Uppy, Uppy, Mr. Andy -- Update -- WRAP UP -- Post 1346, Page 90

I think I am going to be . Did I never tell you that this was the child who took five years to graduate college? :lmao::lmao:

An extra year of constant partying and no responsibility? Sounds like a plan to me...:thumbsup2

I cannot believe that I did not explain the title of the trip report when I did our Magic Kingdom evening at the MNSSHP. I am getting old. :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Mary and Jeff did not bring the stroller for the girls this year, so they had to walk. Well, Cayley, being age 5 and too young to do all that walking around the park.

Well, as we all know, Cayley had Mr. Andy wrapped around her finger within two minutes with her cuteness and whenever she would get tired, she would say, Mr. Andy, I'm tired...uppy, uppy please. And being the soft-hearted son that he is, he would pick her up and hold her or carry her whenever she asked.

It was just so cute the way those two fell in love with each other that it was the perfect title for my trip.

What a softy! That's too cute.

:woohoo: for fun at EPCOT. Another round of great pictures. Everyone looks like they're having a blast. Where did you answer the phone? How cool!

Thanks, Tina. The phone call came in at the American Adventure before you step into the big Rotunda.

You've been an updating fool.... I love Marks Beer goggles :goodvibes

I bet that lady was in love with Andy...if I was only a few years younger.

Hi, Jen. I am determined to get this TR doen by this weekend or early next week if possible so I can start the PTR for the January trip which is only 58 days away!!!!!!!!! :scared1:

He is a handsome devil, isn't he?

LOVE the beer goggles! I need to find those when we go... one of Eddie's coaches is single and that would be a perfect gift for him! :rotfl:

I noticed Andy's shirt - Winter baseball meetings Orlando... and I wonder if that is the same meeting Eddie attended. He goes to Anaheim this year (actually in January) for winter meetings. One of these years I'm going with him... :goodvibes

I agree - that CM in DHS was :lovestruc with your son... you can see it in the picture!! :goodvibes

The beer goggles were hysterical, and would be a perfect gift for a single guy!

We've discussed those winter baseball meetings. :goodvibes

I can't wait to come back and see all your pictures. I do remember the beer goggles, which I think are hysterical! Can't wait to see those and the picture of Andy tasting the Beverly. That's always a fun shot! :rotfl:

Thanks, MEK. You will see these were slighly different gogles this time. Love Beverly shots!

I loved getting to read so many updates in one sitting! At least the lady at DHS didn't chase him down the street or anything! :lmao: I can't wait to see Andy's Beverly face.

I do have one :sad2: note. Where is Eeyore in your Christmas decorations? Not enough Eeyore in my book and I have a feeling Mark would agree! Now that I put my two cents in.... I should probably work on decorating my house.:rolleyes1:rotfl:

In my defense, there is NOT a lot of Eeyore stuff out there, but I have about 15 Eeyore ornaments on my tree.

I was behind because of our trip to Tennessee but am all caught up now. There are way too many things to comment on but it does look like you guys were having a great time together. You know that I, personally, understand just how special it is to have one of your grown kids go back to Disney World with you.

Lisa, I knew you'd understand bringing that "grown" child with you. Now, I wish I could just get Markie there with us. But with all of what he has been telling me about him and his girlfriend lately, they may have plans of their own.

Love your Christmas decorations!

So Andy had his first experiences with TSM and Beverly on the same day? That's an awful lot to handle. Love how Mark bested him on TSM. :thumbsup2

Hope you enjoyed Le Cellier! I'll have to find your dining review.

Thank you, Mark.

Yes, Andy had to suffer through both of those things this trip. And I was so happy that Mark bested him...Andy usually wins at everything.

An extra year of constant partying and no responsibility? Sounds like a plan to me...:thumbsup2

Yes, it was a great plan by my son for "partying".

What a softy! That's too cute.

Andy always has been a softy!

Playing catch-up again! :sad2:

Wow! You are updating like you go on your next trip in under two months! ;) :lmao:
But I love all your updates! So many fun photos. The one of Andy and the street performer is just priceless! She really had her eyes on him!

Those little touches like the phone call, just make Disney so extra special. It's the little touches of extra pixie dust that draw us back again and again! :thumbsup2

Great updates Kathy! It's gray and kind of chilly here today, so the idea of swimming sounds lovely!!

I just love Streetmosphere at HS! They always add a nice memory to vacation!

All caught up! Very sorry to hear about Markie's friend. Looks like a fun time at DHS!! Ur house decor looks amazing!! You have my addy so don't be shy in sending me some kiss cookies-my favorite!! The Cave-ah yes boys will be boys. Our tickers say 1 month now.....

It would be cool if you started the PTR at 50 days out-no presure though ;)

Karin, I think we all seem to be playing catch up.

This is the second time in the last four years we got that Anniversary call and Mark got a 50th birthday call too. :)

I hope Tom is feeling better.

Thanks, Kelly. Winter is definitely setting in here and I would much rather be swimming.

I could spend hours watching the Streetsmosphere.

I love your Christmas decorations!!!

And all the pictures in your trip updates!!!

Thanks, Ann, I appreciate it.

Hi, stranger. I was beginning to think you moved to another country and that I'd not be going to DW in January. :rolleyes1

We had a great time at the Studios. The next update will be fun because you guys are in it.

Mark is mailing the girls their Christmas gifts this week...you be the judge of when you give them to them.

So in other words you want me to start the PTR on Tuesday, December 6 (I believe that would be Day 50). You are a funny gal...although I might be able to get this TR done by then. I'll have to message you to be sure I have the parks on the right days. Give the kids kisses for us.

Sorry, we went to Calif for TGiving-6.5 hour drive. The internet there was s l o w very s l o w Of course we are going in jan, I am so excited. he next update will be fun cause ther was drinking involved-to bad it wasn't us LOL Oh boy Christmas gifts-you organized lady you. I thought 50 days to go was a nice number. I promise to contribute lots-I have lots of yet to be seen pics:rolleyes1 Ah yes the park days...... Hugs and kisses given-Jeff says thanks :rotfl2:

We LOVED the new refurb of this ride. Had we had more than a half day here, we would have done it again. So we will be doing it a couple of times on our next trip......

Again, way behind:confused3 They were doing soft opens of the new ST in May and we missed the chance. We were not thrilled with ST in 2007 but maybe its time to give it another chance.
We walked over to the Writer's Shop because I still had not had any coffee and the guys wanted some breakfast.

.....
After having coffee and breakfast, we decided to head to Muppetvision 3D.
:worship:That you could even leave your room without coffee is far far far more than I would do (or that Joe would want me to:lmao:)

Muppetvision is high on the list for next year - we have NEVER done it! Joe is not a muppet fan but he knows that he can't avoid it any longer. Lesley and I took Katie & my niece to see the new Muppet movie this weekend. LOVED IT and now Katie is also hooked on Muppets. MMUAAAHAHAHAHA there will be no escape for Joe, whether I am with Lesley or Katie!:lmao::rotfl2:

Andy LOVES Rock and Roll Roller Coaster. This is a good thing because I just can't handle the ride anymore and his Dad loves it, so the two of them were going together.......
On my way back, a young CM stopped me and wished me a Happy Anniversary and asked where my other half was. I told her they were on Rock & Roll Roller Coaster. She asked if they would like to do it again and gave me four fastpasses for the ride. She also asked if we were going to do Tower of Terror and I said we would be doing it after they got off R&R. She gave me four fastpasses for that as well. MAJOR PIXIE DUST!!!
How awesome to have so much Pixie Dust sprinkled your way this trip, and think its fun how happy you made that couple just starting their marriage with your fast passes. That's Nice!:rolleyes1

How very sweet that Caylee had Andy wrapped around her finger. I sort of guessed that it was something along those lines when I saw the pictures of Andy and the girls the first night~:lovestruc

Well, I'm glad we did, because I LOVE these pictures:

And then we joined in:

Just look at that big bear hug. :cloud9:

Now, a little update that isn't on the Disney trip, but it is still Disney related. We got the house all done today.

I don't feel so bad now with my three huge bins of Christmas decorations - you've got me beat!!! Love all the Disney themed decorations ....must have taken you years to build that collection. I am a little envious!

After "One's Man Dream" we decided it was time to leave. Andy and Mark decided they wanted to get some swim time in before we headed to Epcot, so it was time to head to the car and drive back to OKW.
Photo0804FourBySix.jpg

Up next: We arrive at Epcot

Where did you find that Tee that Mark is wearing? That is a line my 95 year old grandfather has been using for years. I doubt he'd wear a tee shirt but I wonder if its sold on a ball cap? That tee is great!

After dinner, it was time to stroll World Showcase until we met up with Mary, Jeff and the girls.

Then it was France and time for my Slush:

mmmmm Grand Marnier slushie...we were just talking about these...

I just love reading your updates Kathy! Thanks for sharing them!

I was only giving you a hard time. :goodvibes

Ummmmm...I believe we had a cocktail too--does the word Slush come to mind. But we certainly didn't have as much as the "boys."

Yep, that's me...organized. :)

I will start the PTR on Tuesday for sure...even if I haven't finished my TR.

Again, way behind:confused3 They were doing soft opens of the new ST in May and we missed the chance. We were not thrilled with ST in 2007 but maybe its time to give it another chance.

We really liked the new Star Tours.

:worship:That you could even leave your room without coffee is far far far more than I would do (or that Joe would want me to:lmao:)

It's very hard to leave without coffee, but I just can't drink regular coffee...have to have a cappucino.

Yep, you guessed right.

Just look at that big bear hug. :cloud9:

Wasn't that a great bear hug. I think that is my favorite picture of the trip with a character.

I don't feel so bad now with my three huge bins of Christmas decorations - you've got me beat!!! Love all the Disney themed decorations ....must have taken you years to build that collection. I am a little envious!

I've been collecting since the kids were young...so at least 20 years.

Where did you find that Tee that Mark is wearing? That is a line my 95 year old grandfather has been using for years. I doubt he'd wear a tee shirt but I wonder if its sold on a ball cap? That tee is great!

We got the t-shirt at the Once Upon A Story shop at Downtown Disney; it was my favorite purchase of the trip.

mmmmm Grand Marnier slushie...we were just talking about these...

I just love my Grand Marnier slushies. :goodvibes

I just love reading your updates Kathy! Thanks for sharing them!

Thanks, MaryEllen.

Let's wrap up Day 6 so we can get to our last Disney day since I have a PTR to start on Tuesday for our "girls" January trip.

I left you with our having just finished visiting Germany.

It was now time to go and meet Mary, Jeff and the girls in Mexico. Mary, the girls, Mark and I hopped on the Gran Fiesta Tour while Andy and Mary's husband, Jeff, decided to go to The Cave for a drink.

Day6166.jpg

Day6167.jpg

Day6168.jpg

We then had to have a redo of last year's pictures in the Mexican shops:

Day6174.jpg

Day6172.jpg

Day6171.jpg

The boys returned from The Cave where they did NOT have margaritas...but tequila shots. Since it was basically 3-1/2 shots, they got two of them so that they would each have the same amount. :rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

From there, it was off to Norway to see some trolls:

Dump shop:

Day6180.jpg

Andy made me take this picture (yes, those tequila shots were getting to him!):

Day6182.jpg

Day6183.jpg

We then started walking towards Germany where the boys were going to get some beer. Along the way--some daddy love:

Day6185.jpg

My two men being silly:

Day6186.jpg

Illimunations had started as we were walking to the front of the park to do some attractions. I took pictures as we walked that way (with Andy running way ahead with Cayley on his shoulders :scared1:):

Day6193.jpg

Day6198.jpg

Day6201.jpg

At this point, the boys had yet another beer and Mary and I needed a Slush:

Day6206.jpg

Day6207.jpg

To be continued...will we get on at least one attraction?

The boys returned from The Cave where they did NOT have margaritas...but tequila shots. Since it was basically 3-1/2 shots, they got two of them so that they would each have the same amount. :rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Right, because 7 splits evenly... :confused3

Andy made me take this picture (yes, those tequila shots were getting to him!)

I'm sure it was the tequila. No one in your family would take silly hat pictures without some outside influence. :rolleyes1

I love how you have become such good friends with Mary and the girls, isn't the Dis wonderful? :goodvibes

I have met so many great people here...it's amazing! The DIS is wonderful. :goodvibes

Right, because 7 splits evenly... :confused3

My guess is that they figured that way they could each have 3-1/2. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I'm sure it was the tequila. No one in your family would take silly hat pictures without some outside influence. :rolleyes1

ABSOLUTELY! ;)

We left off with Mary and I getting a Slush and the men yet another beer. We headed towards Future World and hoping to do a couple of attractions.

Journey Into Imagination -- closed. Soarin' -- 70 minute wait. Test Track -- 90 minute wait. WHY are all these people out for EMH's...don't they know we are important people and they should be sleeping so we could enjoy ourselves. I have to say this year it was more crowded than I've ever seen it in September as far as riding the attractions for EMH's. I think part of it was that we were there just a couople of days before F&W started, plus the MK's 40th birthday.

With the above attractions a no go, we decided to head over to see Nemo and friends as it indicated on the board only a 10 minute wait. Once we got there, I took a picture of Andy and Mark with the girls (I think Jeff had gone to the little boys room):

Day6208.jpg

Then Andy took one of Mary, the girls and me:

Day6209.jpg

Andy asked a very nice CM to take our picture as a group. I think she truly thought we were all nuts because we were all giggling so much (I doubt it had anything to do with the adult beverages that we had during the evening ;)).

The results:

Day6210.jpg

Day6211.jpg

It was then off to see Nemo and his friends. It was basically a walk on as we all jumped and skipped and giggled going through the queue.

Day6212.jpg

After our adventures with Nemo and friends, we hit up Spaceship Earth and then would call it a night (for some reason I didn't take any pictures at Spaceship Earth).

It was then time for goodbyes. Mary, Jeff and the girls had plans for the next day with friends from Florida, and Andy, Mark and I would be spending our last day at the world. I got teary-eyed saying goodbye to our good friends figuring that we might not see each other until September again (little did I know that I'd be spending time with Mary and my sweet angels in January).

We stopped by a photopass photographer after our goodbyes (good thing it was dark and you couldn't see that I had been crying):

Up next, our last day at Disney World.

The wait times seem mighty long for EMHs. At least you were able to get into The Seas and Spaceship Eath with Jeff, Mary and the girls before calling it a night. I love the Photopass pictures of all of you...especially the silly one.

Don't you just love the details of the TSMM queue? Aaw poor Andy losing...luckily I'm not competitive but I can imagine that can be quite annoying if you don't like to lose :rotfl:

I so need to visit One Man's Dream on a future trip.

Great PP pics and yay on getting a famous beverly shot! ;)

Sounds like you had a great time touring WS - love all the pics :goodvibes

Awesome update. I love the pictures! It is so nice that you could spend time with special people that you have met through dis. I know I am beyond excited to finally get a chance to meet just a few of the people who have been so nice to me this year...and who I call friends.

Hi Kathy! I hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving, we had an amazing one with tons of family which always makes me sad afterward since we all live so spread out.

I see that I'm seriously behind here with the updates and will try desperately to catch up!

Ok, you really have a sweetie in that Andy of yours. Really! And he is a handsome fella too! No wonder Cayley fell in love.:goodvibes

I love all the hat pics, especially the Mexico pavillion one with Mark and Andy. Like father like son I guess right?

Hmm, tequila shots? Um no thanks. I hate the taste of it, hate it. DH likes it though but I consider him rather strange so... How fun that you and Mark got to take the girls on the boat ride. I know I've said it before but it must have been soooo precious to share Disney with those two sweet princesses.

I love that streetmosphere pic of Andy and his madam! I remember that teaser pic from your PTR too, it's great! She does look quite smitten with him too.

Your Thanksgiving looked great and your Christmas decorations even better! We're putting ours up this weekend, I can hardly wait!:thumbsup2

These next two pics are my favs so far, they are darling Kat.

Day6179.jpg

Day6207.jpg

Wow lady, are you really trying to finish this puppy up in the next week?!?! You haven't even done Marco Island yet! Though I suppose having a rapidly approaching January trip is reason enough to finish!

Oh, and I love  the explanation of your TR title! So sweet that Andy of yours. And Cayley is such a character too! What a fun trip so far.:goodvibes

Kathy, what a great TR so far. My God, if I were younger, I grab Andy up in a heartbeat, so handsome. You know, no matter how many times you do Disney, there is nothing better than doing it with small kids. It just makes everything so new and special. I only wish my niece and nephews were still little, I had such special times with them. It's nice you can share your vacation with little ones!!
