Christina I will gladly trade you your cold weather for our miserable 80+ heat! :faint:

It finally started to cool down a bit today. Hopefully it stays this way the rest of the week.

So what's up? How are you? What have you been up to?

Poly is playing with my tape measure, do you think she's measuring herself to order a new outfit?

Or is she looking at it and going "OMG I can't believe how fat I'm getting!"

or "OMG I lost two inches in my waist!"

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Morning Hyenas!

Well, I was hoping for a crazy update moto. Maybe she will do something fantastic at magic mountain today.

Ok I really hope she doesnt cause you trouble of course.

To all of you who have never changed a babies diaper my dh didnt do it til my dd was born. My best friend was sitting in the hospital room with us and Jeff noticed she needed her diaper changed. He pushed the nurses button!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I could not get up as I was recovering from surgery and both my best friend and I busted (as best I could) out laughing and she went through this huge tutorial on how to change a diaper for him. The nurse came in and saw what was going on and said they usually have to teach one of the first time parents how to do it.

Dont worry they give you A LOT of info on caring for a baby in the hospital! :lmao: Its after that stage where it gets tricky.....:rolleyes1

I'm starting to think she might be doing things for attention. DBF said she didn't freak out at all with the whole luggage ordeal. Well see how she is at Magic Mountain. If she's fine there but freaks out when all 3 of us are somewhere then I'll know for sure.

I asked DBF what her psychiatrist told her on Monday and I guess the Dr. thinks she's not depressed enough for any kind of medication. Strange.

Yeah, I doubt a doc would say she didn't need meds.. if a doc even suspects depression they like to get you on meds at least for a trial period.. something doesn't add up there????

Yeah... it seem a little fishy to me.

Soooooo... Dh told me he thinks there is a mouse in our car. :headache:   We are not new to having a mouse in our car. We had one in our last car... We live in a heavily wooded area, and our garage is more like a carport with a door on the front and a fence on the back. I am SO pissed. So far we can find any evidence that it has been anywhere but the glove compartment, but do you know what a mouse does to a car? It chews up wires, and poos in the car. I am just so totally pissed off about this. Its a freaking new car!! We traded in the last one, it was destroyed. Our speedometer wouldnt work when the headlights were on.. I know it had something to do with that little mouse. We got some traps... Im hoping we dont have to put poison out.. We had to last time, and the bugger died in the engine area. I never smelled it, but dh could. ARGH....

well, hubby had a routine nephrologist appt today... he asked about taking a different sleep med (the extended release version of Ambien) to have more coverage. The neph said he should have a sleep study done. :cheer2:
Apparently a large percentage of people on dialysis also have sleep apnea, lately he's been falling asleep very quickly and snoring LOUD yet he wakes up easily and doesn't feel like he has slept at all.. feeeling tired all day long.

I'm really happy with this doc,he treats hubby politely and professionally and still gives him grief (in small doses) to take care of himself better. :goodvibes

ewwwwwwwwwwwww
My mom lives out on a lake property, she brought the camper truck in to be serviced and got scolded bythe mechanic. A mouse had used the truck in the winter (stored in a pole barn/garage) to store food (dog food) away in the air filter of the truck :scared1:

hmm, read up on cars and mice...

Some suggestions:
Downy fabric softener sheets

Peppermint oil on cottonballs

Altoids (regular kind has lots of peppermint oil)

Mothballs UNDER the car (but be careful with the kids as they are poisonous if ingested)

fox urine sprinkled outside of the car (hmm, odd but I bet it would work!)

clean human hair -nontreated (ask for it at a hair salon, tuck it under the seats and dash, bonus-- it will keep you warm in the winter!)

hm, ingenious instructions to make a car corral out of aluminum flashing-- makes sense-- slippery surface that they can not climb!

Good morning, hyenas!
There, had to get that in while I still could, seeing as it's nearly noon!

DS3 is eating lunch and I just finished up a long phone call with my mom. My ex-SIL is in town and wants to get together this weekend. It's nice that she tries to keep in touch with our family for my nephew's sake. But their last visit was a bit of a disaster (she also has a horrid then-4yo DD), so we're not exactly going out of our way to get together this time, you know?

My nephew is 20yo, his father (my brother) has basically ignored him since he divorced the ex-SIL. :sad2:

So my mom and I try to see them when we can. After the last visit, DH wants nothing to do with them, and will not let the boys be around that child, so not sure if we'll see them or not this time. I feel bad about that. :(

DS3 is apparently done with his lunch. He has peanut butter and jelly all over his face and hands, and is walking in circles around the coffee table... :confused3

Time to get him down for nap, BRB...

We used coyote urine on our lawn when the raccoons were tearing it up. That stuff is expensive! Still... Makes you wonder just exactly how one collects coyote urine. Maybe the big expense is the medical costs of the collector? :rotfl:

Ya, like with me, I'm perfectly normal and my doc still put me on meds.:dance3: :rotfl:

:scared1: I hate rodents! I would not get in that car until it was found!

makes you wonder huh??

Do you know there is a med on the market (estrogen type) made from the urine of pregnant mares?

ummmmmmm, I think I'll take the synthetic version ty

:upsidedow

Hello!

I'm all caught up now!

Sarah I hope the next few days go OK with Crazy. I tend to agree with the others....... Something is fishy. Maybe your BF can talk some sense into her, and help her see, that she needs some help.

GEESH, after flying through all those pages last night, I figured you'd be at least on page 70 by now! :rotfl:

Hi all. this morning I worked at the school, then picked up Jake and took him to the district office to have a chat about kindergarten again. They have no clue whether or not they are going to offer half day in our school next year.

I just dont understand how you could not know. Registration has been open for a month. Surely you have some idea. last year there were 6 half day programs.

I do not need full day. My neighbors son is in full day and is bored out of his mind because its just the same curriculum stretched out over the length of the day with 5 recesses and a lunch.

After I pointed out that each school in our district had 6 half day classes she said well, its convenient for those of us who work. This was said with a ton of attitude.

I was so frustrated I was not going to get into the whole stay at home mom debate with the district secretary in front of Jake but that was just rude. I figured any way I responded to that she would think I was being snobby because I DONT work. I knew I would get no where with her. :headache: :headache: :headache: So I'll just wait and see tomorrow night at kindergarten round up.

Not to mention the area I live in has a HUGE population of stay at home moms so I'm not really sure where her comment has merit in why they dont know about half day kindergarten now.

I hate not knowing. then you should have seen the look on the other ladies face when I said, "well, I'm going to register him in a charter school for half day as well just in case you dont offer them here" She looked mortified. We have a tiny district surrounded by the huge Gilbert District struggling to survive and it doesnt need any more angry parents believe me. I wish we would annex in with Gilbert because Gilbert can handle the growth that is seen in our area of the valley. Unfortunately our district cannot.

Sorry for the vent. I just get so upset about this.
