Vera Bradley lovers... help would be appreciated!

I want to give my mom a VB gift card for Mother's Day, but I can't find them on the website. Does anyone know if/how I can get one?

You might want to call the number on their web site and ask about that. I thought I read somewhere that their web site doesn't sell gift cards, but I don't know who does. Wish I could help, good luck.

Just found out today that there will be a new VB outlet at Woodbury Commons in Central Valley NY!!:cool1: That's only about an hour from me!!:cool1::cool1:

even better...my husband just told me that b/c we have both a home office and a clinic office, any "office supply" VB items purchased for the home office can be considered a business expense!!!:lmao: So file folders, desk organizers, calendars, paper clips, pens and pencils, lap top skins, lap top bags, etc...are part of the "office budget"!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

how's everyone doing? Have y'all seen the latest sales and such at VB online? Any new purchases?

miss my VB thread!! y'all are such a fun bunch!!! Happy Memorial Day weekend!!

Just wanted to share that the Vera Outlet opened last month in the Orlando Premium Outlets, just outside the DTD entrance to WDW. :cool1:

I visited it recently and they had some fantastic deals. Unfortunately, I was just window shopping, but I'm going back with my best friend later this week and spending some money.

As the thread started with descriptions of the bags, I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned the squared away bag. I bought one in January in Blue Lagoon and I LOVE IT! I plan on picking up another one in a darker style, but it fits my DSLR and all my stuff. In fact, most of the time, my camera just stays in the bag because there's so much room.

I'm anxiously awaiting the large duffel I won off of eBay in Boysenberry. The only thing I have in that pattern is a coin purse and there's some traveling in my near future-I won't miss that bag on the luggage carousel. ;)

It's on the Woodbury Commons website...AND I was there today and saw the Vera Bradley Outlet storefront!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1: The sign on the store front said "Opening Summer 2011" and that is sooner than the website said!! No official dates yet but I'm keeping an ear to the ground! That place will be mobbed from dawn to dusk. Today there was a LINE...like waiting in line at Disney line...to get into the Coach store. People actually got into these huge lines to wait to get into the Coach store and the Tory Burch store and I think Gucci. It was CRAZY. I can only imagine the hysteria when the VB outlet opens up!!!:scared1:;)

Oh, I am well-acquainted with the lines at the outlets!! The key is getting there early and NOT going the weekend it opens! My sister in law is going to flip! Thanks for letting me know!

I saw someone with a Squared Away in Watercolor and it looked really nice! I am wary of buying it, though, since my current needs seem to really be for a big open bag without a zipper. I carry my "Vera" bag a lot, with a smaller purse or wristlet inside of it. I keep trying to conjure up a need for the Squared Away, but just haven't gotten there yet!

You will love the large duffel! Enjoy your new stuff! :)

Jealous!! I wish I had an outlet within driving distance! That's fantastic that you can expense your VB office supplies :thumbsup2

I succumbed to the summer sale... I bought cosmetic cases and a hanging organizer. I've always liked the cosmetic cases, so I don't know if I will like the hanging organizer. It's definitely a different way of managing the stuff. Did you buy anything from the summer sale?

In a display of great restraint I only bought a second Little Betsy, this one in Blue Rhapsody which I love, and a matching coin purse. :thumbsup2

ETA: So much for my great restaint...While in town today I drove by a store that had a big sign out front "Vera Bradley 50% off". I didn't even know they carried VB! So I stopped in and wow did they have a lot! All discontinued patterns 50% off. So I bought a Betsy in Purple Punch. And a really cute little "Party Favor" coin purse in English Meadow for $4.00.

Oh yes...I succumbed as well...:lmao: I purchased a ton of office stuff, notepads, organizers, file folders, paper clips etc. I also felt it necessary to purchase a "Let's Do Lunch" in Viva La Vera...and a hanging organizer in Boysenberry...and I found a backpack in Sittin in a Tree for $20! (this was at Woodbury Commons at the Crabtree and Evelyn store!) There was a lady standing behind me the whole time I was looking through the bags. I wasn't aware she was there until my sister said to me "Umm, sissy...there is a lady standing WAY too close to you looking like she is going to jump you and grab that backpack out of your hand..." :scared1::rotfl2: Turns out she has an ebay store and sells this stuff for near retail price online. She actually said to me "You are lucky you got here first and there better be more backpacks..." I had to laugh. Vera bags are supposed to be fun, not deadly serious! My step daughter was thrilled with the backpack and said "Thanks for almost getting into a fight just to get this for me...":lmao: There was no almost fight but she got a kick out of the story! I'm sure all of 6th grade now knows the story of my near death experience just to get her a VB bag! :thumbsup2

LOVE the little Party Favor Coin purse!! I also have no restraint when it comes to VB. None. Ask my step daughter...*ahem* ;)

I think I got one of those little coin purses as a giveaway in the spring. Is it called the "Petite Pouch"? I keep my parking quarters in it, it's very cute.

I am glad you did not get into a serious brawl over the Sittin In A Tree backpack lol!

My VB Office supplies arrived today!! LOVE it all!! I also had to add to my order a Let's Go to Lunch bag in Viva La Vera and a mini zip wallet in Very Berry Paisley! I had no choice. Seriously. They were VERY on sale...and Let's Go to Lunch is fixin to be retired. My hands were tied. :confused3
;)

I now have a pretty little square cube full of pretty paper with a matching pen. I also have sticky notes and a notepad paper and a desk organizer...all in Carnaby. GREAT deal in the "outlet" section. I also have a birthday card organizer and file folders in Purple Punch...and paper clips. LOVING it all!!

I can't wait to buy some VB office supplies! I just started my first real job on Thursday and once I get a desk I'll be able to decorate it!

I did just buy the e-reader sleeve in Watercolor! I love it! It's so pretty! It's my favorite of the new patterns and hopefully they will release a smaller laptop sleeve soon (the ones they make are for 15" computers and are too big for my MacBook)... not that I really have to carry my laptop anymore for school, but anything will be better than the sleeve I have from Target that's made for PCs)

I have an e-reader sleeve in Boysenberry. LOVE IT!! All the office stuff is massively on sale right now, so it's a good time to stock up!! I love having Vera stuff on my desk! It's so cheerful. The other day I had be in court and I was dressed in my super serious and extremely intimidating (;)) grown up clothes and I was carrying an LV bag. It was a graduation present and I really do love it, but I couldn't help but notice that it was just so...blah...colored. It's appropriate for court and other "meetings" but it's not very fun. I kept thinking to myself that maybe I should add a Vera flair to it...but a colleague said that an LV bag would take exception to the perkiness of VB and there might be a fight if I tried to add VB accessories to my "stuck up" bag. :rotfl2:

Poor LV...she's not stuck up...she's just...prissy.
:snooty::laughing:

I know...I have issues. :thumbsup2

Hahaha I've been carrying my Pleated Tote in Calypso so it's darker and a little more subtle, but still Vera, to work. I also carried it all last semester to my internship/classes.

But I'm seriously considering re-doing my bedroom in the same color scheme as Watercolor. I'm obsessed with the pattern and the colors in it and since I moved back home to work and my room is very high school (bright pink...) it needs to be re-done. I'm thinking of doing grey walls with purple, green and blue accents.

Don't worry... I have issues, too!

I'm the opposite, in that I only have two bags that don't have zippers. (A Vera and a very old style that is about the same size as the hipster) There will be another squared away in my future. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the feedback on the duffel. Still waiting for it. We have two major trips this year and it will be really nice to wait at the airport and be able to spot our bags easily. We've got Mickey rolling luggage and then the duffel will hold my stuff.

I'm all about having zippers for my small purses, but I love for my big totes to be wide open at the top. I thought I would love the Pleated Tote, but it doesn't work that well for me because the opening is narrow compared to the rest of the bag. For me, it's too big for an everyday purse, but too small for my needs as a tote.

You aren't checking the duffel, are you? I think it would get eaten up by the luggage carousel etc. I've never flown with mine, just used it for car trips so far. I have heard it fits easily in the overhead compartments on the planes, though. So jealous of your Mickey rolling luggage! I've seen some pieces at TJ Maxx and it's so cute.

Okay, the Lisa B and Morgan are $17.99 today!!!

I want one or both or or or or... anyone have these??
