USPS Tracking

I've got one shipment now that is missing. Shipper claims they shipped it 12/03/20 and Post Office says they are still awaiting the shipper to give it to them.

Thanks for this thread - nice to know others are experiencing the same frustration I am. I ordered 2 Christmas gifts at the end of November. One from Kohl’s, one from Etsy store in Hawaii (Dumb move on my part). Both have been ‘in transit, arriving late’ with no location noted by USPS tracking for 3 weeks. Contacted sellers but there’s not much they can do. GRRRR. Chalking it up to another COVID caused issue.

Not just USPS, FedEx has been absolutely terrible in my area. Not a single package over the past month or so from FedEx has been delivered within a few days past the original estimate. And about 1/3 of them have come damaged to the point of needing a replacement (granted some stuff I’ve ordered are heavy). Unfortunately, some vendors have a contract that only allows them to ship by FedEx and some vendors can’t get UPS to pick up packages (too busy).
In fact, I’ve been waiting on a FedEx package where the last scan happened one week ago at a sorting facility that is just ~15 miles from my place.

Unfortunately, they could be telling the truth. I have packages that I dropped off at the post office on 12/7 and have yet to be scanned.

Anyone’s packages being sent by USPS via Pitney Bowes? I see more vendors contracting PB these days, since UPS and FedEx are swamped, as a middleman before it gets to USPS for the last mile. Pitney Bowes shouldn’t even be in business. Pretty much a toss up in the air whether you’ll ever get your packages.

Me! And I agree that they shouldn't be in business,,and if they are , no vendors should be using them! I have 2 that show as going through Pitney Bowes, and guess which 2 haven't shown up despite being shipped on Nov 20, tracking shows they left NJ on 11/27 and I have yet to see them. Seller said call them tomorrow if they don't show up, and they will consider them 'lost in transit'. Still have 2 priority pkgs that are 'late in delivery', one was sent from me to FL a week ago, priority mail,,still hasn't gotten there. The other was sent to me on Dec 8, and still hasn't gotten here. The gift cards I ordered on Amazon 2 days ago, show as in Ohio yesterday and show as in PA this morning, I am in MD. Hopefully those arrive tomorrow or Saturday.

The gift cards are out for delivery according to tracking. The others still haven't arrived. The ebay seller of one, refunded my money and told me to keep it if it ever shows up. I have to call on 2 of the othrs today to request either a refund or a reshipment of both..and the one I sent to FL still hasn't arrive..from MD to FL ..8 days and still hasn't made it :(

Took a package to the post office Friday, 12/11, in NJ with a destination of Florida. We paid a little extra for 3 day delivery, not guaranteed but told it would be close. Just tracked it and it left NJ Friday, went to Albany, NY, Southern CT and now in MA. Ugh.

Image may contain: 1 person, text that says 'Matt The Ostrich Mitchell @ALostrich We're gonna be counting down on New Years Eve and find out 2021 is also in transit, arriving late.'

Good luck with that one. I mailed a pkg to FL on Thursday Dec 10, was supposed to arrive on Monday the 14'th. Its now the 18'th and it still hasn't gotten there. There isn't even any tracking information,,just says 'late in delivery', yeah I think I figured that one out on my own :(

mailed box to my elderly parents from bergen county to barnegat, NJ on dec 8 - box is still in jersey city, in transit - whatever the hell that means...

I heard on the radio today that today is the USPS deadline for mailing first-class packages for Christmas delivery, tomorrow is the deadline for Priority Mail, and December 23rd is the deadline for Express 2-day mail... and I kind of laughed to myself, thinking of this thread and my own package that was mailed 11/30 via Priority 2-day and arrived 17 days later. Good luck, last minute mailers, good luck.

I hope that everyone gets their expected packages on time. Mine was scanned one time -- in New Jersey 4 days after the shipper said they shipped it from Pennsylvania -- and not again till it arrived at my local post office. The rest of the time it just said "in transit."

I have a package that's been stuck at USPS in Cinci since 12/7. Delivery estimate is still 12/9 to 12/11, but status simply shows 12/13 in Cinci. arriving late.
Ironically it is the single thing for the entire holiday season that I paid for shipping.

ETA Not holding out much hope for tracking considering they have the option available to purchase premium tracking.

I posted earlier on this thread that I was waiting for a package from Pottery Barn Teen. PBT said the package was delivered on December 5th. It was not. When I tracked the package on the USPS website, it said my package was in transit. It finally came yesterday, almost a month after I ordered it. I‘m just glad it finally came in time to give it for Christmas!

You won’t believe this, I just checked again, it says “late in delivery”. Sigh. I did tell the recipient that a package is floating around the country and hope it’s received sometime soon.

I had a Disney Movie Club order that sat at the distribution center for my address for 5 days before making it across the halll to the post office my mail comes out of and got delivered to me. I used an in called mention it to daddy who casually mentioned it in passing to a friend's son in law who just happens to be the superivisor of the post office that is the distrubution center for my area.
Wish that they would go back to having the number of the supervisor for each station put out to the public instead of a general number. At least then if you knew what post office your mail came out of if multiple in your area yiou could call the supervisor who would usually be able to track it down and either get an item to you if they had it there or get it moving again if it was somewhere else. By having the numbers to people who lived in the communities and knew their customers often personally especially in smaller towns they had much better customer service overall.

My package sent from NJ 3 weeks ago finally made it to VA this week...only to be misrouted to the wrong zip with no ETA.

If you go to the USPS site and click on the business customer links, there are some interesting spreadsheets showing which distribution centers are having the most issues. Sorry if dup info
