UPDATED: New Discount Being Released 12-21

I got the same answer. The CM was very nice, and said that my code is correct for the giftcard. She said I wouldn't need to bring anything with me to get it, and that she was noting on the reservation that I called and she verified the gift card for me.


They are very nice but they insisted you don't need anything - however when I pushed and got the email it very specifically says:

" The Disney Gift Card is received at time of resort check-in at the front desk. Please bring your confirmation paper work with you."

I would call back and ensure you get the email just to make sure they don't try to tell you sorry no paperwork no gift card.

I, too, would want the gift card mentioned. It was mentioned on our offer last May on both reservations. The card was rec'd on checkin and you did have to sign for receipt of it. It worked like a charm to upgrade a 1 day pass to an AP and the other was mostly for food that we purchased along with TinW card!! No problems whatsoever.
 
When I modified my existing reservation to include the gift card, I was told that I would receive an email. I received it that same day. As a matter of fact, within a few hours. The email thanked me for booking a vacation and had a link to review my reservation. I clicked the link and it gave me all the details including the gift card.

Now, when I go to My Disney Vacation on the website, it says nothing about it. As a matter of fact, in the ticket section, it says ERROR. I emailed Disney Travel about it and they said they were having some issues with their site but it should be resolved soon.

I got the same thing so I called twice to check it out. The first time I called I just told them I didn't get the confirmation e-mail and asked them to review the reservation for me and they said the code with card had been applied. The second call I just told them about the error message and asked if they could review the reservation for me - again it was fine with the gift card on there. The person I spoke to said that their general public Web site wasn't 100% mapped to their reservation site and that only the initial reservation would show up, not any resulting changes. Don't know if that's true but it does make a bit of sense.
 

Can't find if this has been answered - Can I book 6 day base tickets, and then once I get the giftcard - go upgrade them to park hoppers using the giftcard? :confused3 Trying to save all we can! Thanks! :goodvibes

Yes, we got a free giftcard in May and used one to upgrade a one day pass to an AP!! (even with the 10%off passalong card) NO problem using these giftcards (they are not resctricted like those 500 for 395 ones)
 
Yeah!! I hope this works for me too! We are not wanting to pull DD out of school so are stuck with going on Spring Break week (better than not going at all!). We will also be arriving on 3/26 and staying for 9 nights so my arrival date is BEFORE the blackout date. I am going to call first thing in the morning and hope to get the $500 gift card added!! :banana:

I called this morning and got the GC added to our ressie! The CM I had was very polite and took care of this very promptly. When I asked about a confirmation email, he said that I would receive one within 2-3 hours. Sure enough within a couple hours I had the email. It had a link within it that said to click here for reservation details and then the link showed in detail what we were getting and it listed the $500 GC. Yeah!!! :goodvibes This should cover most all our meals for the three of us!! I'm so excited as I have never received a PIN in the past and with us being limited when we can go this year I was unable to take advantage of any other sort of discount! I'm so excited to be going again and now this has got me even more EXCITED!!!!! :cloud9:
