"Official" 2025 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

We're planning to attend during Halloween week, though likely not on Halloween itself. My son's birthday is that week (he's turning 2) and my mother and his two godmothers (my sister and one of my best friends) are going as well.

He thankfully has no issues sleeping in strollers, so I think he'll likely be able to stay the full time, but we booked at the Contemporary to make it easier in case he (or his grandmother, lol) can't hang past 10. We also built in a no-parks rest day for the day after the party so everyone can recover.

My friend and I haven't done the Halloween party since 2015, and my mother and sister have never done it, so I'm very excited to experience it with them.

For those who have been more recently - just how picked over is the merch by the last week of parties, both regular and AP?

I would probably buy stuff online beforehand if you can if it's something you really want. Weirdly, you'll get the first pick of the holiday stuff though! 😂

We like the last few parties of October - spookier, more of a Halloween spirit in the air!

Yeah, I figured as much - they never seen to stock enough for demand, lol. Online shopping it'll be lol

I've suggested this many times - when you purchase your event ticket, allow people to pre-order exclusive items for pickup during event. If you dont attend event, your order is cancelled. If they have supply chain issues and items dont arrive, allow option for paying for shipping afterwards. It's pretty simple. Better than the bad feelings that are generated every year. All they do is feed into the mark up ebay frenzy and resellers. Regular attendees loose out.

I should know the answer to these questions, but it's been a while since I've attended a party...

1. What is open from 6:00-7:00? Any attractions?
2. Do the places with special Halloween treats also serve the regular menu during party hours? For example, last year the stand between Adventureland and Frontierland had spicy beignets, but could you also get the regular beignets?

Thanks in advance!

All the attractions that are open for the party will be open between 6-7. We did 2 party nights last year and rode Tianas both times just after 6pm.

There were places that had their regular menu during the party, including those that had party only treats. I know we ate at Casey's and Pecos Bill from the regular menu.

**Just an added note for those who use DAS- it is not available to book during that 6-7pm hour because none of the attractions will be posting a wait time. However, you can just go to the ride and show the CM you have a DAS tile on your app and they will direct you from there. Some may give an actual return time but we were just directed into the LL between 6-7. After 7pm, you use it as usual.

Just booked POR for 10/30-11/3 and planning on attending Halloween night, which also happens to be my birthday! Haven't been to a party since 2019, so to say I'm excited is a massive understatement. 🎃 👻 🦇

I can't decide if we want to do 10/30 or 10/31!!! My only reason for not picking Halloween itself is because it's a Friday and that may possibly be the only night Animal Kingdom will be open past 6. 😒

We're sailing on the Disney Treasure Sept. 13-20 (Halloween on the High Seas cruise) and flying into MCO Sept. 12. Just changed to an earlier flight so we can go to MNSSHP that Friday night before we get on the ship on Saturday. Very excited, as I was sad that this was the first year we weren't going to MNSSHP in ages. Now, we get the best of Halloween on land and at sea.

We’re on the Sept 27 Treasure, so same itinerary…and same plan to go to MNSSHP pre-cruise.
What do you think about the candy situation, though? DH wonders if they’ll let us lug it on board with us. We usually have a pretty good haul since we both like to hit the treat trails multiple times. He’s thinking it would be better to go to the party post-cruise since we don’t fly home until Monday.

Decisions, decisions…anyone know what the rules would be about bringing a knapsack or two of MNSSHP treats on the ship with us?

I'm getting off the Treasure on the 13th! I hope you have a great time (MNSSHP is one of my favorite events)

We'll be in Mickeyland in early September (12-18). We are staying on site at Beach Club. With all the times we've been there, we have never been to MNSSHP. So a couple of questions....
  1. Looking at 2024 dates, it seems that MNSSHP will have on a few nights while we are there. The question is....Is any one day better than another? If last years kind of dates hold, we'll have a Sunday, Tuesday or Friday to choose from. Friday will be out as that's the travel in date, and then we fly out the following Thursday.
  2. Do I read it correct that the hours are 7pm-12am? We have park hoppers for the week, so we can even get there early and maybe have a relaxing dinner before official MNSSHP festivities start.
  3. Looks like an early and a late parade. Are they different?
  4. Any special strategies for doing the park?
  5. Any MNSSHP events or rides to be sure to not miss ?
  6. Do I need to grab tickets the day they go on sale in May? Post 1 even suggest that maybe calling at 6am.
Thanks all for your help. I've been going through the 5 pages of this thread, and its helping.

1. I've been on different days, and I didn't see one as better/worse than the others

2. the official party hours are 7-12 (but people can get in at 4 with the party ticket)

3. both parades are exactly the same

You should have no issue bringing candy on board.

Per their website: https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/guest-services/prohibited-items/
  • Prohibited items:
  • Electrical appliances such as rice cookers, hot plates, coffee makers, blenders, bottle sterilizers and bottle warmers
  • Homemade, precooked or perishable foods or open food containers.
  • Ice chests or coolers, except as noted below

  • You are welcome to bring:
  • Breast milk, in carry-on luggage only
  • Coolers no larger than 12″ x 12″ x 12″ (30.5cm x 30.5cm x 30.5cm), as carry-on luggage only for storing medications, baby food or nonperishable items related to dietary restrictions only
  • Nonperishable snack foods in original factory-sealed packaging. All items must either be consumed prior to returning to your home port or remain unopened

We also like to trick or treat - a lot. So we're just planning on throwing all the candy in a big bag and taking it on the ship with us!

Historically all parties sell out so no difference between parties.
  1. Do I read it correct that the hours are 7pm-12am? We have park hoppers for the week, so we can even get there early and maybe have a relaxing dinner before official MNSSHP festivities start.
Party tickets allow entrance at 4PM but often they allow party guests to enter at 3:45.

If you are already in the park there are wristband distribution places you can visit inside the park.
  1. Looks like an early and a late parade. Are they different?
No difference in parade. Historically more people attend the first parade.
  1. Any MNSSHP events or rides to be sure to not miss ?
Party overlays normally happen at
- Teacups
- Speedway
- Space Mountain
  1. Do I need to grab tickets the day they go on sale in May? Post 1 even suggest that maybe calling at 6am.
No, tickets do not normally sell out the first day but for guests planning to attend Oct 31st I’d recommend purchasing as soon as possible.

Most parties sell out so crowds should be about same whichever night you go.

We brought our MNSSHP haul on the Wish with us last year...and then added to it when they did a Trick or Treat trail on the ship!

Spaceship Earth? Do you mean Space Mountain?
