But I would love to change my time for CRT. Do you think that the IPO could help me with this? I have called Disney Dining and they were booked solid for that day.
If they're booked, then unfortunately, concierge will be given the same message. Where they can help, is that they will keep checking back for a cancellation on your behalf. That will at least save you the time of having to call back yourself periodically. I would suggest that you give them a range of time that would be more suitable and if something opens up, they can book it for you.

Thanks TammiMcman. That's what I will do. I'll call GF IPO tomorrow morning and see what she can do. Cross your fingers and wish me luck. :) If she is able to perform any miracles I'll post it. Just 15 more days!!!!! :cool1: Thanks again

Hi, I wonder if anyone of you guys could help me. I have been looking at booking concierge on the disney uk website but am confused about some of the codes they seem to be using. For the Beach Club it said Harbor club WF, what does WF mean? For the yacht club it said YF and for the Boardwalk it said Water view IC which was a bit cheaper than the YC and BC prices. So does water view mean a pool view at the Boardwalk? If the YC and BC were a little more expensive what views would these possibly be?
Also do the lake view rooms at the YC and BC all have good balconies? I would want a nice balcony for my stay.
Lastly I have heard that the BW has the best concierge lounge out of the 3 resorts, is this true?

At the YC all concierge rooms are on the 5th floor and have full balconies. As I understand it, at the BC your room may not have a full balcony. At the YC and probably the BC, too there is a Lagoon View or a Standard View (which may be of the wedding gazebo or front of hotel). The YC Concierge Lounge is called the Regatta Club and the BC Concierge Lounge is called the Harbour Club. I'm not sure about the abbreviation/initials you mentioned. The lagood view might also be referred to as a Water View. All three hotels have different themes. I have only stayed at the YC concierge so can't address the other two concierge's. We enjoyed our stay at the YC.

We have stayed at the Boardwalk Inn and it is truly lovely! The concierge is called The Innkeeper's Club and, IMHO, it is the best concierge on Disney property. They offer a Deluxe Room and you can request a Boardwalk view. It is like a normal size room, however, it's longer with a livingroom type area (couch, chair, TV). Here's a pix:

Also, here is a picture of the view. We just loved it!

I'm staying at WL concierge, checking in on January 4th. Will they contact me or should I contact them? I really don't even know what I am going to ask of them but I just figured they would contact me.

Also, is there a different place that we check in?

tink n pooh - You are so close that you need to send a quick e-mail to them today. ::yes:: The e-mail address is in the beginning of this thread. Tell them your arrival date and what ADRs you are interested so they can get hopping.

When you arrive, just tell valet that you are a concierge guest. They'll call up to have a CM from concierge to meet you downstairs. If you arrive by ME the same rule applies.

We just booked Polynesian Conceirge for the lst time ever for our trip Nov27-Nov 30. We usually do a garden view room but at last minute this was all that was available. Without reading the whole thread can someone tell me what the food offerings are. I am more interested for our 2 hungry ds teens, and no I dont plan to make this our meals. I think they will turn it into their constant snack times , tia for any info.

I'm not one to do up an entire menu just to post, but I can let you know of what I remember from our trip. Breakfast is kind of universal throughout the resorts - muffins, bagels, possibly oatmeal, fruit, cereal/milk, juices. Assortment of snacks - chips, pretzels, cookies with sodas available. In the evening there were sticky wings - I remember those b/c I ate them (YUM!), hummus with pita bread, crackers, cheese, veggies, pineapple/caramel. I know there were other things but I just can't remember it all. There were an assortment of desserts - I remember the swans. There will be enough to curb some boys appetites. No need to worry. Other than GF RPC, Poly has a pretty good spread. HTH!

Hi, Susie! I'm sorry but Sunrise Safari is for Animal Kingdom's concierge guest only. I think you are reading about Disney's Animal Kindgom's safari for all concierge guests which you can book through CR's IPO. This is different then the other two safari's offered at AKL -mainly there is no meal associated with it. You will meet at the marketplace in Africa to meet with your tour guide in AK. I believe it's held at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. but I'm a little rusty. They will then escort you to your air conditioned mini-bus that is behind the scenes. Your safari will take place on Kilamajaro Safari ride WHILE it is in operation. They will pull the bus over in pull offs to allow ample photo opportunities and the tour guide will give you information on the animals, training and savannahs themselves. This was worth the money we spent on it IMO. It is usually limited to a small ground - say about 15 people. I'm sure you can go ahead and request it now though I'm not too sure when IPO will actually book it for you. It may be 180 days out like ADR's, but something tells me they no longer have a booking window for safaris.

If you're interested in Sunrise & Sunset Safari those are exclusive to AKL and I can give you a brief run down on those too.

HTH!

Our trip is a little under 180 days away now (yay) and we booked our AK Discovery Excursion (that's the safari tour available for all concierge guests at any WDW resort and probably what you want to book). It's $45 per person. It runs at 10am and 1pm. There is a limit of 15 people per tour so you will want to book that asap. You can book it through the concierge service at your WDW resort.

We got back from WDW 3 weeks ago (sigh...) and we did the Wildlife Discovery eXcursion (we were staying concierge at the Grand Floridian) - me, DH, and twins DS8. There were only 9 in the group but I think the max is 14. Our boys loved it, as did the other child in the group who wsa 5. I suspect he didn't benefit from all the knowledge being shared by our 2 guides and driver.

The 3 kids were given an animal spotting guide, clipped to a handy dandy lapdesk, crayons and binoculars. We weren't disappointed - we spotted every animal on the guide, and then some!

I think the $$ was worth it for our family, not so sure about the younger child. We learned lots and had plenty of time for pictures, asking questions etc. The guides (and other guests) were very patient and welcoming with the kids' questions, and the kids were so entertained they didn't mind the more in-depth discussions at other times.

Unfortunately, the dad of the young boy wasn't feeling at all well and at one point had to exit the vehicle to "toss his cookies." The guides said it was a first for them and the first time they had ever heard of a guest setting foot off the vehicle. I really felt for the guy, though.

I'll admit to feeling very spoiled when we would pull off the main road and savour our views of the animals as the regular Safari vehicles would pass by, 10+ would pass as we were still gazing away. I don't know how long the regular safari ride lasts, but our discovery excursion was >1 hour.

Hope this helps!

thanks everyone for your great replys, this is what we read about and from what you all said it sounds great, thanks again susie2

Does the GF IPO send out an questionnaire/info sheet to help with pre-arrival planning if you are staying in the RPC concierge?

The Contemporary, which shares the same IPO as the Grand, did not send us one for this trip (checking in tomorrow! ).

Once all of our ressies were made, however, they did send me a PDF of our final itinerary.

TwinMum, thanks for posting about the Wildlife Excursion. My kids broke their binoculars a few days ago, and I was stressing. (Couldn't tell them why I was upset, though, because it's a surprise trip.) Glad to know they provide them for the excursion!

A few months ago I e-mailed the GF IPO staff about having them make a V&A reservation for the first night of my honeymoon. They answered my e-mail, and asked me to call with a bit more information (which I did). The 180 day mark is coming up in the first week of January, so I was wondering what I should do to follow up. Should I send another e-mail? Do you think I should be on the phone on the 180th day trying to book my reservations too - or should I leave it in the hands of the IPO staff?

Thanks in advance for any advice!! :bride:
