VB-Inn or Villas??

We are considering adding a few days during our trip this fall at VB. Which section-the inn or villas- will give us the better view? Of course we would love a view of the ocean, so that is what we are going for. I think I remember reading at some point that the view was better from the inn. Since I can't search, I figure I would just ask! Where am I more likely to get my oceanview?

I am kind of hoping it is the villas, as I would prefer a 1 or maybe a 2 bedroom, but I would sacrifice the amenities of the villas to have a great view :)

Any help with this is appreciated! Thank you!

If you book a Deluxe Ocean View room in the Inn, then you get an ocean view. I don't think they can guarantee that in the villas.

We always stay in the Inn, but that is just what we prefer. We love sitting on our balcony looking at the ocean and just running downstairs to the gift shop or down the hall to the Green Cabin room.

How many people are you traveling with?

We have been there in the Fall a few times and it is a great time to go.

There will be 4 of us :) We MAY have a 5th and in that case we will get either 2 rooms or the 2 bedroom. Thanks for your quick reply!

When we were there in October one of the CM's said that a couple of the ocean view inn rooms had 2 queen beds plus a pull out couch-that would sleep 6.

They were on the corners of the building on the 3rd and 4th floor.

You don't get the kitchen and washer and dryer in the inn but that has never really been an issue for us because we love to eat at Shutters and Sonyas.

Do you know if these sleep 6 rooms are booked differently, or are they the luck of the draw?

I think they are the luck of the draw. You may want to post a thread and ask anybody if they stayed in one of these rooms.
You could then request that room even though it wouldn't be guaranteed.

Please be careful if you book the Inn. We had a wonderful view of the ocean EXCEPT that our studio was one of those with a solid wooden wall for the balcony. If I wanted to see the ocean I had to stand. So my advice is to request a room that has railings on the balcony.

We always stay in 2216-it happens to have a solid balcony. It is on the corner of the building, so we can see the ocean and the pool(which is kind of nice if DH or I are down there with the kids alone, we can look up and wave at the other spouse). We spent a lot of time leaning on the balcony looking down at the pool, ocean, etc. and never really thought about being able to see it when we sat down. It was kind of nice not for anyone to be able to see us on the balcony when we sat down-you can do anything you want  We often put all of our swimsuits out there to dry on the chairs and we couldn't have done this on a regular balcony.

We did say how nice it would be to just sit on our balcony and look at the ocean at night but we thought it was an even trade to be able to see the pool.

I have seen posts from people who said they didn't like the balconies on the 4th floor because some of them had a sloping ceiling. I don't know how significant this is.

Anyway, If you book an ocean view room, you will get an ocean view. It sounds like that is your number one concern. I don't think you'll be upset with any room you get. VB is a great place.

Thanks again! Your replies have been helpful :)

Does anyone know what percentage of the villas have an ocean view?
