UPDATE #293 FINAL LIST : DVC Christmas Tree, Sharing Holiday Magic!

Hi all, just back in the door from our week at WDW. The trees arrived on Monday while we were still at OKW. One of the boxes (purchased from UPS by the way) was a bit crushed in on one end, but I opened it and pushed it back out. It should be fine. Both boxes are now labeled properly and have tape inside.

As I was retaping them I realized a dilemma. You will need to cut off 4-6 pieces of tape before you reseal the box - with the tape inside for the next family. Otherwise you'll have to reopen it to put the tape back in!

One tree should have been picked up today.

Also, I didn't get a chance to put in a 2nd string of lights for a balcony. (I didn't find any extra in my cache before we left and I didn't have time to go buy some more).

There is only one small extra set in the box....really not big enough for the whole balcony. So if you have your heart set on outdoor lights you'll have to bring your own. We saw two balconies lit at OKW while we were there....but I didn't have time to check and see if they were DIS families. We were too busy having fun.

Happy Holidays. I've got unpacking and laundry and 1000 other things to do - like plan for the 7 yr old birthday party tomorrow now that we're back on earth. Yikes.

Cheri....are you replacing 1000happyhaunt (sp?) on the VWL Tree #1 list? Glad to see someone enjoying that beautiful tree all during the holiday season.

Bummer, I didn't think of mini tree skirts. I make larger ones all the time as gifts....so if I get a chance next week I may try to make a couple quickly and ship them down to OKW. I'll definitely make a bunch for next year.

Thanks wdwstar, and Thank you once again for oputting this all together for us! It's just one of those specila magical touches that will make our trip that much more enjoyable- and it's all due to your initial co-ordination of the project.

Hi everyone! We got back last night from SSR. We had tree#3. It was wonderful! Everyone enjoyed having the tree in the room. Chim Chiminy, you did a great job on the tree! Thanks for sharring. We left the tree with Bell Services and they knew exactly what to do with it. They said that tree sharring was very popular.
