Use Year - The first of the month?

I think I understand use years. But if someone would, please confirm or correct: if I choose September, for example, the point become available on September 1st each year? And four months previous is a deadline for making the choice to bank any unused point? So in the Sept example is the deadline May 1st each year?

Nope...April 30. BIG difference!

Are you asking if you have to decide to bank your points before you get your points?

No. Only asking if I have the timing correct on when the points will be available and when the banking decision I'll have to be Made in future years.

we sometimes talk like this but remember that you can book at 11 months out (or 7 months) based on your home resort.

all of your pts until expiration in 2042+ are already loaded in your account.

the big thing is that you can only borrow one UY ahead.

so if you want to book sept 1, 2015, you can book your home resort starting on oct 1, 2014. sept 1, 2015 is within your 2015 UY (sept 1, 2015 to aug 31, 2016) so you can use banked 2014 pts + current 2015 UY pts + borrowed 2016 UY pts when you call at 11 months ahead.

The online booking tool on the MS website has a nice reminder key off to the right side of the first page. I have a February UY.

Key Dates

Home Resort: You can book your arrival as far out as August 2, 2015 for a stay up to August 9, 2015.

Non-Home Resort: You can book your arrival as far out as April 2, 2015.
Holding Points: You can book using Vacation Points in holding as far out as November 1, 2014.

Banking Deadline:
If you are going to bank Vacation Points, you need to do so before October 1, 2014.
