Agree, he's really young. I don't think he's 2 yet. Also, Tim goes to the park a lot by himself. Jenn stays with him quite a bit. Tim and Jenn seem pretty responsible. In their slight defense, he's probably too young for preschool, and he could possibly go to daycare but it might not be necessary. Plus, times are different with Covid. But hopefully they do get him in preschool and in some playgroups in the future. But there are definitely some horror stories out there with other vloggers and "influencers".
I also forgot to add in my other poster, but I find it very, very creepy and unsettling in their videos when a random fan stops and say hi to the baby. Like... it's weird that strangers on the internet know your kid's name, isn't it?
I think people way overthink vloggers. Does it matter if they were gifted something by a park or that they (God forbid) make money off their vlog? I just watch them because I enjoy seeing Disney when I can't be there. Makes me happy.
I agree. Their vlog is less about Disney and all about THEM. I really don't care what shoes or photoshoot they do with their kid. That's not why I watch. I stopped watching them and stick to Molly , Paging Mr.Morrow or DFBI no longer watch or support Tim Tracker and he use to be my FAV! I still want him to be because he's good at what he does but they have gotten away from Disney now for the most part and are nothing more than professional vacationers. I can't support that. Every week they are checking into new hotels and going on family vacations and while I'm happy they can do all that from people clicking/commenting on their YT videos, I just can't relate to them anymore and its such a turn off.
And on top of that I found out that Jen certainly ISN'T the sweet little gal I thought she was all these years. YEESH! She is so cute and sweet on their videos but on certain social media sites she's a completely different person who is extremely mouthy, rude, vocal, and obnoxious. I was honestly SHOCKED.
I dont think I could say it better. "Professional vacationers " was my favorite part because it's so true.I no longer watch or support Tim Tracker and he use to be my FAV! My kids (14 & 11) like Kyle Pallo but with all the drinking on the cruises I have been steering him away. We have been watching him a long time but he has all of a sudden blown up and just like other vloggers the channel changes.
He use to be in the disney college program and worked for Disney. The kids like his disney videos.I literally just watched one of his video series for the first time! He was on one of the first Royal Caribbean sailings and I was interested to see what the ships are like these days and his videos were the first to pop up. I honestly couldn't believe how much he drank! If I was him I would be dead from alcohol poisoning by noon. Hopefully he didn't actually finish all of those drinks (I mean, with the drink package I guess there is no problem with getting something new to try, taking a few sips, and ordering something else), but damn, it really was a lot. It was interesting to see what the ship was like but I don't think I'll continue watching his stuff, he doesn't seem to be my cup of tea (and honestly not a very informed or educated vlogger anyway).
I stopped watching them and stick to Molly , Paging Mr.Morrow or DFB
I'm always happy when someone works hard and makes their vision come true. And, I would LOVE to be a "professional vacationer"!
Yes! Those are my top ones too now. I have watched DFB for years. Just discovered Molly so still getting use to her. I kind of didnt like her at first but there is something charming about her that keeps me going back lol.
And Paging Mr. Morrow? OMG he's so cute! That's my next ex husband, I swear!
Thankfully there are a wide range of vloggers. We have found being selective about who we follow allows us to enjoy their shows.I find most Disney vlogs difficult to watch as I have usually have too many criticisms of their work (professionally and personally) to find it enjoyable. My criticisms are leveled at Michael Kay specifically as he's the one I'm most familiar with but all of them have been guilty of some of these once or twice.
Professional (I used to be a news videographer):
Don't tell me to look at something then keep your head in frame.
Learn to use manual focus; auto focus can't react fast enough when the camera is moving.
Rapid camera moves make your video hard to follow.
Learn to white balance, and redo it often, especially at dusk
Use a voice-over in post as opposed to talking over ambient audio.
Remember that you're the story teller, the host, the narrator; You're not the star. Step aside and let the star (Disney World in this case) do it's job.
Personal:
Stop censoring constructive criticism.
Stop hogging limited resources (Boarding Groups, ADRs, Park Passes, Fast Passes), though Disney should be doing something about this too.
Stop talking during rides and shows, use voice overs in post.
Stop filming in pool areas.
Have a plan for each video and follow it; 5 minutes of tight, well editing storytelling beats 15 minutes of disjointed wandering.
For the record though, the DIS crew is usually fairly professional (Galaxy's Edge stormtroopers not withstanding).
They have done daily vlogs for over a decade. It's pretty ridiculous to claim they didn't work hard. The Trackers really didn't work hard to be honest. They lucked into it being first on the scene and flooding the YouTube algorithm. If they had to start over right now they would be screwed.
I think Tim Tracker makes at least 350k a year from youtube. There is a website where you can see what they make.
If you do a quick search in Google with their names, you can easily find a gossip site that has literally HUNDREDS of pages dedicated to bashing the Trackers. Horrible, horrible, truly mean stuff. Not only that, but people have outted their real last name, home address and one post actually threatened physical harm to the baby. (The moderators reported it to the police, thankfully)
I think Nate will be blowing by all of the other vloggers soon. He has higher views on his vlogs than many who have been doing it for much longer, like Adam the Woo. He's so genuine and positive and just fun to watch. He also never brags about it or talks about purchasing a new car or other pricey stuff like some of the others, including the Trackers and PCD, do. I really love seeing people like him succeed!
You understand they actually make a living off of it, right? It's their job basically. If you get enough followers and viewers on YouTube you make quite a bit of income from ad revenue.
