vwl....nov questons and availability

I have a few questions.......what do you think we'll have an easier time to get, 3 separate studios or a combo of 1 br and a studio? Our dates are nov 1st- nov 5th mon-fri. Also since we can call MS on April 2 for our night of Nov 1st, should we book one night of our vacation and then let the weekend while MS is closed pass by, and then try to book remaining 4 days first thing Mon am? Or is it better or easier to book the whole ressie in one call? Lastly, does anyone know what the best protocol is if when we do call and what we need isn't available....should we get ona waiting list, continue to call back everyday to check availability, day to day waiting list or whole trip waiting list?
As you can see....first timer going with family. Our closing just went through officially yesterday! Really need vwl since some non-dvc family will be staying there also.

You should not have to make but one call for your reservation at VWL for that time of year. Call 11 months from your check out date, you will not have a problem.. You should enjoy WDW that time of year and you will have the whole place to yourself. Have a good time.

All of DVC books quickly that first week of November because of Jersey week and the Food & Wine Fest. BWV and BCV first, because of proximity to Epcot, and then the others. VWL can be a challenge because it is not a very big resort. If it were me, I would make a reservation RIGHT NOW at whatever resort you closed on, just to be sure you have a room. Then I would book at the 7 month window, waitlisting whatever nights were not available. I realize you want to be at the same resort as relatives, but it would be far worse not to have a reservation at all!
