So after an hour of "disney math", I changed my reservation. Previously booked using 30% room discount for 7 nights with dining and 1 day passes for 2 adults and 1 child (child to be upgraded to 5 day at gate). Ended up re-booking with a combo of the new package and the 30% general public room only code.
Old price- 7 nights at pop @ 30%, 7 days
ddp (2 Adults & 1 child), 2 adult 1 day passes, 1 child 5 day pass, ddp tips for $1600.
New price - 5 nights @ pop (rack), 2 nights at pop @ 30%, 5 days ddp (2 Adults & 1 child), 2 days OOP food(same eating itinerary), 2 adult 5 day passes, 1 child 5 day pass, ddp tips for $2000 - $300 gift card = $1700.
So by doing the split reservation, it works out to be $100 more money total on an already discounted package, but dh and I now get 5 day park passes instead of 1 day passes for $50 more a ticket. Had 4 day passes left on no exp. tickets, but for $50 each - we will take the tickets
Worked for us, because all of our more $$ table service reservations were earlier in the week anyway so losing 2 days on the ddp was a big savings for those 2 days. It actually worked out better for us than the buy 5/get 2 deal as well. If I took the $300 off the room price then it is $172.50 total for the first 5 nights (63% savings) and the last 2 nights are 30% off.
I'm happy!
