very stressed about first choice luggage

well, thank you so much, I called special needs and they've given us an extra 5kg for a couple of extra changes and his medication (large glass bottles)

what a relief!

Thats great news :) Now sit back and relax :) you and your husband will have the time of your lives :)

I always take way to much, so when we went to WDW I made a special effort to only take what was needed with the idea of buying more out there anyway!
So I didn't pack "evening" clothes (unless you have a smart dinner you won't need them) or high heels, in fact only one pair of spare trainers (one on my feet!) one pair of sandals and one pair of flip-flops. I ditched the oldest trainers (they got soaked beyond repair at Epcot :earseek: ) and the old sandals (nice new Birkies to replace them). I also took all my oldest undies, socks, and those T-shirts you keep "for around the house/garden" and chucked them after wearing. Also old towels for round the pool - chucked and replaced with Disney ones

But honestly, even with all the new stuff (including new school shoes for both boys) we were still well under our allowance.

Glad you got the extra allowance though. :goodvibes

chucking stuff is a good plan, the things dh is travelling in will certainly be chucked, too hot to wear out there in any case, I'm leaving a change of clothes (warm things) in our van at the airport hotel for him to wear on our drive home.

shampoo, toothpaste and so on I'll buy and use while we're there... his medication will be lighter on the return too as he'll have used two bottles of syrup.

I'm feeling so much better about this, I've got a few things ticked off my "to do" list and can now have a look at enjoying this trip, lol.

I only have two pairs of shoes, comfy (but weighty) boots which I'll wear over and a pair of light sandals. no high heels hgre, I trip up wearing them, lol, I'm not too ladylike!

Have a fabulous trip Binkyboots hope all goes well with your DH I do admire people who make the effort to go all that way when things aren't straightforward or easy, I guess the rest of us forget sometimes that not everyone has it easy, please post a trip report after your hols to let us know how you got on. :goodvibes

Agree with MazdaUK take older stuff as I find the American washing machines awful hard on your clothes. that way you can wash them through and bin them if need be. My son took a couple of new rugby tops and we never washed them incase they got ruined. we have family that live on the gulf coast and they were telling us it is the water. Nobody gets that dressed up anyway I feel everybody very casual and the tee-shirts over there are really cheap. you can pick a vesty type t-shirts in walmart for $5 or cheaper.

have a fab time and let us know how you get on :wave2:

My DH bought a fruit of the loom t-shirt for $3.75 + tax - wish he'd bought more, it washes really well! (Walmart have a huge rack in every colour and style - buy them, wear them out there and wash when you get home :goodvibes )

Also check the Walmart sales rack - e.g. Florida Gators t-shirt $5 :earseek:
