Following along! Definitely a dream of mine to do a race at Disney. I did a half marathon here in Indianapolis a couple years ago but have since slacked on the running front. Really need to get back into it.

Nicole, I passed on the pin and the necklace. I'm not big on pins to begin with, but I also want to be able to get some stuff at the expo and decided that I would wait until I got there with spending money to decide! The tshirt and the medal are what I really want and my registration covered those!

It really wouldn't be one of my PTR's if there weren't BIG CHANGES, right in the middle of planning.

So, the changes? My chEARsquad just shrank. Rey and I have been talking a lot about the upcoming trip, and WOW, it's upcoming faster than I thought! 8 months does not seem very long, especially when it means I'm running a half marathon!

We had a plan for what we wanted on our next family trip to WDW and this trip just cannot be THAT trip. We wanted to take the boys to AKL, we know they would love it and also wanted them to experience a different resort, other than PoP. The funds just are not there for a big trip. This trip was supposed to be about my run, but it ended up looking on paper like a pinching-penny trip and we just decided that it would be better to wait until 2015 for the whole family to go and go the way we really want to. It gives us more time to save.

Sooooo, that means the trip just not only became WAY cheaper, it became a girls trip! All Princesses, all the time!!! It will be me, Savannah, and her friend Eleanor (who has never been to WDW!)

They already bought matching headbands for the trip.

I'm a little concerned about being a third-wheel with just the two girls, but I will have running friends there and two girlfriends coming down (at least one of them running with me) and I think it will be fine. I'm feeling relieved b/c I was stressed about the cost of a big trip and this will be much easier to do. I'm now working on revising all the ADR's (lots of character meals!) and our plans as I'm shaving a day off the trip too. We'll be doing 5 nights, Friday through Wednesday.

I'll post my changes as I get them done...at least it will give me some Disney planning to do, right?

I think one of the things I LOVE most about your PTR's is your constant changing of plans. I know what you mean about pinching pennies, and it seems like you have to make so many sacrifices on those trips. It is Disney after all and you can't "settle" at Disney! I think you made a great choice for you and your family and in the end, you will be happy to have had the extra time and money to plan the BIG family trip you are dreaming of.

Psst... I haven't revealed anything over on my PTR yet, but I have 2 more trips in the works...and 1 is a BIG family trip! Shhhhh....don't tell anyone just yet.

I am looking forward to hearing more of your plans...and 8 months will fly by before you even know it!

Thanks Amanda! I have another couple 10K's I'm doing this year, so I'll have the chance to better my time as well. Not sure if I can get myself a better corral, but that's ok, I just didn't want to be in the way back, weaving around walkers! I read on one of your reports that you weren't doing the PHM in 2014...you are doing the Marathon in Jan, right?

Found you, whew! My stupid phone doesn't show siggys so I thought I was going to have to wait until tomorrow but then I realized (duh) that you prob had a link in your last TR which I was already subscribed to. Voila, here I am!

Not caught up here yet and my eyes are getting droopy so that will have to wait. But I did finish up what I missed from the TR and I'm so glad I did!! I knew the basic details but that last "Through Savannah's Eyes" post was just so perfect. And her pics are great too!

I wish I could take my own shot, but I'll be on the wrong end, won't I? I am having all kinds of worries about photos during the race! My phone takes decent pics, BUT...it's hard to use and I'm afraid if I hand it to a CM, they won't be able to use it correctly. I'm thinking of borrowing someone's P&S (I just have to find someone who owns a decent one that doesn't mind sweat all over it!) I know you are really surprised that I'm worried about the photos during the race.
