Useless facts/Chit Chat Thread

Useless fact #6,753:
Boston broke their all time record of total rainfall. We have had 14.86" of rain in the month of March! Not to worry though....the ark is almost finished :)

Oh good. save me a place near the bathroom.

The only difference between a yard sale and a trash pickup is how close to the road the stuff is placed.

If a radio station is playing "Stairway to Heaven," the disc jockey is in the bathroom.

Two things that have been brought to my attention in the past couple of days that I thought I would share with the Fort Folks:

#1: I got a call from my bank yesterday trying to get me to "opt in" to their services after August 15th. Come to find out, they were trying to get me to agree to keep letting them charge extra fees if I were to overdraft my account on my debit card. See, what people do is go and charge, charge, charge on their debit card over a weekend and the bank will approve it and charge their 35 bucks each time you do it. If you "opt out", then they have to decline it when it is presented and the account is in danger of being overdrawn because of funds available. My bank even turned my words around at the end trying to get me to go for the status quo, saying they couldn't help me if I got in trouble. I told them that if the money is not in the account, I shouldn't be asking them to pay for it!

#2: I was on the phone with my credit card company (Capital One), and they have a similar thing go into effect this last Feb. 22. You have to call your credit card company and "opt out" of their overlimit fees. If you do, they cannot authorize charges that are over your limit and then charge you the 39 bucks. They didn't give me such double talk as the bank, but I was already mad at them, so I doubt they would have wanted to annoy me further.

Just words to the wise for y'all. If you don't want the extra fees for a slip up on your part, call your bank and your credit card companies and opt out.

(in case you want to farm your own lobster)

Freshly caught lobsters can be kept alive in tanks if properly fed. Plan on using 1 bushel of fish scraps per week per 100 pounds of lobster.

We had a house once with a central vac system, and in the kitchen under one of the cabinets was a place where you swept everything into, and it sucked it into the canister in the garage. It was pretty handy, but certainly not necessary.

Now, we have a simpler system that is similar to the electric dustpan, only ours is 14 years old and runs on pizza.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Don'tcha know that I'm lov'n you-oo-oo !
Don'tcha know that I'll always be true-ue-ue !
Oh won'tcha come with me and walk this land!

:hippie:

When waking up in the morning it is not advisable to step on a buzz lightyear pin with the heal of you foot... OUCH!!!!!:scared1::scared1::scared1:

Anyone else still waiting for their state income tax refund? :confused3

I've been waiting 7 years for my TN refunds to come. Oh wait, no state income tax here. Nevermind.

Sorry, you can call me an a$$ if you want. But after spending 35 years in NYS, I can feel your pain!
