upgrading military discounted tickets to APs

Ok, checking on this again as paranoia sets in about upgrading my passes! Please help me see if I have understood this correctly!

I currently have 2 adult and 2 child 8 day ph passes which i purchased through my military base at a small discount. I would like to upgrade these to platinum APs when i get to WDW. As far as I can tell from the website the current cost of the passes I have now is $1756.00. The cost for new APs is $3190.76. All of this means that I should expect to pay $1434.76 when going to upgrade.

This whole process is making me very nervous but definitely worth it when I started thinking about my trip for next year! LOL! Thank you for any help/reassurance!

IF THESE ARE MILITARY SALUTE TICKETS, there is no "price bridging" involved when upgrading military tickets.

You would subtract the cost of what you paid for the military ticket from the current cost of the AP of your choice.
Then, pay the difference to purchase the AP.

You will not be saving any money by doing the AP purchase this way, but you won't be losing any, either.

IF THESE ARE REGULAR WDW MAGIC YOUR WAY TICKETS, you can use the current full cost of those tickets at the WDW gate, subtracted from the current cost of the AP of your choice .
Then, pay the difference to purchase the AP.

I must say that it is extremely difficult to discuss a "list of tickets" when talking cost.

If you have more questions, can you please just list the cost of one adult ticket in your question?

My apologies. Yes, they are regular MYW tickets. I can double check the numbers from here now that I understand I am subtracting the correct numbers. Thank you!
