Just wondering what they do in the run up to Xmas to make it special? Parades, decorations etc? Is it worth a special visit at this time of year or not?
Please help!

Yes, yes, YES!!! ::yes:: I absolutely LOVE Universal during the Christmas season.

Christmas decorations are hung, and it's so neat, like at New York...each building it decorated differently;different colors and everything (like how different business owners would decorate their own, and it would differ from next door). They have the annual Macy's Holiday Parade, which you can watch (or even participate in...my aunt did!!). In addition, two great shows at Universal get redone for the holidays. This includes the Extreme Ghostbusters, and the Blues Brothers Shows. Honestly, I think both of these are much better than the original shows! Certainly helps get into the holiday spirit, let me tell you!

IOA has Grinchmas, and it is really neat how they decorated Suess Landing. They have a Whoville Celebration thing...but I don't know much about it, because I've always been at Universal Studios for the holiday shows (conflicts). :)

Definitely check it out! Though beware of some of the characters from the Macy's Parade. They lurk around Universal Studios in the few hours leading up to the parade. They may trap you in the store where you must get your picture taken with Santa! All because you didn't tell them where the treasure was.......(LOL yes, two 'pirates' did this to my parents and me). Funny stuff!
