Uppy, Uppy, Mr. Andy -- Update -- WRAP UP -- Post 1346, Page 90

I cannot believe that I did not explain the title of the trip report when I did our Magic Kingdom evening at the MNSSHP. I am getting old. :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Mary and Jeff did not bring the stroller for the girls this year, so they had to walk. Well, Cayley, being age 5 and too young to do all that walking around the park.

Well, as we all know, Cayley had Mr. Andy wrapped around her finger within two minutes with her cuteness and whenever she would get tired, she would say, Mr. Andy, I'm tired...uppy, uppy please. And being the soft-hearted son that he is, he would pick her up and hold her or carry her whenever she asked.

It was just so cute the way those two fell in love with each other that it was the perfect title for my trip.

I hope to get another update tonight after our company leaves.

In the meantime, hope you all have a GREAT Thanksgiving.

I'm really sorry to hear about Markie's friend - my thoughts and prayers and with you and their family

Sounds like a great DHS half day - we never did the new Star Tours but it looks like fun!

:woohoo: on the Major Pixie dust!!!

Happy Thanksgiving - hope you have a great long weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving!

That is such an adorable story! :cloud9: I thought maybe it was an inside joke and I was out of the loop. :lmao:

Happy Thanksgiving, Kathy! Hope you've had a yummy day!

What a sweet story about Andy and Cayley.

Awesome Pixie Dust story! Those moments always end up being the most memorable, and are what separates the "magic" of Disney with the "fun" of other parks.

Loving the TR so far!

Thanks, Tanz. Tomorrow at the wake will be a sad day.

The DHS day was great, and more to come.

It was terrific pixie dust and saved us some much needed time.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Nope...no inside joke. Just Cayley giving me inspiration. :goodvibes

Happy Thanksgiving, Kathy! Hope you've had a yummy day!

Thanks, Christine. They were so cute together. He'll be a great daddy:goodvibes.

I love when those pixie dust stories happen.

Glad you are enjoying the TR.

Dinner over, dishes done, company gone, some of the Christmas decorations are up, and Andy at the Casino boat with his best friend and his family, so time to do a short update before I head to bed to get up early and start on the tree tomorrow.

I ended with Andy and I just getting off Tower of Terror. I asked him if he wanted to ride again and he said, no, let's get some other things done so that we can go over to Epcot. I said that was fine with me. Mark didn't want to do Rock & Roll again either. So as we were walking to our next destination, I found a young "just married" couple and gave them our fastpasses for Rock & Roll and Tower of Terror. Let me tell you that the woman was so darn excited. She jumped up and down and screamed and said no one had ever done anything so nice for them and she started tearing up. She asked me "Can I give you a hug?" and I said sure. It was nice to return a little magic.

We decided to head over to the Animation Studio. I took these along the way:

We sat through the short preview of how cartoons are drawn and then took a few pictures:

Unfortunately, the class had just started and we still had much to do. So much to my regret, we skipped the class, but we did stop to see some characters.

First, the main Mouse:

Then we saw that Winnie-the-Pooh was there. We told the CM ushering us in that we wanted Andy to go first and by himself because he'd not been there for over 11 years. Okay, that was a little white fib as he was there in 2009, but he didn't see any characters in 2009 so it was the first time he would be seeing characters in 11 years. Well, I'm glad we did, because I LOVE these pictures:

Okay, I'm more tired than I thought. I'll end here and finish up our morning at DHS tomorrow. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Great photos of the parade and the castle, HalloWishes is the best fireworks display at Disney IMO :teeth:

Sorry to hear about Markies friend, that is just too awful :(

DHS day looks great, so cool that the CM gave you the FP's and too cute about the newlyweds encounter :)

Love your pics with Mickey and Pooh Bear :)

Great PP pics of you and Andy! I bet you are so glad you stopped. Too bad you didn't have time to draw.

That was so nice of you to give away your FPs. Nothing like passing on the magic!

I love the PP pics of Andy. How very sweet. I think it's great that you found a couple who really appreciated your gesture with the fast passes too. I love giving away our unused FP's but sometimes people just don't get why we do it. There kinda give you that sideways look like why are you being nice to a total stranger. :confused3

Morning Kathy! I'm glad you had a nice Thanksgiving! You must have made that Newlywed couples whole trip by giving them those FPs! My mom has a picture from my last trip with Tigger and myself and its very much like Andy's photos with Pooh. He really gave Pooh a great big bear hug!

That was so nice that you gave your FP's away! It's too bad you missed the animation class, but there's always next time!

I love all the Pooh pics! And I love Mark's muppet shirt, I just read what it says on it, that's so funny! :rotfl:

Great Update !!Loved the Andy Pooh pix !!!:love:I am sooo glad you explained the Title , it made no sense to me before but now is PERFECT:cloud9::hug:

Giving away FPs is almost as fun as actually using them! We got TT FPs from a family at Coral Reef last year, then returned the favor many times after. One of my favorites was watching a mom ask about the 2 hour wait at Toy Story Mania, then asking her husband if they wanted FPs. They were stunned :)

I love the pictures of Andy and Pooh. I bet as a mom, you were taken back to Andy as a child..right then and there. I know I would be. So often my oldest son (now..kinda sorta an adult... more adultish than childish) will do something and I see the toddler in him again. Melts a mothers heart. :goodvibes

I think it's funny how Mark can do RnR, but is leary on ToT....I think RnR, is way more intense and much harder on the neck. (I have a lot of neck and back problems too).
I'm so glad your FP recipients were more than happy and thankful to get them. it makes you feel good.
And those Pooh pictures with Andy are priceless!

I was very happy we stopped because I love the Pooh pictures.

I love to share. :)

Thanks, Dawn. You would think being at Disney they would get the kind gestures.

We will definitely do the Animation Class next time (I so enjoye:)d it last year for our first time).

Isn't his Muppet shirt great? I had to get that for him the minute I saw it.

Great Update !!Loved the Andy Pooh pix !!!:love:I am sooo glad you explained the Title , it made no sense to me before but now is PERFECT:cloud9::hug:

Thank you, Rosie. And I'm glad the title now makes sense to you. :)

Isn't it great doing something nice for someone while at Disney:). It makes mem feel really good.

Ann, I could not have said it better. That whole sequence of photos reminded me off the very first time we took Andy to Disney and he was 18 months old. I actually got a little teary eyed during the photo session.

Jen, I agree with you re RnR and TOT, but he has his own mindset.

Thanks...I thought the Pooh pictures were great too.

Now, a little update that isn't on the Disney trip, but it is still Disney related. We got the house all done today.

Sorry I haven't posted much lately, Kathy. With Tom being sick I had to tend to two households and for fun, my boss threw in a few extra lessons as well.

So sweet Andy wanted to ride with you! And I love how he and his little friend "bonded". I was thinking the title of your TR must have to do with the kids wanting to be carried, so it was fun to find out I was right once I read your explanation.

The Pooh pictures are fun. We never do a lot of character pics, but it looks like something we should do!

Your Christmas decorations look fab! Some of them look VERY familiar - I have seen them around our house(s) as well. It's fun to see that you all have your trees up a month before Christmas. We only put ours up on Christmas Eve, but then we have real trees.
I haven't finished decorating yet, but will take pictures and post them on my pre-trip report soon.
