Upgrade a G-A-D Ticket to So CA City Pass?

We have our Give a Day vouchers for Disneyland for this June. Can we turn in our voucher in at the gate and then once inside, upgrade it to the Southern California City Pass? I know they sell the pass at Disneyland but I'm not sure if they are treated separatey because the passes are from another company.

I read a similar question on another website but people replied with certainty both yes and no, so I am not sure who is right.

I would like to know the answer to this as well. A friend of mine has GAD vouchers for himself and his son and would like to upgrade them to the City Pass tickets if it's possible to do.
