Value Resorts and Inside Staterooms? Bah Humbug! 30 days of Disney fun! 02/10 Day 30

Yes 90mins is crazy to queue for a ride, but then there are crazy people out there :teeth:

Next year might not be as crazy, one would hope :)

I refuse to wait that long for a kiddie ride. I have to admit that we were in line for 120 minutes for Crush when it first opened. It was SO worth the wait. You HAVE to do Crush, even if the wait will be long!

But I can wait for the crowds to die down a bit for the Toystory rides, no hurry! YET!!!!!!!!!!

Wow......they get annual fun trips like that! A week long ski trip???? We get one-day ski trips.

There was a Stitch plush in the ToT costume???? It's really too bad they don't have it anymore....I would've loved to add that to my collection of Stitches.

That playland looks so well themed! I love the giant Buzz Lightyear.

It doesn't look like you had a very eventful morning :(

I'm back karin! So sorry for being MIA, the last few weeks have been crazy!

I read everything I missed, and loved all your updates! It was great to read about your students in Vienna and more about DLRP (You know I'll always love more pictures of that ;)) Can't wait to hear more asap!

Wow...the Toy Story rides look so cool. Max would love them! And we generally were able to avoid long lines last year, but for some reason, I did jump into a ridiculously long line for EE at AK last year. I think it was worth, my husband, probably not so much! :lmao:

Same here, I don't think I would wait 50mins for TSM even though it is an awesome ride. We are defo going to try and do everything, Crush's coaster for sure as its one ride we are both looking forward to (love Crush).

Might email you a TP and see what you think, that is of course if you don't mind :)

Yes, our pupils have a week long trip every year. Lots of one day things as well!

Yes, they used to sell a bellhop, cable eating Stitch at the ToT. I promised Dave one and when we went to pick it up they didn't sell them any more! :scared1:

It might not look like an eventful morning, but it was quite nice to just walk around and people watch. We seem to have outgrown the "I must ride everything a gazillion times" age! ;)

Hi! Welcome back!
I do understand about life getting in the way and especially if you were busy with school! :goodvibes

I hope to get a few more updates done this weekend! :thumbsup2

Yes, they looked pretty cool, just not worth the wait for two grown ups. We'll go back some day and get to ride it more easily. No waiting for such a long time for a fairground ride for me! :lmao:

Crush is definitely worth the wait - you might get lucky if you do it first thing in the morning and are there when they open.

Feel free to email me whenever you want. I will try and help as much as possible! :goodvibes

 Hello, Karin! We are back from our mini trip to WDW - absolutely fabulous!

As always, must go back and catch up (Can't wait to read the updates),but have lots of time today as my family is out in the mountains (overnight) celebrating the Holiday with my son-in-law's sisters and her family. Sophia will have loads of fun with her 2 older cousins (10 & 12).

p.s. I can hardly believe it, but Disney's Snow White is on this afternoon, followed by Beauty and the Beast!! I've never seen these are regular TV channels before. Will be weird with commercials, but I'll still enjoy two of my all time favorites. Mary Poppins was on earlier! Lots of other faves have been on this afternoon as well: Notting Hill, Love Actually, the 1947 Miracle on 47th Street, A Walton's Reunion. The TV Holiday Season has commenced!:goodvibes

Thanks for the look at DLRP. It's nice that you can get a Disney fix without crossing an ocean!

Wow, what a great education system!

That's too bad! That would've been the marriage of my two favourite things!!

Haha, I'm still definitely in that age. On my next trip, I have to beat my own record of 7 rides on ToT! And 3 rides in a row on EE :thumbsup2

:yay: You are all caught up again! Glad you enjoyed your trip to Mickey's home! :goodvibes

Wow! You got a lot of Disney stuff on TV! I can't believe all the fun movies you get to see - here NOT so much! Thank god for DVDs!!!

I hope to update here again very soon (like tonight! ;)), so I can move back to my trip report before I have to have my February pre-trippie to the Trip Report section! :lmao:
Lots of things to tell all of you about - we had a fun vacation in August and September!

Thanks for the look at DLRP. It's nice that you can get a Disney fix without crossing an ocean!

I'll gladly share some more of our DLRP adventures! We really enjoy our short visits there - so good to be able to just hop on two planes, with just about 4 hours travel time altogether and be in the middle of Disney fun! :goodvibes As much as I love the American Disney parks, the trip "across the pond" is long and expensive! ;)

Our education system is quite okay. The pupils get to actually experience a lot! :goodvibes

If only I had known a little earlier about the ToT Stitch! We were really shocked they don't sell him any more in the ToT gift shop! I had promised one to Dave and felt real bad!

Well Yuki, if I can ride something without a wait then I am all for it! ;) It's just the waiting part that we try to skip. We were able to ride EE 6 or 7 times in September - within an hour!!!!!!!!! Got off, walked round, got on again - to an extent that the CM who looked at our KTTW during EMH, just laughed and waved us through without even showing the cards! :lmao: Yes, we WILL ride it, just not wait in line for very long. Same goes for BTM - rode it several times in a row, even without having to get out of our row during September! :thumbsup2

Yes, no wait time is the best. I went on ToT so many times cause there was practically no line! The CM loading us onto the ride knew exactly where we wanted to sit, haha.

6 or 7 times in a row???? Karin, I'm going to beat that on my next trip :thumbsup2

Halloween Fun at Disneyland Resort Paris

Still Day 2, October 31

Happy Halloweeeeeeeeeeeen!!! - Part 2

Animagique celebrates the animated movies and has live characters and some puppets interact. It is Donald’s adventure and real fun. Once inside the theatre we were actually shocked at how full the theatre really was. But we found some good seats a little higher up and enjoyed the show.

IMG_8566.jpg

After the show we picked up a few gifts in the stores in Disney Studio 1 and decided to leave as the park started to fill up and we had a Halloween Party to go to in the evening. While we walked towards the Disney Village we decided to get our Disney shopping done in the Village before having a late lunch. But then we saw that the balloon was up and since the weather was beautiful we decided to ride the balloon. On the way there we stopped at Starbucks, to try their newest offer the Caramel Macciato.

IMG_8572.jpg

It looked really yummy on the advertisement, and it tasted very nice, but very sweet, but looked totally different.

IMG_8570.jpg

At least we had some time to relax and make a game plan for the rest of the day. Once we had finished our drinks we walked over to the balloon and saw it go up,

IMG_8574.jpg

paid for our tickets and secured a good spot to look out over the whole resort. It was a little windy and the balloon wobbled a bit going up, but was quite steady while at the top.

Tom and I got a lot of good photos and enjoyed the view, even though we were shocked at the progress of the new Earl of Sandwich restaurant – there was NONE!

In no time the balloon was on the way down again and once we had landed we headed towards the Hotel New York for a biological break.

IMG_8595.jpg

IMG_8596.jpg

Then it was off to the shops again.

IMG_8573.jpg

We picked up a few goodies

DSC_0257.jpg

and before we knew it we were in front of Planet Hollywood again and went up to try if we could get in for a late lunch. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server a little while later. Some of the servers were dressed up for Halloween and one girl in particular was dressed as a tombstone and got lots of attention from the diners. We both ordered a Diet Coke

IMG_8606.jpg

IMG_8607.jpg

and Tom got the Philly Steak and Cheese Sandwich - Shaved beef, sautèed onions & peppers and Swiss cheese served on a steak roll,

IMG_8609.jpg

while I wanted the Margarita Pizza, fresh tomatoes, basil and lots of cheese.

IMG_8610.jpg

When they brought out the food we noticed that they had made a mistake when taking our order, as they brought out a pepperoni pizza. I did not feel like it so I reminded the server that I had ordered the Margarita and she had to reorder. I think she apologized at least 10 times. My pizza came out about 10 minutes later and it was very nice. We did not feel like dessert, so we paid our bill and left and went back to the parking structure and picked up our car. We went back to our little villa and relaxed for a while as we had a long night ahead of us, as there was still the Halloween Party to attend.

Wow..you do trip reports too. I just finished reading your DLparis food report and the student trip. You are one lucky person to go on so many trips a year. Now, I'm off to ready your DLparis trip report. Thanks for sharing. I really like the Student trip report because my dd13 will be going on a class trip to Washington DC in February so, it was fun to see the photos of other kids like her. Very cool!

I have enjoyed your posts on other's reports and was very :yay: to see you had a report going. And a nice long one at that. Kiddos are watching a movie so I am going back to read :)

Thanks to your handy dandy links I am all caught up. Looks like a fun trip so far! OKW looks very relaxing. And I am also enjoying ur mini report about DL Paris.

Welcome! It's wonderful you found my trip report! :goodvibes
Thanks for reading both my dining review AND my trip report!

Yes, in retrospect I did travel in 2010! And the Vienna trip with my class was real fun especially since the teenagers we were travelling with were such good kids!

Wow! Your DD must be so excited to go to Washington DC! We have had three very short visits and I always loved it there! How long are they going to stay?

Hi! :goodvibes I know you from Kathy's report! And I definitely KNOW your kids from her report! ;)
Glad to have you here!

We really did have such a wonderful and fun trip in August/September! It was truely a magical trip!
We LOVE Old Key West! Disney does its best to "lure" you in. After we were upgraded from an APdiscount studio to a 1 bedroom, we are SO hooked and whenever we can afford it, we stay there - you can't beat the size of OKW's one bedroom units! :cloud9:
I am trying to update my DLRP trip this weekend, so I can finally go on with my summer trip report, before we leave for WDW in February again! :rotfl2:
I really hope you'll enjoy the rest of my report!

Halloween Fun at Disneyland Resort Paris

Still Day 2, October 31

Happy Halloweeeeeeeeeeeen!!! - Part 3

So by 7pm we drove back to the parking structure and hit a long line of cars trying to park at the Disney Village lot. We were lucky to get in and parked on the top floor as the structure seemed to fill very quickly.

DSC_0258.jpg

Once we had parked the car we took a few photos of the Studios and Tower of Terror, the Disneyland Hotel and the Disney Village.

DSC_0260.jpg

We then followed the crowds towards the entrance to the park. Right behind the turnstiles we were handed our wristbands and programmes and off we went. The park was packed, the party was sold out. To be honest this party is nothing like the party in Walt Disney World, it is more like the park being open longer, with a few fun Halloween spots. Tom and I walked up Main Street and since the lines were miles long for the rides we hopped onto the Mark Twain Riverboat, as this was a walk on.

DSC_0278.jpg

DSC_0282.jpg

DSC_0292.jpg

After a leisurely ride the Riverboat we took some photos of the Frontierland area. By then I felt that my wristband was on too tight and began to hurt. So we tried to find a place where we could have it replaced.

DSC_0298.jpg

Finally at the hub they had a wristband station set up and had the wristband cut off and a new one put on – very loosely this time, so I was afraid I would loose it! As there was lots of time before the parade we walked over to Discoveryland.

DSC_0302.jpg

DSC_0300.jpg

Lines were quite long for any of the rides, so we walked over to the train station and they had just closed it for the the non party guests. We were allowed in and the train even waited for us. We got on and rode the rest of the loop to Main Street and another full loop. It was fun seeing the park with all the lights on and the many people who wore costumes. At Main Street we got off and walked through the side passage towards the hub again

IMG_8631.jpg

and through the castle to Fantasyland. The Fast Pass machines at Peter Pan were open, so got a Fast Pass. We walked over to It’s A Small World and the line was rather short, so we got on.

IMG_8635.jpg

IMG_8637.jpg

IMG_8642.jpg

IMG_8643.jpg

Once we had finished our ride we walked through the stores back to the Pinocchio ride, which had a fairly short wait

IMG_8645.jpg

IMG_8647.jpg

and so did the SnowWhite ride.

IMG_8648.jpg

IMG_8651.jpg

Next we walked to Pirates and got in line, but we turned around as soon as we saw that people started lining up outside the ride. We strolled through Adventureland and back to the hub to find a spot to watch the parade.

Lovely looking balloon ride! ANd even better looking lunch! :thumbsup2 Your caramel macchiato sure didn't look like that fancy picture. Did they stir it for you?? :confused3 Odd. But like you say, at least you got to sit and relax for a bit; those moments are so important.

We love that balloon ride! And now, thinking about it, we go on this ride nearly every time we are at DLRP! :goodvibes
I was as surprised as everyone else on how the caramel macchiato looked! :lmao:
My reason to order it was that I thought it was going to be served in a china cup - they asked if we wanted to drink it there and YES, we told them we would, but we ended up with the paper cup - once I took off the lid, that's what it looked like!
It tasted nice and sweet though, so I enjoyed it - it just didn't look all that inviting! ;)
