UPDATE Michael Jackson rushed to the hospital (He Has Died)

My gut tells me he did molest children in some way, but that he wasn't a bad person but mentally ill. Not excusing him, just feeling sorry for him that he was he was so messed up with enablers all around him. I believe he loved children, and saw himself as a child, which led to his sick behavior. It makes me sad that his "protectors" didn't step in years ago as soon as he started getting weird. Those kids could have been saved from the molestation, and
Michael could have been saved from his self-destruction.

didn't think it was THAT kind of pic... it is of him going into the ambulance... :(

I would say it is more shocking then sad.
The first concert I evwe went to was the MJ victory tour. I remembwr him bwing more famous then Elvis.
I'm not sure he was ever more famous Elvis he was popular just not that popular

I totally agree. It's just so very sad.

again with the insensitivity above at a time of mourning... maybe someone should start a I hate mj thread... so people can mourn without this. He isn't even in the ground yet

Wow, I just remembered he was married to Lisa Marie.....I can only imagine her reaction right now... Esp since it sounds like Elvis and MJ might have had similar ends....so sad...:(

Sure, but this thread isnt about his kids or a thread to give your respects to his family. Its about the death of Michael jackson and people feel differently and are expressing that. If this thread was called..Pay your respects to MJ;s family, I get it.

I'm shocked and very saddened by Michael's death, but I aree with you.

Of course I feel for his children and family and I never alluded that I felt differently.
I thinks its horrible that you are so quick to call someone who was molested a liar in it for money- did you even think perhaps this child and his family wasn't emotionally able to go through the drama of a very PUBLIC and humiliating trial and that is why he settled?
I don't agree with the glorification of someone who admitted to providing alcohol to minors and putting them in compromising positions

And I think it's horrible to bring this to a thread where people are obviously upset and in shock at the loss of a music legend.

We've all seen the news, and share our own opinions on the matter, but this isn't the time for it.

Folks better buckle up....larry king just basically said anyone who had settled with MJ legally can probably now tell their stories...

as he put it..the tabloids will be full of these stories next week....

I don't hate Michael Jackson.

We're all upset and shocked, just not everyone is in mourning. We'll all be eternally grateful for what he contributed to the music industry, but just because he was a talented artist, does not mean he was a good person or a respectable person. I really think people tend to believe if you're famous, you get a pass on everything.

I feel for his children -- not his wacky family who drove him be a nut and I certainly hope **ll freezes over before any of them get their hands on his kids.

I don't think there is a lot of $$$ left. I thought he was pretty much bankrupt. Of course his death could bring in a surge of music sales and maybe an increase in royalty checks.

By all accounts he was more than bankrupt and deeply in debt. He also refused to do anything about it. The 'sale' that he authorized and then pulled out of was obviously canceled at the last minute. His 50 dates in London were sold out, yet Jackson did nothing to prepare for the concerts.

again with the insensitivity above at a time of mourning...

It is the internet. Anyone can say anything. I was one of the 1st posters on this thread. Should I say "take your positivity" elsewhere? Silly.

In light of his death we are discussing his life. The GOOD and the BAD...both. Not everyone has to agree.

He was an amazing performer and I would hope people would admit had some serious issues, what ever the reason for those issues are.

While I am not an MJ fan my heart goes out to his family, especially his kids. 50 is too young to go :sad1:

don't have to... because the norm is to be respectful when one dies.. :) and to mourn so take hate elsewhere please.. but I can't stop it though.... some people will dance... :(

I just saw that picture online too. Can't believe they published that. I remember when John Lennon died and they had a picture of him in the morgue in the paper. I was so upset. People act like ghouls at times like these.
