The company my dh works for has started making people redundant, he hasnt been yet but hes only been there 7 months and others have been there for years. This couldnt have come at a worse time, we go to WDW in 3 weeks, if he does get made redundant then I dont know whether we could still go. :sad1: I really hope that Im worrying for nothing :confused3

Thats grim...fingers crossed that nothing bad happens.

Ive fortunately never been in such a position....in fact Im quite the opposite, Ive been applying for voluntary redundancy at my work, and been rejected for it twice now.

Good luck from me too - it must be terribly worrying.

Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you. Sending some :wizard: :grouphug: for you both.

everything crossed for you Jen, hopefully he'll be okay at least until after our disney trip (I know that sounds selfish but I know how much you're looking forward to it) It may be prudent to check out your insurance in the meantime to make sure it covers you.

Thinking of you, hope you make it,

thats not good news, i hope you get lucky and he doesn't get made redundent :)

Thankyou for all the pixie dust and nice messages, he still had a job when he came home, Im just praying business picks up where he works and they dont make anymore people redundant.

Fingers crossed for you Jen. It is so worrying when redundancy is a possibility!

Is it worth him keeping his eyes peeled for other job opportunities, as a safeguard?

Hope everything turns out okay Jen, keep us posted. If it's any comfort, the fact that DH has only been with the company 7 months shouldn't make any difference, companies shouldn't really use "last in first out" (or at least only as the absolute last resort) - they should look at the job roles which are redundant, not the employees in those roles.

Pixie dust for you and DH :wizard:

Fingers and toes crossed for your DH Jen.
Hope everything works out for you and that you still get your holiday. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Hope everything turns out ok Jen..fingers crossed :wizard::wizard:
