Villians Sinister Soirée

sooooo.....I just saw someone post on a different thread that they heard from a cm that second seating may get vip viewing at second parade instead of having everyone at the first....anyone hear this? or just another case of a confused cm?

I really hope this is not true. We're going to the 11:45 soirée and when I made the reservation, they said we'd have the 8:15 parade viewing. If we go to the 10:30 parade, my kids may fall asleep before the party. We need to be going on splash and space mts late at night to keep everyone awake. Sitting around waiting for a parade to start will slow everyone down too much.

Pat post #927 you said a real classy person was telling you how to spend your money. I assumed you were referring to me since you said something about classy to me in another post. I don't think you were complimenting me. I apologize for calling you a sucker (PT Barnum reference). I am just disgusted that everyone gives Disney such a free pass. They keep taking more and more away and up charge for it. They are charging close to double park admission for like 8 hrs and getting praise for doing it. I need to buy Disney stock. I am not trying to be insulting but they could sell ice to Eskimos. (Sorry if I offended any Eskimos as that was not my intention)

Actually I think a good majority of the people that have posted here, whether pro or con the soiree', have not given Disney a pass on what is being done for the MNSSHP. Losing princes, promising villains, then taking the villains that were promised away. IMHO a small number have given Disney a pass on everything.

No problem. I am also a Yankee fan and they don't deserve to even sniff the playoffs. Such a shame too in Jeter's finale.

Yup won't be making any playoffs this year..
They can't hit.. They need George back he straight then out LOL

A few days ago, when the maleficent and evil queen announcement disappeared from the parks blog, the overwhelming response to those who had concerns was to wait and see, that Disney would not take away headliner villains from the entire MNSSHP crowd and make them exclusive to another hard ticketed event.

I waited to withhold judgment. Disney did exactly what those of us who were concerned were afraid of. You may not think there is any cause for concern, and that's your right. With how Disney has acted with MNSSHP, they have shown that all things character related are subject to change at any time...not just in legal writing, but in practice. They have shown they have no problem taking away opportunities from the park goers as a whole to give something premium to a smaller set of guests, and that they will do so with little to no notice.

This direction they have chosen concerns me, and it is a valid concern. You may not agree with the concern, but that doesn't mean the concern itself is unwarranted or unfounded.

Since the Soiree was announced I have been concerned that Disney would start taking things away that previously were included and adding them for an extra cost. I have not had the chance to attend SWW but I would like to attend with my sons in the next year or two. If Disney decides to make some of the SW characters only available by paying extra then I would not be very happy. Not everyone can afford to pay a higher price nor should opportunities be taken away from park goers. If Disney feels that they need to offer something premium to a smaller set of guests then they should create something new and unique like they did with Harambe Nights this past summer. If Disney continues down the path of taking things away from guests then I think they will be losing a lot of return guests.

Just the MNSSHP & Soiree on 10/24

Oh and my birthday this Sat where I will spend it with my favorite dog Pluto who is very " real " to this 60 yr old kid and no one better try to tell me otherwise ;)

Have an awesome birthday! party::bday:

They don't like it but many are still spending the $99. That is the only thing that matters to Iger and company. I'm not trying to be negative but until more people start holding Disney to higher standard more will get taken away and you (not you specifically) will pay more to experience less. Sorry if I derailed this thread but I got some answers as to why it is worth it to some. Not something I would pay for but hey if everyone had the same motivations life would be pretty boring.

They need some youth and living in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area there isn't much help down on the farm.

Glad the PA & NY " boys" have found common ground with the NY Yankees now if we can only get them to shut up and get back to this thread :duck:

Now I guess I should start the customary thread where we bash one another back and forth about the value of glitter ;-) ROTFL

I'm glad the soirée was wonderful for many. I do wish I could go, but am excited about the party. We've only been during summer or Christmas, so I am pumped up about new decor and atmosphere!

Yankees love can either bring people together or tear them apart. I am glad solidarity has been found. After Jeter retires this year he and I will finally take our romance public.

:rotfl: There is a loooooong line ahead of you for that one. I took some awesome shots of him when they were here for a game during spring training yes right down here at WDW :thumbsup2

Our love affair began when I got his autograph during batting practice before a game at Fenway Park. It was 1996. He went on to win AL Rookie of the Year and the Yankees won the WS. Pretty sure it was all because he met me bwaaaahaaaahaaa

Did Disney charge more to watch that game?:duck: JK Don't crucify me

Did Disney charge more to watch that game?:duck:

Of course it was a seperate charge, some games DID cost more and the Yankees cost more than the Mets games....let's not even go there... AND there was a ticket within a ticket up charge. You paid extra to go on the field and meet the players, take pictures, get autographs :faint: I knew nothing about that until game day. I would have paid extra

I am in MY 9th inning so I will say Goodnight all talk to you tomorrow
