to like it more this time. maddie wasn't as scared anyway.

after haunted mansion, we cut through to adventureland and got in line for the tiki room. line? we were the first ones there and only about 10 other people came before it started. i didn't used to like this. i thought it was pretty dated and boring, but for some reason it's really grown on me and i like it a lot now. maddie took a selfie while we waited.

maddie liked the singing tikis best and hannah liked when the smoke came out. it was a hit with us all!

when we came out, there was no line for the magic carpets, so we decided to do that too!

we had another fastpass to use so we had to hustle over towards the castle.

our next fastpass was for enchanted tales with belle. i made the mistake of trying to go through the hub. it was almost time for the fireworks and it was wall to wall people! we got around most of the way and then a CM stopped us and wouldn't let us go any further. we had to walk down past the christmas shop, etc back to liberty square and come up past small world, but we made it!

there really wasn't a line and i sort of wanted to go through it to see all the cute stuff, but the girls wanted to scan their bands for the fastpass, so we went ahead and did that. we've never done this before and we really liked it. i LOVED when the mirror opened up--so amazing!

they handed out all the parts. maddie was a salt shaker. she was pretty tired by this time. i was surprised she agreed to be anything. hannah on the other hand.....she was picked to be the beast and was totally excited about it! i think she did a pretty great job! look at the jumping roar--she was into her part!

our last fastpass was coming up. it was for priority seating for main street electrical parade. on our way over we stopped and got mickey ice cream bars. it was dark....it was late....and it was still so hot and humid that they were melting like crazy. thank goodness we had some wipes in the bag! we watched most of the show on the castle and then they started letting people into the priority seating area. we sat down and got settled and then this happened.....

she totally passed out. we couldn't convince her to stay awake for anything. rich decided to just go ahead and leave with her. i guess it was a pretty miserable trip back. he had to carry her and then had to wait for 2 buses before he got onto one. he carried her off the bus and to the room. thank goodness it was so close! when he finally got in, he found this on the bed

but he didn't leave it too long. when we got back to the room later, they were both passed out under the covers.

Glad he FINALLY got there!! And a good thing he got the memo on the anniversary shirt. He probably knew he would be toast if he showed up wearing anything else!

Sounds like it was an enjoyable evening!!

So with the FP for enchanted tales with belle, what do you skip from the normal line?
