Hello,
I have sent out some personal invites for this. But I'm so afraid I'm going to hurt someone feelings because of my rotten memory. So I thought I'd post this for anyone else I may have forgotten who'd like to be a part of this.
Thanks and blessings,
Winnie
Dear friends,
The week of the November pin cruise, Fred will have 20 years of Military service. His anniversary date is November 14, 1983. He is a veteran of Dessert Storm and his squadron is currently assisting our troops over seas for Operation Enduring Freedom. He serves in VR58 Fleet Logistics Support Squadron at NAS Jacksonville, Fla.
With 20 years he could retire, but he has decided to stay and take the Chief Petty Officers test in January. If he passes, he will serve another 3, and then retire with 24 years of service.
To commemorate this time, I have made arrangements for Fred to be "Veteran of the Day', on thursday November 20th, the day we return from the cruise. I wanted to arrange it so many of you could come and be a part of this special time with us. Fred will be in full service dress uniform.
It would mean alot to us if you would honor us with being there. Please let us know if you can be there. the ceremoney takes place at 5PM in Town Square at MK.
Sincerest thanks,
Winnie and Fred Crockrell
