Upgrade to Standard by National............

The site says a standard car is a 2/4 door Chevy Monte Carlo. Does anyone have any experience with a standard vehicles from National? We definitely need 4 doors. The standard falls between the Intermediate and Full size.

Im using the 2 upgrade coupon from Ent. book.

In National lingo, there is no difference between the standard and full size except the number of doors. Monte Carlos only come in two doors and they are, indeed, a full sized car. And, most times are the same price as the full size.

Why not use the dollars off coupon, use the Emerald Aisle and get a full size off that? They generally have them, and I have yet to use EA and not see them on the aisle.

I picked 2 door Monte Carlo's off the EA twice last year and my receipt called them standard. I don't think there is a "standard" aisle at MCO, they have them with the full size.

Yes, their classification is standard, but, it is rental lingo for full size two door. And, there are not many.

Also, just to let you know, When I went to book my vehicle using the 2 car upgrade the ressie desk person actually hunted for the best deal on a car for us-she said it was better to use the EC $20 off coupon than the upgrade since the upgrade would be dependent on availability. She suggested I book the class of car I really needed rather than be disappointed should nothing be available.

Thank you for the responses. I will look into booking an intermediate also.

So far our best rates are with National with the upgrades. I also have a 1 car upgrade coupon also.

Has anyone tried to use an upgrade coupon but there are no cars available in that class?
