This is Scot of Scot and Steph. My wife and daughter are in Orlando and it seems my wife's purse was stolen with credit cards, ID, and passports. They are scheduled to board the Wonder tomorrow.

1. Does anyone know of a phone number to DCL that is 24-hours? The (800) 951-3532 does not open until 9AM

2. Has anyone heard about how Diney handles these situations? She has cash, copies of Passports, and ship boarding passes. My daighter has ID. Will they let them board?

Any help would be GREATLy appreciated. As you can imagine, they are both pretty upset.

Thanks in advance,

Scot

There is not a 24 hour line for DCL but here are Shirley & Norm's cell phone numbers from her info thread so she can contact them in the morning.. If anyone can help her get to the help she needs, it would be them. Has your wife called your CC company yet? She is going to need enough cash to cover anything that would be placed on her shipboard account including spa, Palo, tips & excursions they have planned through DCL.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm wishing you all the best, and hope everything works out.

Thanks for the info. We are waiting a few more hours to see if the purse turns up. If not we will report it stolen.

She has enough cash to cover everything (although they may have to forgo an excursion). She has copies of her passports. Sounds like we might be putting the Disney Customer Service to the test. Let's hope they pass.

Good luck to them tomorrow. :) Thank goodness she has copies of their PP.

If my purse was missing on vacation, I would immediately report it to the police. Also, it is very important to report the credit cards missing to each company so as not to be held liable for any charges that may be incurred..

Did this happen on WDW property? My DD once lost her wallet in the ladies room in Epcot Future World and a nice guest turned it in to a CM. She was able to pick it up at the gift shop in the area. If it had been later on, it would have been turned in to Guest Services by then.

If you at least have a police report, it will be some documentation to bring to the cruise terminal and may help plead her case to board without I.D.

This is going to be a tough one. It may not be a case of Disney customer service, but a case of will she be allowed back when leaving the U.S. without proper identifcation.. I am not sure what they will do, but I wish you all well...

Oh goodness, I would still call and report the purse immediately. It could turn up later, but I would still make sure you have a police report.

Good luck to you all, I hope this turns out OK. Please keep up posted.

I'm so sorry this happened to them - as above, I would call the police now and have them take a report. It's going to take time to have them get the police report filed and into the system on their end before a copy will be available for your wife. Definitely have them bring the police report to the port with them in the morning. Good luck! :wizard:

Great advice here. She is reporting the purse stolen. We will see what develops tomorrow. I'll update the progress.

Thanks again.

How awful! That's an awful thing to have happen in daily life, but even worse when you're on vacation! Prayers and pixie dust coming your way in hopes that the purse is found and returned before the cruise!

Someone on a cruise lost theirs on the way to the ship. They were able to get emergency passports. They had to run to CVS for photos but it wasn't bad. I also saw someone at the airport who lost their id. TSA ran them and found them good to go.

I am so sorry this has happend to your family. I am wishing them the best of luck and pray DCL lets them on the ship.
Do you have another credit card with you that DW has not lost? Maybe DCL would let you give them that number over the phone for her ship board account.
Best of Luck

So sorry this happened to your family. Thank goodness for the copies of the passports. Not sure if this is any help or not, but we had EVERYTHING stolen (passports, ID, money, credit cards, etc) right from our car when we ran in to grab some things from the drug store before a cruise thru Alaska. We were going to the ship next. They were very helpful (of course it wasn't DCL) but they help us get everything together and we were able to still cruise. By the time we got to our first port we had replacement passports...the cruise company was great about everything and even check on us a couple of times throughout the cruise.

I hope it works out but I am guessing DCL has dealt with this and hope that they rise to the occassion.
