USPS Tracking

I'll just add to the list of missing a package with USPS. Was supposed to be delivered 9 days ago. Hasn't moved in 11 days.

My package sent from NJ 3 weeks ago finally made it to VA this week...only to be misrouted to the wrong zip with no ETA.

If you go to the USPS site and click on the business customer links, there are some interesting spreadsheets showing which distribution centers are having the most issues. Sorry if dup info

https://about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/

the only issue in my entire state is a post office that serves a town with a population of 71 was closed the end of July due to building maintance issues. Mail has been rerouted to a different post office in another town a whopping 7 miles away.

The two items I am waiting for haven't moved from the USPS shipping spot they are in in 5 days.

Waiting on a package that was to be delivered today. Now expected any where between tomorrow and Wednesday.

It is not Christmas related. Just a shower curtain and other home related things.

Update... The package that was the reason I started this thread, with no movement since November 12th, that I got a refund for a couple of weeks ago, has now magically appeared back on USPS tracking as arriving at the post office in my town.

Fingers crossed you get it soon! Seems like that meme myself and another poster shared it just perfect for your situation!

A relative of my husband was just explaining a situation they had with a futon. The futon was in 2 different boxes (one for the cushion one for the frame). They needed it by Christmas. Box 1 shows up way late from when it was supposed to arrive and it's the frame. Tracking shows the cushion to be somewhere in CA (no distribution center listed). They call the company who explains they'll refund the price for the cushion because there is no way to get it by Christmas it would be late in Jan before they could get it to them. They accept the refund and 4 days later the cushion shows up. Tracking still shows the box to still be somewhere in CA lol.

I have a package I shipped to my son in Wisc on Dec. 4th - was told it would be there the following Saturday - as of yesterday, it hasn't left my state yet - it sat at the post office I dropped it off at for over a week before going less than 30 miles down the road to the distribution center - where it sat another week.

oh, and I paid $43 to ship it too!! What did that even get me??

Who knows when he'll actually get it!

:headache: :headache: :headache: :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I can go you one better than that..2 pkgs that left NJ on 11/27 still haven't made it to MD..it is now 24 days today. One I sent to FL Dec 8, still has't made it there 13 days later,,and one shipped to me from MI on Dec 8, still hasn't made it here in 13 days. Tracking hasn't moved on any of those pkgs since the dates I listed. Pretty much sure that none of these are going to make it by Christmas :(

@sweetpeama --interesting link you provided--
but--
Everyone here is saying the issue in MD is that the Baltimore distribution place has too many employees out with covid, and that a lot of the missing/late pkgs have just been sitting there. There is no mention of that in any of the spreadsheets I could find. What I find odd, is that all of Amazon's packages are moving and getting delivered in record time, yet all of the others show no tracking info or missing info.

Mine kept showing that it would be delivered on Saturday. That came and went, and now the update just says “in transit arriving late.” I ordered these items on 12/3 and it first hit the USPS tracking system on 12/7. They are personalized Christmas ornaments and now I’m beginning to wonder if I’ll get them before the Christmas tree comes down. 😂

I ordered something at the end of November that shipped USPS Priority from my neighboring state on Dec. 1. It disappeared into the void and I finally opened a case last week. I was notified today that it’s out for delivery. We’re the last community on the route and routinely get our mail as late as 9pm with it often being held over until the next day, so we’ll see. Three weeks for a priority package to make it across the state line. :sad2: It should be here by Christmas though, so I’m happy enough.

Glad your pkg is finally being delivered! That's nuts that it took 20 days to go one state over though!
Thanks for the heads up about filing a claim. It says I must wait 15 days for priority mail before filing one. So I can file 3 of them on Wed and 1 on Thursday for 3 that are MIA coming to me, and 1 I sent to FL. This is really getting ridiculous. I questioned our mail carrier again today..and she said come to think of it, the only pkgs I have to deliver today are from Amazon,,how come theirs don't go missing but every other company's does?

Edited to add---Wow..10 min ago I had no issues on the USPS.com site. Trying to track #'s..now nothing is working and I got the following message--
Sorry, we're currently experiencing technical difficulties with our tracking application. We thank you for your patience while we work to resolve the issue. Please check back.
Can they get any more messed up than they already are? I am really losing my patience with them lately :(

It took 14 days and was ten days late, but my package has arrived. I'm wondering if the fact I signed up for updates on Friday had anything to do with the package finally moving out of limbo where it sat since 12/7?

Interestingly I have had the most luck with packages shipped across the country. Two to WA, one (shipped 12/11) took 4 days, the other (shipped 12/15) took 5. But one to FL (shipped 12/15) hasn’t had any progress for days, and two within state also no progress for days. The in-state ones are going 134 miles, and one was shipped 12/11 and the other 12/15.

Mine was a personalized Christmas gift too. It couldn't have just been replaced so I was way anxious. I sure hope you get yours!

When my package said out for delivery the e-mail I got said 9:45am-1:45pm, then the tracking info changed to 7:15am-10:15am. When 10:00am rolled around it changed to 11:15am then changed to 6:15pm then briefly it changed to 9:00pm (and I was really anxious because I was worried it would then be the next day at that point) then it was unavailable for a short time with that message you saw, then it switched back to 6:15pm for the rest of the day and was delivered at 4:45pm. It was one wild ride that day for sure!

Oh wow, when I looked into filing a claim the site said I only needed to wait 5 days for a priority package. I wonder if that varies by region or if they changed the guidelines since last week.

The package was delivered today. We contacted the company since we don't need the item anymore (it was a Christmas gift, and we have already bought something else). They told us to either keep the item or donate it. The funny thing is there was a coupon inside for 25% off our next purchase, that expired on November 18th. They sure expected us to get the package long before December 21st!

I had the same issue with a pkg that contained amazon gift cards last Friday. Said out for delivery at 6:10 am..our carriers don't start until at least 8 out here. Then it switched to be delivered between 9:45 and 1:45. Then it switched to 6:30 pm. It was delivered at 4:30 by the carrier who handed it to me, I watched her scan it. I got in the house and it showed the pkg had been delivered at 11:30 am..lol. They sure are messed up. Glad you got your pkg though!

No idea..I didn't use Priority Mail Express, but here is the chart it shows me right now-
