Upgrade Surprise?

Book the suite you want and you won't be disappointed. That being said don't be afraid to ask. I'm pretty sure no one received one who didn't ask.

As far as no one receiving an upgrade that didn't ask, that is not true. On our first Disney cruise, we booked an oceanview room on Deck 2 on the Magic, which we would have been perfectly fine with, but not long before our cruise, we were upgraded to a veranda room on Deck 6 (I don't remember the categories). We did not ask to be upgraded. But of course we totally enjoyed the veranda, and now I only book a veranda room when I cruise.

If you ask for an upgrade, you will be expected to pay for it. We didn't ask for either of our upgrades.

Yep. All our upgrades we didn't ask for. Just what we got assigned.
