Use different log in for DVC and MDE

I guess I am one of the lucky ones who hasn't had any problems with 2 different usernames and passwords with my DVC and MDE accounts. I have been able to link all my reservations and AP on MDE. I thought of combining the 2 accounts with one username but since it works, I'm leaving it alone.

I think the issue right now is that since DVC reservations may have been made before MDE was complete, reservations have to get modified to go back and get "linked". When things getted "linked" there's a 50/50 shot that it winds up on the correct MDE account if there are 2 to pick from. (If the ressie holder is the one that 'links' then it's no issue as you would just pick the correct account. But it seems under some conditions Disney attempts to figure out what to do and they sometimes pick the wrong account)

Once MDE is totally rolled out and official then i assume DVC reservations wont get "linked" after the fact but rather from the very start will be made with the DVC MDE account. We recently made a cash reservation adjacent to our upcoming DVC stay. Was seamless online- you just log in with your MDE and make the reservation and there's no linking after the fact- it gets made right off the bat with the MDE account connected.

But thinking about it- I guess that's a problem for folks who are using their non-dvc login MDE accounts now as any magic bands or AP's they have on those accounts would have to get moved over to the DVC MDE account.

I KNOW NOTHING- LOL- so all just my humble opinion.

I agree......and that's my issue.....I have Magic Bands on my non DVC account, and so far, there is no way to un link from one account and move to another. If I could, I would simply move the MB's to my DVC profile and do all future reservations for resorts, dining and passes on that account and all will be good!

go ahead and try DVC member services. I think they can merge the two accounts (but NOT certain since one has a reservation and the other has MB's). At least it's worth a try.
