Hi everyone! The Official December 2006 DVC List has been updated on November 13th, and it currently reflects the final DVC Tree Swap List! If you don't see your name on the December list, please post your travel dates and I will add you on the next update! A BIG thanks to wdwstar for handling the tree sharing another year! Great job as always! I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday vacation in WDW!

I bought the boxes at UPS and they look tough enough to withstand being tossed! They said I could UPS it tomorrow and it would get there Friday for $10, I may FEDX them just in case.

I think you will be fine with UPS - the other tree is not needed until 25th

I shipped SSR tree #3 yesterday via UPS. Told it should arrive on Monday.
Cost was $30, I suppose because of distance?

At any rate, it is a big brown box with two white labels on top and I wrote SSR Tree #3 on all the sides, just to help bell services with finding it. One of the labels has all names on it and there is a marker inside to use for crossing out names.

BCV # 1 tree box is about 3 feet tall and the box is brown with red letters that say " Infra- Red heater", i think, unless LIFERBABE put it in a new box.
Ithink the box that it was in was crush on one side from shipping. Hopefully LIFERBABE will chime in..... she shipped it this year.

Okay, all those on OKW 1 and OKW 3 lists - the trees have finallly shipped....equipped with lots of different things for you to decorate with.

The shipping on each box was $23.56 - because I put the exact same items in each box!

Since both boxes are coming to me at OKW next week....I'll bring down a FEDX label and put it in the box so that the two families at the end of the list can just bring it back down to the front desk. I'll also figure out where you can leave it....if it's not the front desk.

I forgot to put my address on the outside, but it's on the UPS label and it's on the inner flap of the box. I also put the list of recipients on the outside and the inside.

I'll slip a marker in there next week.

Thank you mmmcq, we are looking forward to our first christmas tree at Disney. Looks like our donation will be in the $5 range for return shipping (we are on the OKW#1 tree).

We really appreciate your efforts in this. It still amazes me all the kindness on these boards.

Great! I'm looking forward to our time with the tree. I assume it has a return address so that I can ship it back.

Inside the box I taped an envelope labeled donations. Inside the envelope I slipped in a printed return address label, which can be taped on with the tape that is in the box.

I also taped another name list in case the outside one gets damaged.
Lemme think, oh yeah, there is one other item taped to the inside of the box for all recipients.

There are two extension cords, one for the tree and one for the balcony. I put in a box of swag lights my DD picked out for the balcony.......
The tree itself is about three feet tall with decorations wired on. The only thing that needs to be added is the topper, which is in the box. Tree is wrapped in bubble wrap to protect the ornaments, then I put in packing peanuts...........which hindsight could be a pain. Should have used packing paper to fill the space. Too late though, so just be prepared for the peanuts!!

Thanks Chim Chiminy for reminding me.... I too put small 6ft extension cords in the box, but forgot to add a box of extra lights for the balconies. I'll bring those with me today and add them to the box when I get down there.

And (I was really, really forgetful yesterday) I'll put an envelope for shipping donations and a return address in there as well...

What am I doing on DIS??????? I am still not packed. Not a single thing. Can someone please, please come over to help! I have exactly 6 hours. HELP......

Fantastic! I was thinking about bringing an ext. cord and some lights for the balcony but I wasn't sure how I was going to sneak them into the luggage without the wife wondering why I was doing that. (Neither she nor her two sisters, who are also going, have any idea about the tree... I figured that it'd be a fun surprise! They're already going bonkers with anticipation, this is just one more thing to make the trip special.)
