I just got the mini hipster and i'm in love with it. It's the perfect size for me. I love it for everyday use, and even more so for day trips.
We just went to the Rennaissance Festival and this was all I needed. It fit my camera, our tickets, a bag of peanuts, my ID, my debit, and our cash with a bit of room left.
I will say this, though...there are little slots on the inside that appear to be for pens, etc...but they aren't actually deep enough for a pen. I use one for a chapstick, one for a tube of medicine and a bandaid, and the other two I don't really use.
The main inside pocket, as long as you put things in the right way, fits a bit. You just have to decide what you actually need. I've had as much as a small notebook, pen, camera and my cell in at once, but it was a little puffy.
There is an ID section under the flap, and it can fit more than one card behind it, so that's where I put my licence, miltary ID, and debit car.
The front flap itself has a zipper pocket that is pretty roomy.
There is also an open pouch on the back, useful for taller things or something you want to access quickly.
I use to carry around a larger purse with a ton of stuff in it all the time...since getting this bag i've realized how much of it was not needed. Yes, it is small. But, it's practical, light weight, and comfy to wear. I hardly even notice i'm wearing it no matter what's in it. This is my favorite bag i've ever had. I love how versatile it is. No holding it, no sliding off my shoulder when I bend. It's wonderful!
This is me wearing it at the Ren Fest last month. For a more accurate size reference, I am 5'0'' and 90 pounds...so small, to say the least. I did have to tie the strap a bit, but not much, for it to hit right at my hip.:
