No, we aren't going to
Legoland this time. Try to ask around about bringing in food, because that may be your best bet there.
Still here, and things are looking a little better. I still haven't even tried any of the Mexican places. Bengal Barbecue, or Lucky Fortune, all of which likely have easily vegan foods, as we just haven't been around those places while hungry. I hope to get to those places befoe we leave, though I'm not even sure we will.
We did go to Whitewater Snacks at GCH and that has been a success for a few reasons. 1) They have a vegan veggie burger. The bun is NOT vegan, but the patty is (and it is great!). You can get it with fries that may or may not be vegan (the lady didn't seem to think they were) or fruit. 2) They have bread, bagels, and jars of peanut butter and jelly. Groceries! So I probably spent $10-$15 on bread, pb, and j, but that will make something like 10 sandwiches that I can actually eat (and my kids will eat a few as well) so that saves me a lot of hassle of having to ask. Now to figure out how to bring a sandwich into the parks (I don't really have a good container).
Also, at Tangaroa Terrace (at DLH) I was told they will customize anything if possible to make it vegan. I haven't taken them up on that, as I bought the fruit platter (huge, awesome, fresh fruit plate in a to go container), but I'll report back if we go back and try it. We are going to Minnie's breakfast at the Plaza Inn tomorrow, so I'll report back after trying that.
I'm glad we are here so many days, as it has taken me a while to warm up to asking and being slightly assertive/direct about my diet. I'm used to dealing with food allergies at WDW, where they seem to have it down to a science and have a set of alternatives ready for you to choose from. I was really thrown off at PPH where the chef suggested vegetables for breakfast, as at WDW my daughter, who had food allergies, was offered egg-free dairy-free Mickey waffles, pancakes, noodles, ice cream, brownies, cake, etc.
