UPH Ticket Question

I know that as DVC members we get 10% off UPH tickets. Can these be purchased before we leave and then get the 10% DVC discount and the 'purchase before you travel' discount?

Also, our stay is broken down in 3 different properties, the BCV, OKW, and AKL Concierge; using points for each stay. Can we purchase the UPH for just one of our stays, or do we have to buy them for the whole length of our stay at all 3 properties?

The DVC member discount on UPH is available only at the resort and can't be combined with other discounts or purchased in advance.

Switching resorts does complicate the UPH. Some have reported ways to get it for multiple resorts. It's unlikely you will be able to get the DVC discount for the AKL portion of your stay, but you can purchase that one in advance.

You can ask MS for advice about combining the resorts and you'll also have to deal with the CM at check-in.

The DVC discount applies only when buying at the DVC resort upon arrival. Moreover, in your situation you would need to get a different pass at each resort and the discount does not apply to your stay at AKL as you must be staying at a DVC resort to get it. The resorts would allow you to avoid overlap -- for example if you buy a pass from Sun to Wed at BWV and then move to OKW on Wednesday, they would let your first pass day be Thursday at OKW. Nevertheless, the UPH is usually not the way to go when you are going to be staying at three different resorts. The per diem cost of a 3 day UPH is much higher than the per diem cost of a 7 day UPH. If you were to buy a 3 day and then another 3 day and then another 4 day UPH, you would spend a lot more than you would pay for a single 10 day UPH. You may want to consider a hopper which is cheaper when buying in advance than if buying at the resort or even an annual pass.

Thanks for your tips.

We'd prefer to just get the UPH for the 2 nights/3 days that we're at OKW. We've got bits and pieces of several partially used Park Hopper and Park Hopper Plus passes that we would use the rest of the time.

We've got 2 teenage boys and they're looking forward to spending time at Disney Quest. I figured getting the UPHs while we're close by at OKW would give them the chance to go to Disney Quest without having to buy individual Disney Quest passes.
